So honestly I actually didn't mean to go here but I stopped in from mimosas anyway. We all walking around trying to get from A to B and we had as much as time to kill. Went here stopped in and it was closely to opening but it was still pretty okay. The bartender was really cool, got a couple mimosas and we can get them to go because of the area, and when about our day. There were reasons to be priced at the end of the day so that was good. The facility itself has indoor and outdoor seating and a grassy area so it's not just looking at cement LOL. The food that I saw when I was walking around the restaurant looked pretty good but I was only there for drinks though but I might actually double back. read more

I'm not sure what happened to this place. Used to be a spot to catch all the games on Sunday. Apparently, they don't have the NFL ticket. People were asking about turning on different games and they didn't have it. Also, it takes forever to get food. We waited over 30 minutes for wings and fries. The place wasn't even busy. Central City Tavern is a cute little spot in Downtown Alpharetta that can get quite busy, especially on the weekends. It offers a wide variety of food and drink options for those that are interested in spirits. The interior emulates a "pub style" restaurant with bar seating, tabletops, and booths for both small and large parties. Additionally, they offer an exterior seating area that is an extension of the bar itself and allows the outdoor visitors to feel enticed in the Downtown Lifestyle. There is street parking that is first come first served, and a bit difficult to obtain especially during highly populated times of day. Also, a short distance away is the Downtown Alpharetta parking garage that is just steps away from the Town Hall. I've never been disappointed with the taste/flavor of my food, and have always been provided decent service. read more

We came for lunch with our dog on a Thursday & were the only people on the patio. It was so quiet & peaceful. I got the wings with Carolina bbq sauce. They were delicious & super messy! I feel like they should have brought out wet wipes for all the messy sauce! My husband got tacos and we got a plain chicken breast for the dog. The tater tots were perfectly cooked, just the right amount of crispness. The waitress was nice and attentive. It's a good casual lunch spot with basic bar food & I'm sure we will be back! read more

I came here for drinks and got dessert also and overall had a great time. Shout out to our server Andrew who was so attentive and polite. Came here after work and found the inside booths intimate and warm. Loved the beer menu and really enjoyed my apple pie ale. The roasted Brussels sprouts were flavorful with big chunks of bacon. I was also able to get some fried Oreos to go and that was the best decision I made. Will come back for those! read more

Yes!!!! This place rock! Loving the lawn area and the 360 bar! This is definitely a vibe. Lots of TV's and friendly faces, they also have a menu that is not for the weak! If I could give this place less than one star, I would. First, they screwed up my husband's order. It was for a chicken wrap, they brought over tacos. Then it took almost 20 minutes for him to get the right dish, however, his french fries were not edible due to the amount of salt they dumped on them. I ordered the soup of the day, corn chowder and a BLT. The soup was not only cold but had a strange taste. I sent it back and said I would try the tomato bisque. That also was cold and tasted like a jar of tomato sauce with cream in it. After all of that we were offered a lousy free dessert. Tip: If I'm telling you that your food sucks, do you really think a free store bought dessert is going to make everything better? We should have been monetarily compensated. $35 for nothing. Not only won't we be back but I'll be sure to tell my friends not to come here either. read more

I visited Central City Tavern on a Saturday evening with my family. It's tucked away beneath Jekyll Brewing in Alpharetta City Center but parking is fairly easy in the parking garage or on the street. I appreciated that it was super quick to be seated and the space was much bigger on the inside than expected! I was glad that there were tons of TVs around too. Their selection of beer is pretty good and I liked that they had their own house lager as well. Our food came out relatively quickly. I ordered the Baja fish tacos with elote style corn (I will ALWAYS choose that option when given!). My family also ordered wings, the mean Cuban, and the Fried Green Tomato sandwich. Everything was kind of hit or miss. My tacos were honestly pretty bland and I could barely taste the fish which was a shame since the presentation was so pretty! The corn was pretty good, but again, I really didn't get a lot of flavor or spice. The Fried Green Tomato sandwich was probably the best thing we had and it was yummy!! The wings were alright; cooked well but didn't care for the Carolina-style BBQ sauce. The Mean Cuban was also delicious! Overall, it's a nice spot in Alpharetta and I'm glad it's super spacious and quick seating which is hard to find in town! I'd come back but probably order some different things. read more

We came here on a Friday and sat on the patio area. The weather was perfect and the food was better than expected! There's free parking in the parking garage and it's very easy to find. I ordered the Fish tacos which came with one side. The fish tacos tasted fresh and was a perfect sized portion. The mac n cheese was very disappointing as it was dry and seemed to be missing the cheese part. Our server was very nice and offered us a different side. The sweet potato waffle fries were delicious! I'd highly recommend! We also ordered the street corn on the cob. The flavor was perfect and not spicy. We really enjoyed coming here and look forward to coming back soon! read more

To begin: The service: the waitress was completely rude and operated on her shift with an attitude. She never checked on us or even stopped by. We waited an hour for our food to come out. The food: When our food finally arrived, it was cold and wrong. I expressed my concerns about my allergies which were ignored. After the food arrived correctly, we couldn't get the waitress to stop for a second to receive condiments. A medical emergency occurred during our visit. While I understand that takes priority, it should not take the manager walking away for the kitchen to operate accordingly. read more

The food was so salty it was inedible. My daughters ordered off the kids menu and they barely ate. How can you mess up French fries? My mom ordered a bowl and ate half. My wife couldn't get through all the buffalo chicken tacos. This is all probably why the place was nearly empty during NFL games going on. This place is a failure starting with ownership and trickling down to manager and head chef. If any of these people in the chain knew what they were doing they'd be able to offer a better product but that's obviously not the case. I feel bad for the servers. Service was great. We had a party of 8 and our waiter made sure we had everything we wanted. The restaurant has a nice sports bar vibe without that funky smell most sports bars have. The food, was good for the most part. The fried green tomato sandwich was missing something, it was surprisingly bland; by itself chicken was good but with the texas toast being so thick it needs some type of sauce on the bread other than bbq sauce. The Mediterranean salad did not have kalamata olives so the flavor was missing. The pulled pork sandwich was good. We were charged for ranch even though we ordered the tenders, so note, it appears you don't get a dipping sauce with the tenders. read more

We had three gluten allergies at the table, and were told they could accommodate. In an unexpected twist, the menus are out of date. Several items that are supposed to be gluten free are not. Fortunately the kitchen staff is very knowledgeable and were able to catch the issues and address them. Unfortunately one of the drinks we ordered had cookie flour on the rim. Again, there was no mention of this rim on the menu. By the time we found out we had already been exposed and within half an hour were very sick. I want to say that the server we had was wonderful. He was attentive, checked in regularly, and did his absolute best, but the overall experience was awful and two of us are VERY ill now. Management needs to get it together and update the menus, maybe let their kitchen staff write them. And for the love of god, don't put gluten in drinks! read more

My company hosted a large group dinner here the other night and it was a blast! They reserved the patio for us on Wednesday night which is trivia night and I highly recommend attending trivia here! The servers were awesome!! So friendly and attentive and clearly having a good time working here which I love to see. The food was delicious! I ordered tachos and a Philly cheesesteak. The cheesesteak had great flavor and the roll was so good but the steak itself was really fatty in large chunks so it was a bit tough to eat. read more
