I purchased a vehicle for my son from this dealership. During the first 2 weeks, I have had nothing but problems with the engine. When I took it to be diagnosed, I was told that it had blown head gaskets. The repair will cost $4500 including parts and labor. I was told that this vehicle is a LEMON. I needed to get my car inspected, because I just moved to Maryland. I found Top Tech using Google and/or Yelp (can't remember), and I picked it because it's walking distance from my apartment. I called to see if they could fit me in, and they gave me a time later that day. Coming from Texas/Tennessee, I didn't realize this would be a real inspection (rather than just a two-minute emissions test), but they got it done quickly! They unfortunately found some things during the inspection that they couldn't pass, so I made an appointment to come back a few days later when they had ordered what they need to make the repairs. Sam in the front office is really nice and communicated with me throughout the repairs. Top Tech is in my neighborhood, but I had a great experience. This place is the only place that I found doing inspection on Saturday. The first inspection I failed because I got a big crack on my windshield. They recommended me a glass repair service. I would not recommend any one to this shop. About eight months ago, My gear shaft needed to be replace and I had them do the work for me. At the time I was satisfied with the work they had done. However, about a week age the same problem occur. This time the gear shaft fell completely off of my truck while I was driving. In addition to the gear shaft falling off, the rear differential now needed to be replaced. So i took it back to the shop to be fixed. Everything was fine up to this point, however, when I tried to explain to the owner the history and issues I had with my truck, he immediately began to lie about everything from me not having the work done previous at his shop, to him not working at the shop during the time I said that the work was done, to trying to over charge me to fixed the truck. At no time was I ever implying to him that he nor his company was in the wrong, I was just trying to make sense on what the issue was and how to go forward in fixing it. I've had several conversation with the owner since dropping the truck back off at the shop, where he continues to lie to me about clearly things that he really did not have to mention to me nor lie to me about. Because of how dishonest this man has been to me, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GET ANY WORK DONE AT TOP TECH AUTO CENTER. read more

Honest mechanics are hard to find, but these guys are the exception to the rule. Not only do they do a great job at reasonable rates, but they are straightforward, return your phone calls and go out of their way to help. I had an issue with my new car and brought it in for an estimate, and while they gave me a lower rate than other garages, they told me the dealer should never have sold it that way and what to say on the phone to get the dealer to repair it for free. I did what they said, and they saved me $1500. They could have just taken my money, but now they have a customer for life. We'll never go to another mechanic. read more

The owner is super friendly and honest, they would never fool you into getting service or things you don't really need. Every time we spent less than we expected. This is a family business; they are on the third generation of operators since I've lived here, and each one is better than the last (Rafi is no longer here, but the great service continues). My most recent experience was a simple oil change, but they also fixed another small problem without any fuss when I came back the next day. I called here on a Saturday morning (you heard right... an auto shop that's actually open on the weekend!). I was visiting family in Baltimore and needed someone in the area to fix one of my headlights. The mechanic told me to come in around noon and he would take care of it. I brought my tablet with me because I expected there to be a wait since it was midday on the weekend. My assumption was wrong! The mechanic immediately went out to the parking lot, assessed the situation, and was able to put in a new headlight in about 15 minutes. He did everything in the parking lot. Other mechanics have struggled to replace my headlight, to the point of having to take off the wheel to access it. Not this place! The mechanic struggled a little at first, but he did some playing around and was ultimately able to access the headlight without taking off the wheel. I'm sure that saved me some unnecessary labor fees. My visit was less than 20 minutes and cost less than $20. I appreciate their honesty and professionalism, and will be returning here for sure. read more

I have to say, if you are a lady who knows little about cars, STAY AWAY from these guys. At first glance they seem totally charming, and willing to help you get your car back on the road. My experience was as follows: Took my 98 Volvo in because my engine was overheating. I knew the car had some problems, but this was a new one. After they walked me around and under the car, talking a mile a minute about things I didn't understand, they told me my car was not safe to drive because I needed new brake pads. Ok well 'why was my engine overheating' oh it just needed new anitfreeze fluid, it should be no problem now. They also told me they did a full evaluation on the car and that fixing my brakes was the only immediate issue ($700) and so I sprung for it. Less than two weeks later my engine is overheating again. I take it in only for them to open up the hood, sigh and say that my radiator needs to be replaced, another $400. Why in the world did they not see this when they did the initial evaluation? The answer is, If they are skilled mechanics, they would have seen this. They figured I would spend another $400 since I just dumped my entire savings on new brakes. They also were overly flirtatious which was totally uncomfortable, but I guess that's how they operate. Gain your trust, and then take advantage. What a bunch of jerks. read more
