Fun place. Good food. Great drinks and very nice staff. Fun place for big group or work gatherings.

It's like a real life golfing video game! You whack the shit out of galf balls at targets on the range. Each target has different levels of scoring. It's also cathartic to take out the days stress on the balls (hehehe)... You receive a card that can be loaded with credit. You pay by the hour... $20/hour from opening to 6pm $40/hour from 6pm to Close Each bay has an automated score keeping system, much like bowling alley. Servers attend to you for all your food and beverage needs. Service is great. Friendly and attentive, they make sure your needs are met. The food is just alright to me. The salsa that comes with the chips taste too much like marinara to me. Not bad, but it just doesn't taste like salsa. The Craft Beer Queso has a decent base flavor. The beer is prevalent, but the queso is pretty bland for the most part. The other items we tried were not worth mentioning. This is a great place to unwind and hang with friends. TV's everywhere allow you to watch sporting events. They provide the basic clubs, but you're free to bring your own. They have bag stand at your disposal. They have music, too. LOUD music. Exceptionally loud music. It's like being at a nightclub. I know most people don't care about the level of noise, but when I'm hanging out with my friends, I like to be able to have a conversation without yelling. Parking is a bit rough, so I would advise carpooling if possible. The big negative of my visit was my interaction with a manager. He was pretty curt and rude to me. I won't get into specifics, but he could learn something from the staff. Condescending attitude and making faces while you talk to me...that's not the way to treat your patrons. I don't know how often I would come back here on my own, but I wouldn't turn down an invite from my freinds if they want to give this place a try. read more

I don't golf. But this was a fun introduction. I've been there three times now. Whacking at a ball with friends from your bar table, great idea. Atmosphere fun, drinks pretty good. I really want to like this and bring people. But the FOOD, really truly sucks. Almost blows the whole thing. It's not hard to do the math and look around at three levels of driving bays at $40 an hour and figure these guys are raking it in. So why the crappy starchy high-priced filler fodder? I guess, because we buy it? Because they can? Kind of felt greedy and it cheapened the fairly expensive experience. The server recommended the "mushi" which they call something like Mexican sushi. But they were just small hockey pucks of flavorless flour and rice with three pellets of some protein in the middle. Big gummy starchy hockey pucks. Even the guys didn't eat them. The chips & salsa or guacamole means you get lots of chips and a thimble of guac. Or a thimble of salsa. The queso is half flour paste with some yellow colored cheese flavoring. The first bucket of beer came with limes. The second bucket without. We asked for limes. They never came. Our dishes, empties, and food (mostly uneaten) sat on our table without being cleared for over an hour. I get it that flour, rice and corn are cheap. And maybe we aren't quite out of the recession. But it seemed very 'tacky' and chintzy to charge so much for floury pastey sub-pub grub. Spring rolls are cheap to make. Cheese plates with olives maybe? Something that's not a starchy flavorless glop. Until they improve their food offerings, eat before you go. The golfing part is fun though (even though our ball dispenser broke down twice). read more

Do not say "no" automatically, just because you have not swung a golf club since 2 rotator cuff surgeries. Go. Give it a chance. It is like Dave and Busters on Golf Steroids. I just read through other people's reviews and sounds like they had a similar experience of expecting to not like it and then having fun... so your reluctance to say yes is not unique. read more

Like other reviewers, we were lucky enough to get to try out TopGolf before it opens to the public later this week. We had a great time. It's the perfect spot for a birthday party, company party or even just a date! The facility is amazing. The game was really fun for all skill levels. The staff was also very attentive and helpful. You could tell it's a well-oiled operation with good management because everyone was very knowledgeable about everything. We tried several of the food options -- the wing trio, chicken and waffle sliders, turkey burger and doughnut holes were the standouts. Try it out... It really is something fun and different! read more

READ THIS BEFORE USING THE VALET!!! Top Golf. Its a great time, yes and if I was basing my review on how good of a time I had, I would have given them at least 4 stars. However, I have several complaints about the newly opened business. First of all, there is NO PARKING which leads you to use their 'complimentary valet' system. When I turned my ticket it in at the same time as my boyfriend my car took forever to get out. We stood there waiting with his car while other people got their cars. At the time I didnt think much of it but then afterwards I realized there was a HUGE dent in my car where someone had backed into my car and TopGolf was the ONLY place I took my car the entire weekend!! Of course, TopGolf will not take responsibility because I should have inspected my car before I left the property. Well, even if I had done that, it was dark outside and I trusted them with my car so I didnt think there would be damage to it. I know its the risk you take when you let someone take your car BUT you would hope if something did happen to your car while in their hands (as it did) that they would have at least come forward to let you know. Theres nothing worse than geting your car back with damage to it and nobody letting you know it happened. I know it was an accident especially when you are packing cars in like sardines, but I wish someone would just take responsibility. This isnt just some small scratch or dent from a door....this is a HUGE dent that looks like a trucks bumper backed into my car. All I can hope for now is that management takes this complaint seriously and talks with their drivers! Bottom line: They need more parking and better drivers at the valet and they need to take responsibility for their actions!! *Please see the picture posted under topgolf to see the damage!!* On to my other complaints. I was there early waiting for my friends so I sat at the bar and waited. They were not busy at the bar. At least every damn bartender walked by me twice and did not help me. Finally the guy next to me told the bartender I needed help. The girl then took my order but she was working on another drink order so she told another bartender to get me a margarita. Well, he then forgot and they realized I still didnt have a drink so then they were all trying to figure out where my margarita was and then realized nobody had ever gotten it. I finally get my drink about 15 minutes after sitting down. I've never seen so much confusion on ordering a margarita. I must say though, the margarita was delicious. Then I go to close out and ask for my card back and the bartender looks at me like Im a fool stating that I should have gotten it immediately back when I ordered. I told him they kept it so then he had to go track down the guy who kept my card. The bar and bartenders just seemed so confused and a mess. Never have I had such difficulty trying to get a margarita. Now, we go to play golf. Our waitress was awesome. She did a great job. BUT I ordered another margarita and was waiting for FOREVER and so she felt terrible and went to check and apparently the machine was 'frozen'. So, in the meantime, she got me another drink for free while I waited. BUT then that drink took another 20 minutes to get. The waitress felt terrible. Finally both my drinks come out within 3 minutes of each other. Food. The food was good. But they messed up our order twice. We ordered the turkey wrap with french fries and no chipotle sauce. Well, our wrap comes out as lettuce wraps w/ no french fries. So we send it back. The wrap then comes out correctly (on a tortilla) but still has chipotle sauce on it. At this point, I just ate it because I was starving. So this is why they get 1 star from me. parking needs to be addressed ASAP!! Its totally unacceptable! Disappointed customer. Im still waiting to hear back from management.... read more

Topgolf - this is apparently what happens when you valet your car here! Do NOT valet your car!! - New American Near Me - Austin, Texas

In case you just arrived at this party: Top Golf is a ginormous, multi-tiered bar with (mostly) outdoor 'bays' built into it where you can drink, eat, and drive golf balls into the night, all at the same time. They provide a variety of clubs to whack with, and they even have some magick set up to keep score for you based on how far and where you hit said balls when you do so. There's the tallest cargo net I have ever seen anywhere set up to prevent even the lumberjacks among us from accidentally smacking nearby Culver's or a Cap Metro train in the distance. (There is no safety net to prevent rearward release of a club swing though, similar to bowling, so don't let go on the backswings, y'all). You need to 'sign up' and get a Top Golf card for $5 (lifetime membership, I think) to be eligible to do the ball whacking, unless somebody else with you has a card. No card needed to just hang out at the bar. I'm giving TG 4 stars just for going way the hell above and beyond to be both a) a bar and b) something interesting to do at a bar besides drink. It's true, they thought carefully about how to keep it rolling when the weather changes - screamin' ceiling-mounted space heaters you can manually control over the bays where the ball whackin' takes place, for instance. I have not gone yet in the dead of summer to see how they manage AC outside (let's hope there's fans and misters, but I didn't notice them on my first visit). TG loses the 5 star from my hard ass for 1. drinks, kind of unspecial-tasting despite hints of the contrary and 2. food, which, while clearly well thought out (being a fairly extensive menu of continental hybrid somewhere between TGI Friday's and Roaring Fork) I thought was kinda meh-tasting. I didn't eat a lot on my first bludgeon-fest at TG, though, so I will reserve judgement for my second outing. Yeah, yeah, you don't go to Top Golf because they even have food or drinks (which they clearly have), but because you want to get hammered with some friends or your office or a whole party (the upper tiers are reserved for reservationed parties) and smack little white balls onto colorfully glowing rings out in the green lit distance. But they seem to pride themselves on being kinda upscale-ish, so I'd expect the actual consumables to be the same. Definitely fun if you want to do something besides get drunk and bowl...or get drunk and look out at Lake Travis.. or get drunk and stifle on a downtown patio. Recommended : ) read more

Topgolf - good form. - New American Near Me - Austin, Texas

The concept of this place is interesting. Diet golf! What really disappointed me was that on a Monday, this place seemed to have more staff than clients and somehow the service still managed to stink. We ended up walking over to the bar to get drinks because the server took too long and when she finally showed up, she seemed a little peeved that a few of us already ordered from the bar. A few minutes later another server came to take orders not realizing one already came by. Our drinks came without a problem initially. She never took the used glasses and pitcher off the table and took a long time to take orders for another round of drinks. The worst part is my poor third-trimester pregnant friend ordered food and it never came. About one hour later we asked the waitress what the status was on the food order and she was like "uhhh what did you order". She then came back and said "it'll be right out". Right out turned into 45 minutes and we finally decided to close out and eat somewhere else prior to our two hour reservation completion. It was after we closed out our tab that we saw another guy bring sliders near the table and the waitress turned him back. If I were the waitress, I would have said, your food arrived, let me box it for you or please take it on the house. Own up to your mistake! This place seemed really poorly managed. I told the manager upon leaving and he apologized-that was it. If I were running that place, I would have offered to comp the tab or do something other than say sorry to me. At a bare minimum, he should have apologized directly to my friend by waiting to meet her (she was in the bathroom at the time). Instead, he walked off to the parking lot after our conversation. I cannot believe my pregger friend was left starving and we had to actually leave here to go to a restaurant to get food. They should be embarrassed of themselves. I can see how this place has potential. I just think that the management needs some improvement. Too many staff were walking around and seemed ill trained. read more

Oh Top Golf, I really, really, really wanted to love you. It seemed like the place every techie would love. Combining golf with skiball and bowling style scoreboards. It should've been perfect. But it wasn't. Far from it. We first walked into to the place and faced a wall of people. The logistical setup didn't make much sense and there wasn't a natural flow to the registration. You have people up front at a little "concierge" desk who can only schedule you for a bay once you are a member fully knowing that a majority of people aren't already members. It might seem fancy to have a desk like that but it really just means that there is a people traffic jam at the front of your building lining up to get their memberships while you have 2 employees sitting there doing nothing as we waited 30 minutes just to get our membership card. There has to be a better way. Having kiosks (similar to the ones at terminals) would make a ton of sense. Or get rid of charging $5 for memberships. It's just a way to scam another couple of bucks out of an already expensive experience. Once we became members of this illustrious Top Golf, we then went back to the concierge where he pronounced (with a little too much glee) that it would be an hour and a half wait. We should've left then but we stuck it out. We went upstairs and figured we'd grab a beer and some food. What a mess. The bar was overwhelmed by a very average crowd. We ordered and waited over an hour while they tried to fulfill it. They'd bring out a salad here, a drink there, then the wrong appetizer, then the waiter disappeared all together. The service, especially for the price of the fare was really pathetic. And the other servers were so busy that we could never flag someone else down. Finally after waiting 2 hours for a bay, I found a manager and asked how far down the list we were...she got us a bay and gave us an extra 30 minutes for free because of our hassle. A nice move on her part. The golf was fun but not as fun as I had hoped. I think it was the 3 hour wait that kind of dampened my excitement of the experience. That said, its not a terrible place. The concept is innovative and the clubhouse is trendy. They just need to hire someone (like me) who could objectively observe, then improve their user experience. Living on a golf course where I can hit balls for free, Top Golf wasn't exactly worth the $40 an hour to hit golf balls. But I still think that the place has potential. Therefore, I won't give them a dreaded 1 star rating. Still, be warned. read more

Honestly, I never thought I'd say this because I never thought I would ever be interested in golfing. Recently however, my outlook has completely changed thanks to Top Golf. My husband's work treated us to a happy hour/dinner event and got to play on 2 bays while sipping on drinks and chowing down on what I would call slightly upscale bar food, which was perfect for the atmosphere! Bonus points for having an option for tator tots instead of regular french fries. Nom I loved the concept so much and it really helped that my batting arm pulled through a 180 something yard swing a few times! Yep first timer here got the last white "goal" just before the back wall. Very ecstatic to go back with friends and get some aggression out on a bunch of balls. read more

Really sad I have to do this, but I feel that it should be known. The first time we went to Top Golf, I cannot say enough good about the service, food and drinks. It was absolutely fabulous. We loved it so much we put credit on our Top Golf card to return in the future. The second, which is definitely our last, time started out great. Greeted my the friendly staff at concierge. We were put in to a bay right away and enjoyed our time golfing. We then decided to go down to the bar for a few drinks. We were paying with my debit card and planned on tipping our bartender cash. When my boyfriend went to ask the female bartender for something a little later, her response was "Maybe you should tip your bartender better". I have never been so disrespected. Yes, we had been drinking, but as a customer, you should never be spoken to like that. Like I said, I really hate to do this because I really love this place, but I sincerely hope no one ever is faced with that insult. Glad we have family in Houston so we can try the Top Golf there. Maybe we will be treated with a little more respect! read more

Five stars for an awesome idea and concept. But man this place is inefficient. Are there no jobs for teenagers in Austin? Because I'm pretty sure every 15 year old in the city works here. The place is really nice, and new, and very corporate-y which is fine. We sat in the bar area while we waited for a bay to open on the 2nd/3rd floor, WHICH by the way I think is totally worth it. Our server at the bar was fine, except they were out of margaritas.... who the heck runs out of margaritas on a Sunday? Isn't that a busy day for golf? I was kind of bummed because we had two people visiting us from Ireland, and I wanted to show them the fabulous beerita/coronita... sigh, oh well. Not the end of the world. We get into our bay, our guide or whoever explains us what to do. Sounded simple enough. Yeah, WRONG. It took us about half a game to figure it out. Hint: when you wave your club in front of the light, it HAS to be on your name. I know, it sounds like common sense, but we would wait for whoever's score to pop up on their name, got sick of waiting, and the next person would wave their club to get a ball while waiting for the score to pop up and BOOM it's the first person's next turn. It was fun though. It's a great concept. It's like if golf and bowling had a baby, it would be top golf. Our server in the bay however, was a big disappointment. I think her name was Susy Jo or something along those lines. She was having a great time, so great in fact, that she would literally walk by us without making eye contact multiple times. Like we had to borderline shout and wave at her. Which wouldn't be so bad but we're trying to play a game you know? She also told us she was going to get us shorter tees since both of ours were horribly long (and both bays next to us had shorter ones) and did not follow through. Lame. And then, once our hour was up, we had to wait +20 minutes to get our check and pay. Then we go inside to finish our drinks and they didn't get another group set up for another 20 minutes. No wonder the wait is so long. C'mon Top Golf, don't you have management? Don't you know how to turn over tables? Get with the program. Anyways, it wasn't all that bad, and I would have been more inclined to a three star experience, except while we were finishing up inside, the bartender had a giant mohawk. Now, I'm fine with people with mohawks. They're cool, whatever. However, I am not fine watching his mohawk go inside and all over the outside of every stem glass on the bar. Especially when I was drinking prosecco and sangria the whole time. It was disgusting. Like. Really gross. Ew. So! Don't drink anything from a stem glass. Don't be in a rush. Don't expect good service/food. Do expect to have a blast pretending you know how to hit a golf ball. read more

Beau, who was our Concierge ... fuckin rox. Still here, so I'll be back. Jammin tonite! .... So, totally sober & the next morning. Like I said in my original review, this place definitely knows what they're doing & for that, I say THANK YOU. As a non-20 year old, we needed a GOOD chill spot in Austin, period. Great selection of music. We literally were swingin clubs, shufflin & steppin at the same time. Lol That in itself will hook me every time. And last night wasn't a live band night, so the selected tracks were great. Can't wait to go back one of these Fall nights for a good band, cause rooftop is where it's at! Food: Excellent quality! Am yet to hear or see a dish that turned my nose up. My gf last night was very unhappy her well-done burger came out medium-well, but they took it back, made it right & truly apologized. Took a while for burger #2, but it came back right. (Even tho our hostess did NOT stick around to SEE what it looked like after being cut in half) Our chicken nachos & chicken quesadillas were great, and plentiful! Drinks: So far, I'm NOT impressed. Previous visit left me feeling "blah" about drinks then & last night was the exact same. I ordered a Rita on the rocks, and got back a $9 glass of sweet & sour mix. It was actually a horrible margarita. I asked my gf to taste it to make sure it wasn't my allergies killing my senses, but she said "oh no--that's really, really tart!". Thankfully it was easy to get our hostess back so I could send it back. She says, "do you want another?".. I said, "not if THAT'S what they're supposed to taste like?!".. So she suggested just adding some more sweet syrup, and I where I'm pretty easy on food & drinks & mistakes, I did NOT want more shit shoved into this already god awful glass to mask the tartness. I doubt they use the same Organic products I use to make mine, so "NO, I do not want all those artificial sweeteners and mixes in THAT small glass"... Insert an LOL. So she brings back a new Rita, and it was only good the first few sips. I gave up & didn't order anything else! (Thank God for pre-gaming & a DD) If I feel like switching to beer for consistency is my only option, you're failing miserably, cause I do NOT like beer!! My gf had a frozen strawberry before we arrived & she said, "I thought maybe it was just me! Mine was terrible!".. So, it seems like they may have a ways to go in drinks? I suppose they don't NEED to have any cheap(er) nights, but we went from 9-12 on a Tuesday, and it was awesome. Great breeze, not busy, but it'd be GREAT if they offered a reverse HH, or a 1/2 off golf NITE (vs only offering daytime discounted rates) But, it's a must! Come!! You'll love it. OH...... Ladies, girls, bitches, what have you. STOP WEARING SHORT DRESSES AND THONGS to play golf!!! As ass bomb or 8 is one thing when it's a nice ass...when it's NOT, it's just weird for everyone! Really. It's golf. Wear shorts, or full butt undies! NOW I'm done. :) read more

Why is Top Golf so well liked? Well, it's simple really, they took a mundane thing and added alcohol. Portland might be famous for putting a bird on it, but Austin is famous for putting a beer on it. "Oh hey, I didn't even notice that golf over there until you put a beer on it". They also added a game element and automatic computerized scoring to it, which appeals to the tech/nerd crowd who generally isn't the most athletic but will try ridiculously hard to win at any competitive game, especially when there are robots keeping score. Finally, the food is good, I mean, it's not going to win any health awards, but as far as bar food goes, it's better than most and it's served right to you as you relieve stress in a way that can only come from hitting a ball as hard as you can with a stick. Overall, this is a great place to take out-of-towners, co-workers for a team-building event or to just kick back a few with some friends on a weekday. It's a little too far north for my blood (I swear someone told me 'winter is coming' while i was in my backswing) so you probably won't hear me suggesting this place, but I would definitely meet friends up there if they beckoned me. NOTE: This is a big deal because I basically never want to go to north Austin. NOTE: I realize that regular golf has alcohol possibilities too. They have that lady in the beer cart who comes around every once in a while. The difference here is that instead of waiting 30 min every time you want an overpriced crap beer, you can wait no minutes and have a microbrew served by one of Top Golf's extremely friendly wait staff. So ya, it's better. read more

Oh man, what a good ole time! I have heard so much about this place for a few years now and I finally managed to make my way over. Let me start off by saying that the everyone was right! I had so much fun here. My boyfriend and I went on a Thursday evening around 8pm and we luckily got right into a bay on the first floor. Given I know this isn't the ideal location in comparison to the top but oh well. It was still a blast. The bays have a full table, waiters/waitresses, drinks, food items, and of course a digital score keeper that allows you choose and play specific golf games if you wish. I think my favorite part about this is that you do not have to be some professional golfer to come here and have a good time. You could completely suck ( like myself) and still do really well. If you're looking for a fun family night out, a date, or simply a night out with friends, I would suggest giving TopGolf a try! read more

I played at Top Golf in Dallas several years ago and I distinctly remember being really awesome at golf. Like, Arnold Palmer level of great. So last night in front of a big group of friends I decided to break out my old talent for all to see which is really easy to do here since the driving range and decks are such wide open spaces (you're really going to love the space at this place--it will meet every expectation of what you think when you hear 'driving range'). The way it works up in here is that you get yourself a plastic card and buy time for the space to hit the balls. Which brings up an important point: this is not a golf course. You don't need golf shoes or a caddy. You come here strictly to hit balls meaning that your lower body never moves except to walk back and forth from your beer to the driving range bay. There are colored light things that look like crashed UFO's out in the driving range field and that is where you are supposed to aim your ball so that you can get points. If you care about points. If you are good at aiming your ball. Or if you can actually make contact with the ball hard enough to get it out that far. Or if you can actually make contact with the ball at all. The food at Top Golf is bar type food meaning sliders, tacos, dips, french fries, ect. Surprisingly for bar food it is pretty tasty and they don't kill you on the prices. They have a decent selection of beers for $4-$6 range. Top Golf Bonus: You will get a good work out. I am typing this review with my left hand even though I am right handed because my right hand/arm/shoulder/right side of back/right hip/right butt cheek is really sore from all my athleticism last night. I'll probably come back a lot to meet cute guys (total dude spot here ladies) and get that sexy golfing body I've always wanted. read more

TopGolf is a well oiled machine; it's a pretty big operation, and it runs well. I was surprised to see how huge this place is, and the parking lot was packed. TopGolf has taken over Austin, and I didn't even enjoy golf until I came. The hourly rates are pretty affordable, especially with a group of people, and the different membership levels cater to an individual's wants and needs. Everything is provided for you, so no worries if you don't have your own clubs. The scoring system is pretty fun, and even a novice (such as myself) can score a few. I really enjoyed how laid back everything is, group tables with seats, food, drinks, TVs, music, and of course, the golf. I can't comment on specific dishes since I didn't order anything my first time, but things looked great and are reasonably priced. A great place to watch others golf too, especially while they're in a state of inebriation.. Yeah, okay, I can't really say much else. Get yourself here and enjoy yourself. read more

I haven't been back to TopGolf. I wanted to - and I was presented the chance to - in the "owner" comment that you see below. Although they offered a free meal, I never got one because it took so long for them to email me back, that the date and time I had set a week in advance came and went without an email from them. I finally got an email a few hours after the time I wanted to come, saying that they would comp my meal at checkout - I'd just need to track down a manager. Very poor customer service. Don't offer to make things better if you aren't going to try. read more

This isn't what I was expecting at all. A friend came back from Top Golf a while back and I asked what it was like. "It's like virtual golf!" So I imagined I'd be swinging a club in front a screen that would measure my swing and determine where my ball would go on a virtual course. Kinda like Wii Golf, but more awesome. If you go in with those expectations, you're gonna have a bad time. It's basically going to an overpriced driving range with overpriced beer, hanging out with a lot of people who can't play golf. And from the 3rd story, I can apparently hit a 7 iron 215 yards. read more

We came here on a Sunday morning (like the sinners we are) for half price play- SO worth it! It's only $20/hour before noon on Saturday & Sunday (it goes up to $40/hour after noon). Thankfully we didn't have to wait to get a bay- there were plenty! My boyfriend is an avid golfer and goes to the Top Golf in Houston somewhat regularly and has been pushing to take me! I'm really really glad we finally made it happen this last weekend, it was SO fun! We went with another couple, which is definitely the way to go- it's even cheaper with more people AND it would be hard to really talk to someone if one of you is always up to the plate (or whatever the heck that phrase is for golf). I ordered the "manmosa," which was yummy and I got to keep the cowboy boot glass it came in :) We also got the "mushi" which is essentially a burrito made with sticky white rice and sliced up and presented to look like sushi- very cute and pretty tasty! The actual golfing portion is pretty cool. You just get points for hitting areas within the targets or the back of the fence. I somehow had points on the board despite this being my 2 time to ever be at any sort of driving range! LADIES BEWARE: My hand did get a little tender so I'll be brining a golf glove thing next time. Hopefully they have cute ones! TL;DR version: go early on the weekends, bring friends, get a golf glove thing, & drink mimosas. read more

My 300th review and I happen to write about golf. Go figure. I'm mostly a football fan. So why golf? My bootcamp was having happy hour at TopGolf. The only thing I have played that is remotely to golf was mini-golf. You will not see me be a Michelle Wie. It was quite busy the time I went so the service, I wouldn't say was bad but I wish they could have more people. The food was good. I ordered the veggie burger with sweet potato fries. Now you have to go to the driving range which is three stories. It's strange to see a bunch of golf balls coming from the top but I thought to myself... The driving range - "Wow! Three Stories!" I wonder if this is heaven for a golfer. But you would have to wait until you can get a driving range. You have to leave your name and they will call you. There is screens where you can see where your golf ball has landed also you can watch a game. Also there are comfortable chairs for you to sit and have a good time. Service outside was good and attentive. Parking is small but they have free valet parking. Even if you are not a golf fan this would be a nice experience to go to and have fun for a special occassion. read more

Came for Memorial Day. Received a top bay right away. The food was delish. My only wish: endless mimosas and tots dish. It started to rain. People complained but I drank more champagne. Delighted to discover the toilet seats had a cover. For which I am a lover. Without a doubt swung my heart out. That's what golfs all about. Top Golf is on par, so it deserves the highest star. My return won't be far. read more

My family and I recently attended for a soft opening and had a great time! I am not sure what the best part of our adventure was: the food! the customer service! or the actual venue! Upon entry you are greeted by a host who assist in getting you set up with you golf area and answers any questions you might have. if you are bringing your own clubs (not needed) then they will carry them to your assigned area. I They have 3 decks to choose from, the top deck has a huge veranda with a bar, sitting area and fire pit. Food: I had the Jim Beam Brisket Chili and it was very good! It is smoked brisket with the sweet tast of the Jim Beam coupled with a piece of Jalapeno cornbread. We also had the Mushi, it sounds funny on th menu but it is delicious. Great service from Mathew and a really well done venue. Welcoem to Austin TopGolf! read more

I love to stop by and practice here, it's SO convenient. I can also say that the burgers and fries are rock solid tasty. Cold beers in a bucket are hard to say no to. I recently played a golf tournament and their staff went to great lengths to see that our needs were met. I also liked that they have some golf supplies for sale like gloves and balls. read more

The game is a blast, especially if you love golf. The service, however, is absolutely horrible. I'm sitting here now, waitress hasn't visited the table for the last thirty minutes. Food is mediocre at best. It's clear to me that this company does that have a customer service focused business. It's a shame, they'd really have something if they did. read more

Great atmosphere and bar. Love the brunch menu. Prepare for a wait if you try and come later in a weekend. We come early on Saturdays and it great AND less expensive. We live in South Austin, hope they put one there soon :) read more

Topgolf - New American Near Me - Austin, Texas

I am glad there is finally a relevant spot on the North side of town and the place is genuinely solid. However, there are a couple of blatant areas of opportunity! * the Wait Staff -- where were these guys hired from ? and where is there courtesy and manners ? A drink was spilled on a co-worker and no apology, no manager came to help the situation and they charged her for the whole drink. I know the drink is half full concept but this is definitely not a positive experience! This is an interactive place with people swinging clubs etc. So spilled drinks happen , maybe a little more often than most places .... but come on! Simple courtesy * the audience is starting to turn a little ghetto. You want to sink a ship real quick ? Then allow anyone and everyone to come to the club. I think you need to have a mandatory membership (only 10 dollars for the year ... something very minimally priced ... ladies free) Because you will attract an unsavory crowd ! A membership required and a valid drivers license with no felony arrests! Come on TopGolf .... you keeping hitting mulligans and you are doomed !!! read more

So this was my second time at top golf. First time i went to the one in las vegas. But my experience was far less better at this location in austin. Dont get me wrong. I love the concept. I love the place. Anything in domain is hopping. Cool atmosphere. My problem was the quality of food here. May be its just one time thing but my expectations were very high from this place. 6 of us went there and 4 of us ate chicken wings since other 2 are vegetarians. As soon as we get home all 4 of us who had wings had to use the restroom multiple times. Some sort of food poisoning. Either the dipping for the wings was bad or the wings themselves were not fresh. Stomach has been hurting since. I want to bring my kids and family here but cant afford for the kids to get sick. Hope this was one off experience. Want to try it again though!!! read more

Topgolf - Nice pleasant evening - New American Near Me - Austin, Texas

Weather: We didn't pick THE coldest day to go to Top Golf, but it was close. While there is a lot to do inside (eat, drink, eat, drink, and eat), the whole point of going to Top Golf is to ummmm, hit some ballz so we braved the cold in our coats, scarves, gloves, hats and oh yes, they have outdoor heaters. Golf: I've played some miniature golf in my lifetime, but I had no idea what I was doing since the closest I've come to golfing is driving a golf cart at Pebble Beach (name dropper!) and have never been to a driving range. However, after a few, ahem, dozen pointers from well-meaning coworkers ("get closer," "focus on the ball" and of course, "be the ball"), I managed to knock at least two balls into the rather large, color-coded holes (and no comments from the peanut gallery--you know who you are...). As I'm sure everyone else has explained, your name is associated with the ball, you get points, yada, yada, yada. Chillin'with the work peeps: Having a lounge area a few feet from where you whack the balls complete with comfy chairs to "rest" between swings was a bonus, and since this was a company Christmas party, we had a full buffet of pretty delicious food and a neverending supply of vino and beer. I should have ended the vino earlier but the tiny smart part of my brain took a leave of absence and forgot to tell me "hey, you're at a WORK party--be cool" and that's all I got to say about that. Conclusion: Fun place--I would go again and maybe hang out inside for a while. The bar area seems pretty cool too. read more

Upon walking in, my friend instantly claimed that this was a completely burgeois thing to be doing on a weeknight for a friend's birthday. The atmosphere is incredible. It's clean, not too loud, fun, and exciting at the same time! The plethora of TV monitors allow you to keep track of your fantasy football players (score!) and the constant flow of golf balls has everyone in your group going all the time. For only $40/hour, Top Golf is very mildly priced for the experience (and fun!) you get while there. Limited to 6 per lane, it comes out to not even $7 per person per hour, which is basically what you would pay for bowling, but Top Golf is even more fun! The food and drinks are reasonably priced, and when there is an NFL game on, the buckets of beer are discounted to $16 (down from $19 or $25) and wings are $0.75 a piece! As if swinging a golf ball as far as you can wasn't fun enough, add some beer and cheap eats in and we're good to go. If your younger friends (or disinterested lady friends) get bored with what's going on, there is a third floor lounge that has an Xbox Kinect and a foosball table, providing fun for everyone, no matter what age! I would definitely go back sometime. Take friends! read more

Wow! This concept is one of a kind! When you walk in you get greeted by a host to help you get a players card if you do not have one. There are 3 levels with rows and rows of booths where you have you own private area. It's different then a driving range. You have different games you can play where you have to make it into different baskets. Also you have a waiter/waitress to order drinks and food. I tried the sunrise burger that comes with a fried egg on top with sweet potato frys. No complaints! read more

The good: Austin has nothing else like this so you're pretty limited in long-range golf to top golf only. The food is quite enjoyable, I usually order the smokehouse burger with sweet potato fries. Service is usually fast. The Bad: if you can go solo or with one other person it could get pretty pricey, for the best value try to go with at least 4 to 6 people. Or on a weekday read more

Apparently my shoe fixation makes it difficult for me to venture east when at the Domain, because I'd never seen nor heard of TopGolf until a happy hour was set up here. When I glanced at the location I assumed this was the Range AT the Domain, cause how many boozy golf places can you have within half a mile of each other. Well this is not the Range, it's way awesomer (shut up, that's a word). Parking here sucks but YAY free valet! You're pretty much assaulted when you walk in the door by very friendly faux caddys getting you to sign up for a membership, cause you need one to play. I was here for the booze, and stilletos don't golf so good, so I powered on to meet the homies in their box. What is weird here is that with SO many staff members in the lobby it was surprising how impossible it was to get someone to bring us food and drinks. But after we nearly tackled a waiter to get some brisket cheese fries (dudes, you can't put that on a menu and then NOT let me order it, helllllooo), the service was pretty spot on. All the golfers appeared to have a ball and I enjoyed watching them try and not clock the people below us in the head with a poorly hit shot. Great place for an event, now I just need something to come celebrate! read more

We had a really rocky start to our night here but the management really made it right and because of their professionalism we will certainly be back. I also want to thank them for carrying the Impossible burger as we were able to eat a great meal as vegans. We can't wait to go back! read more

I just had my birthday celebration here and it was pretty freaking sweet. We went all out and rented two bays for 3 hours with food and a few buckets of beer. That shit wasn't cheap, but damn it was fun. The golf is a blast. There are several different game types to choose from where you can hit the various targets for points. I personally liked "Top Chip", because I was actually pretty good at it! If the game involved hitting the ball over 150 yards, I was basically screwed. The real highlight of the event for us was the personal assistant/server guy that helped us. His name was Jordan and he was awesome. He got anything we needed and answered all our questions with a big smile and he seemed actually happy to be there. It was fantastic. If you are planning a party here, I'd recommend requesting Jordan as your server. So in short... if you want to spend a bunch of money and have a good time for a party of any kind, Top Golf will do the trick. I will definitely be going back for a more casual get together at some point. It was super fun! read more

I may have to come back and edit this rating once I return on a day that there's not a 2 hour wait to play. My friends and I showed up on Saturday evening around 6:30. Parking was redonkulous and it was nearly standing room only....and this place is HUGE! The people playing looked like they were having fun, and although we were excited about driving balls at huge holes in the ground, we didn't have enough patience to wait for 2 hours to pay to do it. We made the most of the evening by getting a table in the bar area and knocking back some drinks and food. There was no craft beer on tap though; only in cans. Boo. The place is very nice though and I didn't see many children. That's always a plus in my book. read more

Top Golf has an amazing product. Playing golf in an air conditioned facility while watching ESPN and drinking and eating with your friends is amazing. The food is above average, the drinks are good and reasonably priced. I have been over 10 times and they are very consistent. The reason I give 4 stars is the service, the service has been consistently bad I do not know if its because of the servers being overwhelmed with too many tables or just the inexperience, but it seems every time we go we are looking for our server or asking someone to find them or going to the bar to get a drink. If top golf could fix one thing it would be making their servers actually serve you instead of being order takers who take your order then you don't see again until they are ready to drop your check. I would recommend this place for the atmosphere but definitely not the service. read more

We took our 13 year old daughter here with a few of her friends for a birthday gathering. On Saturday mornings before noon it is $20\bay which is very affordable considering you can put up to 6 people in a bay. They put us on he very bottom which ended up working out great. It was a windy day and being on the bottom it was a lot less windy and cold. They also have heaters which keeps the bays nice and warm. They also had pool tables and shuffleboard down below which was awesome because we could play pool and shuffleboard while we watched our daughter play golf with her friends. This gave them their alone time to goof around without parents hovering over them and gave us something to do at the same time. We also ordered some cheese fries, a flat bread, and some donuts with Bavarian cream and chocolate filling. I didn't try any of it , but my daughter and her friends devoured it so it must have at least been decent. It was a great day and experience and we'll be back for sure. read more

I have found my new favorite place in Austin, and I don't think it will be replaced with another new favorite place anytime soon. Great food, great service, great venue, great fun. Top Golf has it all. I can't believe how fun this place is, not to mention the affordability. If you visit Top Golf during the week around lunchtime, it only costs $20/hour. Bring 3 of your friends and the 4 of you can play for $5/hour each. Bring your clubs or leave them at home. The $5 membership fee covers the cost of club rentals. I cannot say enough good things about Top Golf. This is the easiest 5 star review I've written. read more

Top golf is great! We had our fraternity alumni event here and paid for a few hours of golf. No I may not be the best golfer in Austin, but that doesn't matter at all. They have great food, local craft beer and comfortable seating to chat while your friend looks like a fool trying to hit the ball. Also they allow dogs!! read more
