I love this place! Im visiting from Arkansas and we decided to check out the top golf. This is my first time playing it and I truly enjoy the experience there. The staffs are super friendly and nice! We played for an hour and we also ordered some appetizers (buffalo chicken flat bread and nacho). Both of them are AMAZING! I love it!! I would recommend this place to everyone! read more

Super fun time!! The beers and service were good. The brisket flatbread was really delicious!

Top Golf in Austin is grand ole time! More importantly the staff is over the top accommodating. Big Nick aka Nicholas, was nice enough to spend time answering my gf and my questions about living in Austin. I can't say enough good things about Top Golf Austin and Big Nick. Highly recommend coming here for a fun night! read more

Angelica (Angie) was amazing. We're out in a company retreat and we all had a good time with the amazing service she provided. It's almost like .... I don't even know what to say. She was courteous and generous and she even joked with our part which we loved. I will absolutely be returning to Top Golf because of her. What an amazing lady. read more

We went here for our 1st family outing (and possibly our last for a while) this year. We made a reservation and it took a bit longer to get us into our bay than usual. We noticed but didn't really say anything...usually more trouble to get upset about stuff like that. But surprisingly, the staff and manager both brought it up and apologized for it. The manager made it right without the customer having to complain. How refreshing. We really felt like the staff cared about our experience-thank you all :) read more

Topgolf - Family fun time! - New American Near Me - Austin, Texas

The only reason that I leave a star off is the pricing. It was expensive before it just got more expensive (as of summer 2017). If you go before noon, it's a great deal at $25 per hour and then it's $35 from noon-5:00. It's $45 per hour after 5:00, which is obviously the time most people would be able to go. It's rare to see empty booths here, but I've never had to wait, so I understand how the cost is justified. It makes sense to go with a group of 4 and split it. You can play a whole game in a hour with a group of 4 if you play fairly quickly. The pricing includes club use (there is a good selection of types in long and short), seating, AC/heat, and a manual screen for managing the games. The service is very friendly and efficient and they take the time to go over the games with you at the screen if it's your first time. The experience is a lot like a video game driving range. There's fun music playing and lots of lights and colors on the range. It's really fun even if you've never golfed before. The food and drinks match the prices of other places in the domain ($6 beers, $10 burgers, $8 glasses of wine), but the quality is awesome! We got two orders of queso fries because they were so good. It starts with excellent, thick fries covered in gooey cheese, melted shredded cheeses, and fresh jalapeños with a side of ranch. GET IT! I think they could really benefit from a rewards program for frequent visitors or some type of discount. I know they don't need to lower their prices because it's super popular, but I'm cheap! read more

This was my very first experience with Top Golf! It left me really wishing I had one in my hometown. Ok so, if you look at prices online you will see that Monday-Thursday if you go before 6 pm, it's only $20 an hour, as opposed to $40 after 6. We got there about 5-ish and wanted to play for about a half an hour. Because we had never been before, we all needed player cards which had us speaking with an associate downstairs. He informed us that bc we were there before 6, we would have the $20 an hour rate which would have us at $30 for an hour and a half. Ok, sounds good right!? Well, we get upstairs to get started and that's when that associate puts in the requested time and asks for a card to pay the additional fee bc our half hour was happening after 6 pm. Whoa, whoa, whoa, that's not what we were told! Well, she tried to explain the best she could be ended up referring us to the manager. As a disclaimer, the issue is not the $10, it's basically be told 2 completely opposite things by 2 employees of the same establishment in a matter of about 5 minutes. Thankfully, the manager came and got it all squared away. We were able to play with no issues afterward. He also promised to be sure the first associate was aware of the policy as well. The great thing about Top Golf, I think, is that this can be a great date night, group outing, or family fun. There is a full menu, including drinks, apps, and kids meal as well. You also don't have to pay per player, with there being able to have 6 people in each "stall" (if that's the right word). There is a $5 fee to get your membership card when you first start but hold on to that you never have to pay it again! Basically we had such a great time we went back before we left the area. If they ever bring one to southern Louisiana I can totally see my family and me being regulars! read more

I've been DYING to go here and I finally convinced my partner and some friends to go and it was every bit as awesome as I expected (minus my crappy skills). This place is MASSIVE and they were super busy on the Friday night that we went. We ended up waiting on hour for a bay, which was no big deal, because it gave us an excuse to drink, and the drinks were pretty good. After we waited, we were escorted to our bay and she explained how the system worked and then let us play to our hearts' content...well until our time ran out. There were 5 of us and we played for and hour and a half and had a blast. The only complaint I had about the place, was with the staff. I have heard that Top Golf hires the best talent, but overall, I was underwhelmed at the staff. No one was particularly friendly, and a couple people were downright unpleasant. The place is a zoo, so with everything going on, it could be a difficult place to work, but I just expected a little more. Overall though, I loved the place and will totally be back. read more

I went to this Top Golf solely because I'm moving in a week and needed to escape the monotony of patience. It was just supposed to be a one night fling with some establishment down the road, but like a romantic comedy, I soon realized that my life was but a mere empty husk before I played at this Top Golf. From Hailey's suspiciously bubbly greeting at the entry, to KyLeigh's overwhelmingly considerate service at my bay, I was absolutely astonished. I'm not only speechless from my visit, but I'm also a better person for having visited this oasis of relaxation. read more

Great spot for a SMALL birthday celebration for anyone who is being careful during the pandemic. Amazing work with social distancing guidelines. 6 feet was the minimum distance from other parties and most of the time it was more. ALL employees were diligent about keeping their masks on and over their nose the whole time. Automatic doors and online menus made for as much of a touch-free experience as possible. Good drinks. Yummy food. Great service. Thanks for a great first experience venturing out during the pandemic. read more

Yes it will be very busy, don't worry this Topgolf is properly staffed and on their game... Recently visited this location for an event and the group I was with was occupying three bays. This was my first time at a Topgolf driving range and I was blown away by the technology they have implemented. You literally walk up to hit and a ball is dispensed for you to smash down the range. The the ball has a microchip that shows if you hit a target, very cool. This is a great place for fist time golfers as well. This location had plenty of staff and even though our group was big we always had great service. Menu was really good for the items we tried. A hummus with great pita bread and fresh vegetables appetizer and a buffalo chicken flat bread pizza were both great. The buffalo chicken flat bread pizza had fresh carrots and celery as topping which was unexpected and tasted perfect. read more

I haven't been here since 2015, but recently came back for a double date with old friends. We went on a Wednesday but they were still busy! We were greeted right as soon as we walked in. Since it's been awhile they explained everything once again. The wait for a lane was short, and the cocktails at the bar (which were delicious) sped it up even more quickly. When we got to our lane the monitor was kind of difficult to work but the waiter helped very much! After the first hour we decided to play another and about half way through the monitor stopped counting points, and being with competitive people made that an issue. We waited for about 20ish minutes for the guy to try & fix it but the monitor ended up not even turning back on. They said they'd refund the time we didn't play and move us to a different lane but it was getting late so we just asked if they could refund the money from the time we lost. Long story short, the manager came by and told us BOTH HOURS are now free and was so nice about it. Our bill was literally cut more than half. Due to this experience I will DEFINITELY be coming back sooner than 3 years like before. Plus, the food was so good. read more

We thought the food was overpriced especially given the portion sizes. Most disappointing was the service and idea that as your time runs out, the system refuses to show final scores. read more

Good place. I went with friends and family on a trip to Austin i didn't golf but everyone else did and they seemed to have tons of fun, they also have pool and foosball but I would honestly give the rod a two star. The service was good and our server Madyson was really nice, but the food was blah. 4 stars for the experience and if you don't get food 5 star. read more

A group of 6 of us went here last night (first time for one of us). Because the wait was so long--over an hour--we decided to eat at the bar. Big mistake because the food is pretty gross, probably Applebee's level. The turkey wrap did not have fresh turkey, the queso was revolting slime, and the side salad came straight out of a bag. Our waiter was grumpy. The worst thing about this place, however, is its lack of organization. We were shuffled between various staff members several times over confusion about cards/not cards. For all the people they have working there, the place is completely chaotic. Was it fun "playing" golf and hanging out with our friends? Of course. But we wouldn't come here again unless somebody else really wanted to. read more

I admit, I was skeptical. Like really? I'm gonna like a glorified driving range? Nah, no way. I was just so very embarrassingly wrong. After my first visit, I went back a couple weeks later. I'd probably go right now if I wasn't plopped on the couch writing this review. Actually, I'll probably go for my birthday. Not even joking. If you like bowling type activities, you'd have a blast here. Sure, there are people being semi-serious around there, but this is a place to go with friends, have a drink, and maybe you work on your golf game while you're at it. Why not? Just try it. read more

Topgolf is the new trendy place to spend an afternoon of golfing, drinking, and food. I went with my family, and we had a total of 6 adults and 2 kids. The concierge told us the wait would be 55 minutes, and that was fine because the place was PACKED. We went upstairs to a cozy alcove with a foosball table and a video game console set up to play a dance game. My family doesn't drink alcohol, but we got some sodas and water from the bar to keep cool. The bar wasn't THAT busy, but it somehow took us 15 minutes to get 3 beverages (2 waters and a Coke). There isn't much else to do to pass the time while you're waiting for your bay because Top Golf is its own building, not connected to anything else. After an hour, my sister went to check our place in line, and the concierge told us that it would be another FOURTY minutes... because she "forgot she had some large parties to seat." Uhh, okay. You stand at the desk and serve people when they walk in. Not sure how you could forget your own customers, especially a big party, but we agree to wait longer (which ended up being 30 minutes). We finally get our bay and get to golfing. My parents and kids have a fun time, and we take turns hitting the balls. The technology is very cool for a driving range, and you can pick different objectives through the tv screen in your bay. You wave your club or foot over the sensor, and you are dispensed a golf ball with a chip inside. The chip follows your ball where you hit it on the range. You can bring your own clubs, but they provide a standard set in your bay, and they will bring you kids size clubs if you need them too. My mom was trying to order snacks but we never had a server. We tried to flag down some other employees, but they said they weren't our server. The whole place was sheer chaos. We only spent an hour golfing, and in the last 7 minutes, our server decides to visit our bay. No particular reason where he was at the rest of the time. Can't review the food because we never got to order any. Service is severely lacking here. Top Golf is fun, but the novelty wears off quickly. If you want the quiet and calmness that golf can offer you, you're better off going to a driving range. If you need a place to take the whole family and kill a few hours away from home, Top Golf is your place. read more

This was my first time coming to a Topgolf ever. We were here only an hour or so but had a pretty good time. It's nice that you have a waiter/waitress and the snacks were quite yummy. The stuffed donut holes were amazing! Prices seem a little steep but not super unreasonable. I am not great at golf nor do I typically enjoy it, but I will say this was an enjoyable experience. Would be a great place to meet for an adult birthday party or other event. I wouldn't mind checking out the Topgolf location near me. read more

Just went to top golf for the first time. I was impressed. I went early on a Tuesday morning so it was not crowded. The staff was first-rate - they showed my around, got me registered, and showed me how to use the golf bay. I have not golfed for a long time ... this concept is so much better than a driving range as I can really tell how I'm doing in terms of accuracy. I was alone so I found that I was tired after about 40 minutes. Next time I'll take a friend with me. Nice concept for improving ones golf game. read more

For the love of all that is both good and holy, let me say this: it's been awhile, and I mean a reasonably significant while, since I've been as excited about something (certainly a bidness) as I am about my first foray into TopGolf. And while the jaded among us might concern themselves with 'street cred' or various whatnot, I couldn't give a rip about dissenting takes on this one. Fun does something to a man. I caught a couple of rounds of surprise golf and cocktails today, and whoa, brother: if you have ever enjoyed A) watching Tin Cup re-runs, B) sipping cold ones or cocktails, C) doing A & B while enjoying technology put forth for frivolous means, you'll have a ball at TopGolf. We walked in cold on a warm Friday morning and were up and flailing away at little white balls in no time. Worth noting that there are various prime times to hit: before noon on Fridays was $20 an hour, for instance ($40 an hour thereafter) and most weekdays from what I can tell work at the $20 hourly rate all day. So there's that. Wait service in my experience was spot on and encouraging, and ramping up to start a game was easy. DisneyWorld for those of use who like casual sports, perhaps. But I know one thing. I'm amped to head back. (Note that if you're headed there, it's on the Burnet end of the Domain -) read more

Golf and beer...do I need to say more? This was my first time to a Topgolf facility and it won't be my last. The concept was really cool. There are different game modes that you can choose from and you need to try to hit the ball into the target. Points are assigned based on how close to the hole you hit the ball. I wanted to try the upper levels (I think they are easier), but all they had was the bottom level, which was just as fun. They have so many workers that you do not have to wait long if your ball gets jammed in the machine or if you want to order food or drinks. read more

TOP GOLF? TOP NOTCH. THE VENUE: Absolutely stunning! Shiny and new with all the automatic sliding glass doors, computer screens everywhere, and sharp-dressed staff ready to help. Everything had a very futuristic feel to it, think Hunger Games or Minority Report. It's a massive three-story building and my group was on the middle floor just loving the summer breeze and beautiful Austin sunset. THE GOLF: The computer system was impressive, intuitive, and I liked that there were several different games to choose from. It even allowed you to swipe several different credit cards, making it easy for everyone to chip in and pay for the time. THE FOOD: I didn't try much of the food but my friends seemed to be enjoying their burgers and wings just fine. I DID however order some pricey signature cocktails which were absolutely delicious. Note: drinking is highly recommended, it really helps to get that golf swing flowing. THE PARTY: They start pumping some club music at night and I loved that the targets on the course start lighting up strobelight-style. We were thinking that a dance floor would do well here... I have a suspicion that there's one hidden somewhere on the facility, probs reserved for VIP members only. There's also shuffleboard, pool, and other entertainment downstairs, I could stay here all day. read more

Turns out I'm kind of a fast learner and kind of a pro. No really, I'm like a prodigy. I somehow managed on my first time to hit like a badass and I know nothing about golf. But hey, when you have a good teacher and no one judging when you completely miss the ball from time to time it's kind of a good combination. Still hard to believe I was hitting balls 100+ yards, but hey miracles happen right? Prior to putting our names down to golf, we enjoyed some cocktails at the bar. I had a couple moscow mules. They tasted good but were pretty weak. We had good service when we were swinging away too. Also, please note I don't know any golf lingo or any names or uses of the clubs we used or how much anything costs. All I know is that we were brought drinks and and I knew nothing of how to man the computerized portion on the bay. But it was FUN. read more

We wanted to chill before dinner so we came to Top Golf to get some golf in. When we arrived it was very busy. They told us we had about an hour wait so we left our number and went to the bar. They have a large bar area with lounge type seating. The sofas are super comfy. It took about 10 mins before a server came to us and asked curiously if we'd been taken care of. We ordered beer queso and some alcohol while we waited for our text. About 30 mins later we got a text that our bay was ready. When we went to the counter they told us it wasn't ready yet. They were still bussing it. So we were sent back to wait some more. Our waiter had checked us out because our bay was ready. When he saw us sitting there he asked if everything was ok. We told him about the bay not being ready so he took off to the counter to figure out what was going on. By the rime he got back to us we got a text saying the booth was ready again. We went to our bay and started our game. It's $40 an hour. You pay at the bay. Slide all your top golf cards so all players are registered. Don't forget to switch screens between each turn so the right player is selected. If you need a little golf help just ask. Someone will help you out. It's all good fun at Top Golf. Our server was really helpful and friendly. Will come back to this location. Hope you drop by. read more

I have found one of my new fave hangout spots! My boyfriend & I were fortunate enough to be invited to their Soft Launch yesterday and we had such a great time. The staff was so friendly, inviting and welcoming. They took such good care of us the entire time. Calling out that it hasn't opened to the public, the facilities are pristine. TopGolf was designed intelligently, allowing for plenty of open bar seating, golf bays, games and meeting rooms. On to the driving range itself: TopGolf offers automatic ball tracking, a bowling alley-like scoring interface and clubs for use. Expect to wait some time for bay availability (they'll send you a text message once you're up for a bay), but once you have the bay, it's yours for as long as you want. You'll pay $40/hour per bay, which can be divided among 6 players. Membership is required for a one time fee of $5 unless you choose another (pricier) membership plan with additional perks. They have a great selection of whiskeys and their food selections is quite scrumptious. I highly recommend the Banh Mi Pizza, Chicken & Waffle Sliders and their Injectible Donuts -- all yums for your tummy. TopGolf, I have a feeling we will be best friends.. read more

I finally made it out to TopGolf and I now get what all the excitement is about for this place! I'm not an avid golfer at all, I barely can hit the ball, but this place made the game of golf so much fun for me! As I walked into the entrance I saw a few men walking out with clubs in hand...and realized I might be in over my head. "Are we supposed to bring our own clubs?" I breathed a sigh of relief when the kind gentleman at the desk informed me they had everything I needed to play the game. Phew! The bays are spacious and it's easy to play - you just swipe your card - then hold your club over a certain spot and the ball rolls right out on the green for you. I'm impressed with how good their bar food is. We ordered their sweet potato fries, queso, pulled pork tacos, quesadillas, spicy chicken sliders & flat bread pizzas + their cotton candy and chocolate chip cookies dessert (3 cones filled with cotton candy & 3 chocolate chip cookies on a lollipop stick). I loved their sweet potato fries and their pulled pork tacos. Cocktails were reasonably priced -$7 to $10. Their strawberry mojito was my favorite of the night + I noticed they have a good beer selection. Our waiters Aaron and Alicia were wonderful, friendly, prompt and hospitable. They took great care of our large group! read more

Top Golf is clearly a successful establishment, but I can't quite figure out who they're catering to. On this particular Saturday, there were over two dozen children, two fraternities, and a wedding. Yup, someone got married at Top Golf. Mazel Tov. Maybe the joke is on me, they're clearly very, very successful. As in, wait-two-hours-to get-a-bay successful. As in flag-down-the-waitstaff-three-different-times-and-still-not-get-service successful. Once we did get our drinks, they were pretty terrible. If you've got the balls to charge me $10 for a Moscow Mule, please don't make it 70% water. The wife reported that her was equally watery. I don't know how a drink comprised of four different alcohols can be described as "weak" by my wife, but somehow Top Golf manages. The food is typical bar fare, but shockingly well executed. The Mushi and Flatbreads were both really well done. During peak hours they charge $40/hour per bay. Which means you need to split a bay with several friends if you don't want it to be eye-bleeding expensive. Which it will be, because you're dumb and you'll order a bunch of beer like we did. What is it about taking an adult sport and moving it indoors that suddenly makes it okay for children? Shooting range? No children Laser tag? Lots of children Outdoor rock climbing? No children Main event? Infested with kids Any respectable golf course in the world barres little ones. Yet the bay next to us was overrun with wildebeast children, and when they weren't running rampant, their zookeeper was shooting us dirty looks for our creative vocabulary. Whoops? I suspect a return visit, say, during a weekday afternoon would alleviate many of my points of contention with Top Golf. The golf portion is genuinely fun, but I think I'll revel in the dirtbag atmosphere of Butler Pitch & Putt. read more
