Went to Topgolf Alpharetta this evening with a few friends for dinner and to some balls afterwards. You can even bring your win clubs if you wish or want to practice with that new club you bought but have yet to go to the driving range. The place was pretty busy but we still found open tables in the bar area. We ordered some drinks and looked over the menu. For drinks we got the red sangria, a Lagunitas IPA draft, corona and an angry orchard draft. Shortly thereafter we received the drinks and ordered food. The group ordered the fried chicken sandwich, pepperoni flatbread, pork trio and chicken trio with a side of fries. Our server Katie D. was very attentive to our needs and we had no issues with our service or the food. Everything came out quickly and the food was good. Everyone finished their plates and we ordered another round of drinks. We then walked to the front concierge to get our golf bay. The attendant quickly showed us to our bay and the four of us got swiped in on the machine and were ready to start swinging before I knew it. There was a lightning storm in the distance so was quite fun hitting the balls and seeing lightning strike! (Far away lol) We enjoyed playing a few of the preset games in the machine and hit some good balls. Near the end of our hour, the lights on the course started flashing with the music which gave it a different twist. A fun time for all, even if you are not a golfer. I do recommend coming here and trying the food first so eating doesn't interfere with your golf swings as it is timed. Enjoy! And take a look at the many pics :-) read more

What a wonderful place! We took the kids to Top Golf for lunch and their first exposure to the game of golf. I enjoy playing golf and I have been playing since college. I have always wanted to take my kids golfing, but there is a steep learning curve with golf and we haven't taken the time. With Top Golf, you can eat, have fun, and learn to hit golf balls better. I wish I had one of these in my hometown! For lunch, I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries. The service was fast and friendly. A little while later, the food arrived. My chicken sandwich was delicious as were my fries. I loved this place and I want to go back. Besides, I really need to work on my golf game. read more

Don't love the format of scoring and the general game play. I'd rather just hit a driving range personally. The drinks were fine, food was standard TGI Friday's type fare, and the service was very friendly. For a fun family afternoon or friend's night out I could see going there once in awhile. read more

Had a blast! Went for a team building event last night. What a great time and great service! The host and servers made it simple and easy to Enjoy our event. They were professional and attentive. Had a great time with my son and my nephew. Really enjoy Topgolf, just beware and read the fine print if you reserve online. The $37 you pay is ONLY to reserve your spot in line. It DOES NOT get applied to your playing time. I did not realize this and basically threw my money away on a day there was no need to reserve a bay. read more

What a fun way to celebrate a birthday. Topgolf offers games for all skill levels, we had a 10 year old who's never swung a club through folks who play golf regularly, everyone had fun. The food is really good, the drink selection was vast, and our service team was on point. Every bay was full, if you want to get out and enjoy being amongst the people again this place is for you. read more

Visited Friday morning, 7/14, with the $15, unlimited balls, 10am-noon. Our server, Alejandra, gave us 30 extra minutes, on her, when Bay 329 malfunctioned with 18 minutes left of playing time. The Buford GA location sucks big time I have had several negative run ins with them & still gave them chance after chance. This last chance was my last I came there with my 3yr old son the hostess told us to sit in the bar area upstairs, we did & as employees looked at us & walked pass us we ended up sitting there for more than 10mins while being ignored. I decided to have lunch elsewhere & on my way out I confirmed with the hostess her instructions. They were correct! There seems to always be horrible customer service when you're not playing golf which is unfortunate because I did enjoy the food! Considering posting a review to my 30K TikTok following! Thanks for replying Hugh D I was contacted by Kory Chatfield & he offered me 1 game on him. He told me just email him when I wanted to come in! I emailed him asking if they had any availability & if my son & I can come in, he never replied, that was now 2 weeks ago. Thanks anyway! read more

Note: This review is written from a golfer's perspective. TopGolf Alpharetta opened May 2014. It's more than just a driving range. In the Atlanta area, it's comparable to the likes of Dave & Buster's, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, and The Painted Pin (upscale bowling) because there are food, drinks, and additional entertainment outside of the golf game. It's like a fancy driving range with a restaurant, bar, TVs, and other games like cornhole, foosball, and giant Jenga. Since its opening, this place has been a hot spot. I thought it would be a glorified, overpriced driving range -- the new trendy place in town to hang out and socialize. To a certain extent that is true, but as an avid golfer myself, I have to say this place was really well thought out. The games built into TopGolf's system are a lot of fun for both golfers and non-golfers alike. TopGolf Alpharetta is a multi-level "driving range." I put driving range in quotes because this is certainly not a traditional driving range. You wouldn't actually come here to work on your game. You'd come here to play the fun target-based games. The T, O, and P in TopGolf actually stand for "Target Oriented Practice." There are three levels worth of hitting bays. The place is big and looks impressive. Inside, the restaurant and bar are quite nice. It looks like a sleek, modern sports bar. Lots of TVs. There are also displays at every bay so you can watch sports. The food and drink menus are fairly extensive for a place like this. There are plenty of adult beverages and cocktails in imbibe in. The food is mostly American chain fare: nachos, wings, burgers, sliders, ribs, chicken tenders, tater tots, pizza, etc. They even serve brunch. All food and drink is served directly to your bay by a TopGolf server, just like a restaurant. To play, you first must purchase a lifetime membership to TopGolf, which costs $5 plus tax. After that, the rates to rent a hitting bay are as follows (tax not included): Open to noon: $25/hour Noon to 5pm: $35/hour 5pm to close: $45/hour Yes, the price increases 44% from morning to night. The views are better at night, so if you don't care about that (which I don't), playing during the daytime is perfectly fine and just as fun. Seating at each bay varies. There's couch-like seating, smaller side tables and stools, and bar-height table seating. There are three displays: one tuned to a TV channel, another which is connected to the game/scoring system for the bay, and a touch screen, which is where you swipe your membership card to play, swipe your credit/debit card to pay, and choose your games and input/edit player info and scoring. Two sets of seven clubs are provided at each bay, one for men and one for ladies. Each set consists of: driver, 3-wood, 3-hybrid, 5-, 7-, and 9-iron, and sand wedge. There are also compartments where you can place your own bag/set of golf clubs if you choose to bring your own. TopGolf's provided clubs are rental quality. It's analogous to community bowling balls and rental bowling shoes at a bowling alley. You hit off mats. The mats have preset rubber tees for both right-handers and left-handers. These tees are the appropriate height for the TopGolf-provided clubs, but they may be a bit short for modern drivers if you bring any from home. Unless you're really competitive (TopGolf does have official tournaments with big prizes), you're perfectly fine using TopGolf's clubs. If you own a golf glove, bring one. Golf shoes aren't really needed. A pair of sneakers will do. All of the bays are covered, so a hat and/or sunglasses aren't needed most, if not all, of the time. TopGolf uses some name brand golf balls such as Callaway. Each golf ball has a microchip inside. When you hit the ball, the system keeps track of where it goes. That's how the scoring is done. At TopGolf Alpharetta, the range goes as far as 215 yards. There are multiple targets at 25 and 50 yards and one each at 90, 125, 150, and 185 yards. Each target is like a bullseye -- the closer your ball lands in the center, the more points you score. If you hit the back of the range, you get points too. Generally, you get more points the further you hit the ball and the more accurate it is. Even the back of the range has different "buckets" to test your long distance accuracy. If you've ever played any of the old Tiger Woods PGA Tour video games, TopGolf's games reminds me a lot of the mini games in those video games. There are games where you can aim for certain targets, games for most distance, games for chipping, and team-based games such as scramble. The payment system is like Dave & Buster's. You have to add money in certain set increments (e.g. $25) so there's almost always a balance on someone's card. Their scheme to get you to come back. I do like how you can customize how money is split among players if you don't want to do an even split. For helpful tips, check out my tips for this place on the Yelp mobile app. read more

we had a retirement party here. Bri and Daesha were our waitresses and event managers and did a great job! 100% recommend!

Today we had a group of 3 kids under the age of 10, plus 4 adults. We reserved 2 bays next to each other for 2 hours. TOTAL COST before tipping the waiter ... $740!!! Savangnon Blanc Wine - retails $12.99/bottle was charged out at $18++ per glass. Woodford Reserve Bourbon - retail $44/750ml bottle charged out at $22/ounce (shot) equivalent to near 13 times markup TItos Vodka - $19/750ml bottle was charged at $11/ounce = nearly 15 times markup. On top of all that, some alcohol pricing (e.g. Waterford Reserve Bourbon) is not even shown on any menu!!! So when you get the bill - SURPRISE! When we brought our surprise/shock at the bill to the Manager's attention - the answer was - "Sorry, I know it's expensive, but the pricing is the pricing even if we don't post it anywhere. Mistake was ours for not being inquisitive enough ... screw me once, shame on you ... screw me twice? Shame on ME! NO CHANCE! NEVER AGAIN! Whats not to love about Top Golf?! The staff is great from the ballet to the person clearing off the tables. Only reason for not getting the complete 5 is the waitress did not offer any suggestions for what I wanted to order after expressing I would eat just about anything but no biggie. It's still a great place and I will be back. They also have this lunch special during the week, 30 mins free of golf while you eat from their lunch menu!!! read more

Topgolf - Chicken & Waffles - Sports Bars Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

If you've been to one of the new, upscale bowling alleys, then you have basically been to TopGolf. Except of course, we're talking golfing, not bowling, and with fantastic food & drink (whereas some of the new bowling alleys feel like lipstick on a pig to me, but I digress...). From the top: parking can be a mess. If the lot looks full, I'd highly recommend using the valet just so that you don't start your outing in a bad mood. However if you self-park, they usually have golf carts to bring you to the front. That's extra nice if you've brought your own clubs. I'd carpool if you can. Upon entry, there's a podium with hosts there for no other reason than for people who don't know what the heck to do, they'll help you out. If you don't have a TopGolf card, they will direct you to the line to grab a card for a $5 "lifetime membership fee". If you forget your card you can get it re-printed for $1. Here's a tip: if you don't care about your points being "yours" or tracking your progress over time, you can just use 1 card at the bay and have multiple people "play" as you. They don't like it when you do that, but why spend $5 if you'll never return or you're not a serious golfer? At peak hours, there can be a long wait, so call ahead to get an idea of times. Or, just plan to hang out at the bar while you wait. If you're not a serious golfer and you're there for fun, try to get a bay on the (preferably) 3rd or 2nd floor. You'll get a great view of the range. They say a bay can fit 6 people but I would stick with 4 golfing adults per bay for the least annoyance and optimum comfort. If you have enough people for 2 bays, they can rearrange the seating to make it one big group seating area. You can bring your own clubs or not; they have both men & women's clubs at each bay. If you've got a lefty in the group, just let them know when they take you to your bay and they'll add a tee to the other side. Stick with the TopGolf game if most people in your group are beginners. The objective is to get the ball in any one of the targets. The further the target, the more points you get. The closer you are to a target, the more points you get. And just like bowling, you get bonus points for hitting a target multiple times in a row. Food & drink are amazing here. $4 mimosas and Angry Orchards for Sunday Funday! On the food side, I love love love the queso/corn dip (this is a MUST ORDER people). I also think the wings are pretty phenomenal. Today, I had brunch, the chorizo & egg sliders. Also quite good. I'm not sure you can go wrong on food here. My only complaint, is that I wish they had nutritional information posted online or on the menu itself. Service can be hit or miss. Sometimes we get great service. Other days, and especially if you're on a end bay, you'll wonder if you ever had a server at all. I think what they really need are buttons at each bay to let you know you need service. That would be way more effective and there's no need to have a dedicated server here. My friends brought me here for my birthday earlier this year. While I can't speak to the organization of that on TopGolf's end, I had a really, really great birthday! I just love the energy of this place, and it's the perfect balance between fun and great food. I have been to other TopGolf locations in Houston and Dallas, and I loved it so much that I seriously considered inquiring about a franchise for the Atlanta area. Firstly, I found out they don't franchise :( but secondly, I was SUPER excited to find out they were opening THREE locations in the Atlanta area! Horray! I really can't wait for the westside location to open. TopGolf is an excellent group destination, and is particularly well-suited for corporate gatherings. When I'm in Houston for business, we frequently sub-in a TopGolf outing in lieu of a formal dinner. But, I've also been with my family and now that it's in Atlanta, with friends. It's always a great time. read more

Super fun! A must go and return again and again! This place is more than cool and the staff was great also, they help us with all the questions we had and tried to show us how to swing also. Everyone must try this place at least once. The food is good also. Pricing is surprisingly not bad also. They have 3 prices: early morning $25 and hour, midday $35 and after 5p til closing $45 an hour. The first time u come u have to purchase the $5 membership, but that's it. They have the clubs at the bay u gonna play at or u can use ur own clubs. There is a large bar on the main level. They have a X box you can play for free, free basketball type game in the lobby area. I went on a Monday night and it had a nice crowd a I can imagine this place gets packed on the weekends and holidays. I don't think they allow reservations. It is 3 levels of bays. This is family fun or date night! But u must try it! read more

Note: This review is from someone that really dislikes golf. I feel like the land for golfing can be better used for other things such as but not limited to farming, housing, clown colleges, etc. Basically anything better than hitting a ball with a stick into a hole. I digress. I like Top Golf. I like the idea anyway. It's just way overpriced. My friend paid $50 to reserve two bays. That price was not a deposit. They said we saved time by not having to wait two hours instead. Fri night was pretty busy. I doubt the wait was two hours though. I also showed up 30 min late. We spent two hours here between four people. So I ended up paying $30 for 1.5 hours time. But then that's 1.5 hours / 4 people. I really just played for about 20 min. Yea... I'm too poor to hang out here. The dumb part is I bought a membership card for $5. I will lose this card. Why is this card necessary at all? I don't need a membership card for bowling. The parking sucked. There is a huge lot to the side but that was for valet parking. Why do you even have valet parking? The floor was sticky and the couches were kind of gross. Server was great. He was probably annoyed that we complained about the price. He's obviously seen it many times before. I got a bloody Mary for $9. It tasted like ZingZang with celery, salt olives and a dash of Tabasco sauce. 4/5 stars. I didn't really explore the other areas since I wanted to hang out with friends. I saw some pool and shuffle board. Would I come here again? Nope. Too overpriced. Go to the Atlanta Golf Center driving range on beaver ruin. It's much closer to my house and its $8 for a bucket. read more

I'm torn... Is Top Golf fun? Heck Yes - even for novices like me! Is the food good? No - actually it was pretty gross. How was the service? Ehh - it was ok. So, my office had an event for about 25 people at Top Golf today. I've only tried golfing once. I was pretty terrible, but I thought it was about time to give it a try again! I was pumped to try out this place after looking at the website and figuring out it's like one of those fancy bowling alleys, but at a golfing range. I arrived at 11:45 am on a Thursday to find Top Golf was packed! What do all these customers do for a living? I want that job! Ok, back to the review. I noticed people were standing in different lines, a concierge and front desk line. It looked really confusing. Luckily, I was with a group and we went straight to our bay. I was one of the first ones there, along with about 5 other people. The bay attendant quickly explained how it worked, then took a couple drink orders and left. As other people were arriving, no one was there to explain how anything worked. We're all smart adults, so we figured it out, but when we were having trouble with one of the ball dispensing machines, we couldn't find our waitress to help. Several minutes later, she reappeared with the drinks, and when we told her about the machine, she replied with some condescending remark. Then she tried to get a ball, and realized it wasn't just us. She called someone to get the jammed ball out, and we were up and running. Once we were playing - it was super fun! The food arrived buffet style, and I was excited to dig in! We had an array of bar food: tater tots, chicken & charbroiled angus sliders, and buffalo wings. After taking my first bite, I knew this was pretty low quality food. The tater tots were extremely soggy. The chicken strips (for the sliders) were soggy as well, and the charbroiled angus beef looked fake (aka - perfectly shaped with fake "grill" lines). Although I didn't eat the beef, one of my coworkers said "it tastes like that fake smoke flavor." The buffalo wings were the best out of the options, but they were slightly soggy as well. Also, I know it's supposed to be finger foods, but there was no silverware and it was messy. Overall, the food for a group was terrible. We paid a lot of money for this event, and it tasted like the food was prepared hours before and sat wrapped up to stay warm. I expected better quality, as well. As for the service, it would've been better if there were two attendants there in the beginning to get our entire group set up and playing. Our waitress kept our group happy and drinks coming, so that was a plus! Top Golf is really cool, and our group had a great time, but after my experience, I'm not sure I would eat there again. I hope they improve the food for groups - this is a great place for team bonding, birthdays, etc. read more

Poor food service. You are waiting long to get your food. Staff member was apologetic.

Well I'll start off by saying that I'm far from an avid golfer or fan in general. It was my husband's idea to check out Topgolf due to receiving a $10 off coupon in his email. Not going to lie. It was a little intimidating golfing at first, but after an hour, I realized that it was so much more fun than I imagined. Even if golfing isn't your thing, it is so worth checking out. The atmosphere is all around amazing. Just think of it as an advanced venue of putt putt. Like D&B, Topgolf serves food and alcohol. Can't comment since I didn't order any of it. read more

Horrible service!! To start, my daughter ordered food and a drink. After not receiving it in 45 minutes, she asked the waitress and was told that she's hard of hearing and didn't place her order. Then, to pay we give a $40 gift card and credit card for the balance. The waitress comes back and says we can only use 90% of our gift card. We asked to speak with her manager and Danny comes over and rudely says "maybe we don't know how gift cards work ". Since it was a 3rd party gift card, we should have gone online to do something. I asked why we weren't told that in advance and she says they should have. So she admits they should have told us but still wasn't willing to compensate for $10 for customers that spent over $200. What hasn't already been said about Topgolf! It's a brand new twist on an old sport and provides a fun and interactive atmosphere for the entire family! Topgolf is a really simple concept, executed phenomenally. In essence, you are assigned a lane and input your name and the list of players with you. You take turns standing, trying to hit the golfball into one of the open goals across the field. The golfballs are tied to the specific player, so if you successfully shoot it into the goal, you're player profile is attributed with those points. It definitely looks a lot easier than it is! However, Topgolf is a ton of fun and the food and atmosphere is wonderful. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. read more

I came here once for a corporate event and once with a group of friends. The corporate event was a broker event held with some of our top sellers in the market. The TopGolf team did a great job organizing the game, teaching our old-fashioned brokers how to play the game, and set up a good number of bays for us to play in. They brought out the requested left handed clubs and putters for us. On top of the healthy fajita buffet line, they served an open bar with some finesse. The bartender was pretty heavy handed on the alcohol, so what should have been a sweet shot tasted like straight up liquor (which for no people, is actually better than too much sugary sweetness and not enough alcohol). Open bar is open for an hour at a time, and I believe we had it open from 12-4, while extending it an additional hour without inconvenience. While playing golf, the TopGolf employees were super helpful in teaching and setting everything up. At one point I lost my sunglasses and word got around for one of the downstairs workers to pick them up from the green (oops!). At the end of the afternoon, we all received life time member cards for free (original cost $5) to save our scores with and to bring in next time for a true membership. It was definitely a blast, although there's only so much fun to be had with your coworkers and clients... I came here with my friends and I think things got a little out of hand with the Golfbag fish bowls. We ordered both the Sulley Slam and the Long Island Iced Tea. The Long Island was too strong and not a super sweet version of the Long island. The Sulley slam was sweet and fruity, but just as potent as the Long Island. We ordered some snacks as well, such as the wings (SO worth it). The cost was new to me, as the company paid for it the first time around. Depending on the time of day, whether or not it is the weekend, the cost is either $25, $35, or $45 an hour. The later in the afternoon/evening, the more expensive it will be. Since we got to Alpharetta around 5:00, we ended up paying the $45/hour fee, but it wasn't so bad when the five of us split the cost for two hours. There was only a slight wait on the busy Saturday afternoon, which was fine. We were able to order our first Golfbag Fish Bowl at the main lobby floor bar. Our assigned bay was upstairs, and we walked past an xBox Kinect (available for free use) and another bar. The games itself are not too much of a choice for me. I stick to the traditional TopGolf, where you aim for any target. As long as you can get within the target, you gain points. There are other games as well, but those seemed to be for the slightly more skilled. Definitely a place for a good time, and a welcome alternative to the usual night time festivities in the ATL! read more

My family and I had an awesome time here today. I made a reservation online because I figured it would be easier and I think it was. The check-in process was very easy. Once in we started our game and then order food. Our server was the sweetest young girl ever. Not going to lie I was very worried about the food but it was great. My husband and I order the fried chicken sandwich with tater tot and they gave us fries but it was fine b/c we were hungry. All of the food had great flavor and nothing tasted like it was frozen. The only thing my sister didn't like the pizza. Overall we had a great time and can't wait to go back. read more

This place is incredibly expensive for what you get. The balls and clubs need to be replaced. The process of requiring every person in a group of 12 to sign up for a membership wasted a ton of time and was very frustrating. The chick/waffles were really dry but hey 3 out of 4 great dishes is a good average! The waiter was very attentive in clearing plates and getting drinks and food. We were here on a Sunday afternoon and got right in-no wait. This is a really nice location of top golf. I can't wait till one close to me opens! Large parking lot with plenty of spaces. read more

Terrible service from multiple employees and multiple incidents. First came the check-in, which took forever. They took my driver's license and said to go on through to the bay to hear the safety instructions. My team was halfway through a game before I got my card so I couldn't play the first game. When a business charges you based on time rather than per game, extreme delays are inexcusable. And if they're working from your driver's license, how can they get your name wrong TWO times? The first time they changed my first name from Craig to Craigetta?!?! Sorry, but I'm obviously male. The second attempt they got my last name wrong. The third printing was finally correct. Then there was the food. It could have been good, had they gotten the order correct. Or made an effort to correct their mistake. I'd ordered the Sunrise burger. They cook it to-order and asked how I wanted it and the egg cooked. I chose medium-well for the burger and over-easy for the egg and tater tots as a side. Since you're required to have a membership card at this establishment, you'd think they'd be able to keep track of who ordered what. When the food came out, confusion reigned as they sorted it all out based on what had been ordered. "No, that must be hers since I didn't order medium-rare but she did.", "No, that must be his since the Sunrise comes with bacon and an egg, which this clearly lacks.", and so on. In the end one burger remained, which was clearly wrong: the little "cooked-to" tab was rarer than I'd ordered, the egg was over-hard not over-easy, and the side was fries when it should have been tots. I re-re-re-explained my order to the server and they left. My mistake was in thinking they'd gone to correct the order. It turns out they'd simply left the order, THREE tables away, and gone with no intention to correct the order. When I followed up on my missing order they pointed to the other table and said that my burger was over there and I could get tots instead of fries if I really wanted. They insisted that, despite the "flag" indicating it was not the right level of done-ness, that it was actually my burger. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went and retrieved it from the other table (they made no effort to bring it to me). As you can imagine, it was going cold by this point. And to add insult to injury, we were all finished eating by the time the tots belatedly came out. The game itself was also a disaster. I was able to join in on the second game. After their system gave a 15-minute warning, it erased everyone's scores without letting us complete those last 15 minutes. The next game, the computer froze and an employee had to reset the system, and once again all scores were lost. The last game managed to complete without issues. The establishment made no effort to adjust our times to compensate for the system failures. Perhaps they apologized to someone else in our party for any of the troubles we experienced, but I never heard any admission of any sort. UPDATE: 05/17/2017 It's interesting how a response was IMMEDIATELY posted to my review, especially since I wrote it early in the morning. Thus I suspected it was just an automated bot. But I emailed as requested just in case. Now, its a week later and they've NOT done any followup whatsoever. So I'm even more convinced it's a deceptive technique they've automated to make them look responsive and caring, so don't be fooled. read more
