First time at Loyal Tavern! Very lucky they were open on New Years Eve. We had a very sweet server! First impressions- this place is loud! There are soo many screens so it would be an amazing place to watch the game. One of the places you have to shout to talk, but hey it's a sports bar and that's the feel! I'm sure it was a bit crazy as well being New Years Eve. The nachos were great! We got the full size so it was pretty big. The fried shrimp were just okay. Popped in here with my hubby and daughter the other day and it did not disappoint. I ordered buffalo hot wings, which were definitely packing a spicy punch. It was almost too spicy but I really enjoyed the flavor and kick. I especially liked the blue cheese dressing, which is easily the best blue cheese dressing I've ever had. It helped cool down the spice on the wings and was so yummy I could have eaten it by itself. Hubby got the bbq wings and liked them. My daughter ordered her usual mac and cheese with fries and was a happy camper. We had the cheese curds to start, which were a bit on the greasy side but very tasty. Overall, great food and service. This is a great place to watch whatever game you want to see. TVs everywhere and a friendly staff behind the bar. They are fast, ensuring your glass is not empty for long. The food is fantastic as well. I had the dugout burger. Juicy beef with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and dugout sauce. Their brioche buns are a delight. I added some sweet potato fries (a little sweet and a little salty). I also had a side salad with their maple vinaigrette...yum! Given my experience at Loyal Tavern, it is a must visit spot for an easy lunch if you're in downtown Roswell. The ambiance is exactly what you would expect for a sports bar. Lots of TVs to watch any game you can imagine. The service was also right on. We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and the food came out quickly. The food was really what put them over the top. I ordered the Double BBQ Bacon Burger and it was great. It was loaded up with great toppings including a great amount of bacon. The fries were also really tasty and the meal came with a lot. I haven't eaten at too many other places in downtown Roswell but the value here was great. In the future if I'm in downtown Roswell and need a place where I can definitely get a good meal, I'll definitely be returning to Loyal Tavern. read more

When we asked to switch just one TV, which was redundantly playing the same game as the giant projector right next to it, we were met with empty excuses. Even more disappointing was the manager's attitude: dismissive, unprofessional, and unnecessarily hostile. It's 2026; refusing to dedicate 3% of your screens to women's sports is a weird hill to die on. The single star in this review is exclusively for the ranch dressing. read more

Very friendly staff - but a sports bar that doesn't have ESPN + available...which means no hockey telecasts at all, and a huge dent in available college sports. I have to say the food is well above average for a sports bar, the interior is laid out pretty well, and again the staff (at least at the bar) were friendly and attentive. Now Owner - plop down the $6.99 a month for ESPN, and you just might be on to something. read more

Food is great when they have it. They seem to be out of a lot of things especially a favorite of my family, the brisket nachos. I've been here twice in the past month and they are out of brisket on a Saturday at noon. Service and ambiance is great but when you're out of certain things that are advertised on the menu, it's a huge let down. This place could do better. If I could give 0 stars for service alone I would. I normally do not give reviews on poor service. As long as the food is good, it is what it is....but tonight our server Jewel blatantly ignored us so bad I had to. Once we ordered we were looking for her to catch her eye and ask for a refill... after not seeing her for quite a while we see the 2 girls at the host stand who had been chatting and looking at one of their phones move over to let what turned out to be our server stand up from sitting in the chair that they were blocking.... She was sitting there the whole time. She made eye contact with me as she was talking on her phone, walked out the front door and proceeded to sit down on a bench in front of the restaurant (the place has an indoor/outdoor type of set up). I look at the 2 girls that were standing around her before she got up thinking they would cover her table maybe and see if we needed anything but NOPE. They continued to stay huddled up deep in their conversation. At that point I took it upon myself to take my empty glass to the bar having to walk right past the chatting girls and ask the bartender for a refill... he said sure, took my glass and refilled the drink but didn't even question why a customer walked up to the bar in a sit down establishment. After Jewel finished her conversation she came back in the building, walked right past our table and sat back down to chat with her girlfriends who evidently also weren't there to work. The host stand where the gathering took place was maybe 15 ft from our table so we are talking close.... She never came to see if we needed anything even when she did get up one time to check on another table...I guess she figured our drink glasses filled themselves? There were 2 other servers on the other side of the restaurant running back and forth. They were clearly taking care of their customers. After a loooong wait we finally had to do the whole embarrassing hand wave thing making us look like we were the obnoxious customers... Jewel came over and asked if we wanted dessert. I guess it made sense to her that we would want dessert before a refill on water or maybe a napkin? My husband said no, just a box and the check... Our lovely Jewel asks "Will this be together or separate"? ....my husband just stared at her...and said together please. There was clearly no management present or none that they cared about because what they were doing and how they treated us seemed perfectly acceptable to them. Apparently customers are expected to self serve when it comes to drinks. I tried to call today to speak to a manager before resorting to leaving a review, which is something I have NEVER done in my life but conveniently the phone just rang and rang. It's really unfortunate because we had really started to like this place making it almost a weekly spot but this visit put that to a stop. read more

Overall we loved our lunch here. Everything was amazing and perfect except for one little thing, but it's still bothering me even a week later. The wife was talking with the bartender to figure out a drink and she decided she wanted a margarita like the one on the menu just spicy. The bartender said no problem, what tequila do you want. She said the one that comes with the margarita on the menu. Well I don't know if they picked a higher one or just charged a lot more for the slight modification, but they charged us $18 for the margarita. We didn't expect that. It was a little damper on the whole experience when we got the bill. Other than that, we loved the place. The space is absolutely gorgeous. It's not too big but with plenty of seats. They have an awesome bar with plenty of TV's and confortable seats that I could hang out at for hours. We found the entire staff to be super friendly too. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich for lunch. The fries they serve here are incredibly delicious. Perfect crispy skin, hand cut with some skin still on, excellent crunch with the white fluffy potato on the inside. They served pickles with the meal which was very unique. I have never tasted a pickle quite like it, it was soft and tangy. The bun was excellent vehicle for the chicken which had a crispy crunchy crust and it was truly unbelievable how juicy the chicken was on the inside. My only issue is that it wasn't hot. I should have asked for a side of the sauce. I don't think very much cayenne went into the breading either. However, if you put that aside, it really was one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. My wife as well was astonished at how much she loved her shrimp po boy. Again, we don't usually put a lot of weight on the bread but it was phenomenal. Perfectly soft and flavorful, but holds the sandwich excellently too. Shrimp was great but that hose made remoulade they served with it was out of this world. I could have just drunk the entire thing. They have a great menu selection and an excellent drink menu with plenty of local beer. The staff if amazing and a great space. We are excited to return, although maybe with a different drink selection this time. read more

It's odd when you come to an area so much and yet forget about all the offerings in the area. Loyal Tavern is one of those places off Canton Street that gets lost in the shuffle. This is my second time coming in here. Was here back in 2019 for St. Patty's Day (it was slam packed then, so had my ex help get me a beer from the bar then). Actually forgot about that until coming in here last night. When my friends mentioned Roswell had a tavern, I said, "really?". This place is actually a decent tavern! The draft menu is pretty long, so if you're looking to grab a beer and walk around Canton Street, this is one option (if you don't feel like walking down to Gate City Brewery). I had a Warsteiner Pilsner, which was great (the German version of Stella). It's a good atmosphere with TVs everywhere and huge comfy booths, huge bar in the center and tables. Kind of like an upscale Taco Mac. Their menu offers a variety of options, mostly gastro pub type foods. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. For as simple as it looked, it packed a lot of heat & taste. The fries were so-so. My friend's daughter had wings, and I tried one ... wow, very hot and moist. I liked how they sliced the carrots up and celery with the wings. The service was great too! Overall a good experience. I would certainly come back. read more
