    Chicken & Cheese
    Lucas C.

Tried this new Korean spot and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Tofu Soup all day special and the chicken and cheese combination meal. The cheese on top of the chicken was torched right at the table! Both were flavorful! The banchan was also great and we were offered refills of any of the ones we wanted throughout the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the meal even better. Not pictured was a sweet rice dessert drink we hadn't tried before, and it was a pleasant surprise to end the meal. Overall, great food and a great experience we'll definitely be back!

I have eaten here a few times, it's my favorite Korean restaurant. The foods are always delicious and customer service is very friendly.

Always happy to find a new local Korean restaurant to support. We ordered the katsu plate, seafood pancake, and cold noodles. The banchan tasted really fresh. Food came out fast and was tasty. We did stop in around 3ish so will have to see how the service and food is during busier times. Overall, an enjoyable meal and experience for our first time. Looking forward to trying other menu items!

Try this bite: take some cabbage, add bean paste, tomato, cilantro and onion mix, bulgogi and cucumber

Every time I go to a Korean restaurant, I usually order the bulgogi and soondubu combination. When the food came out, I immediately knew it would taste different from other Korean restaurants I've been to because some of the banchan didn't look familiar, and they even served a vegetable medley, which was new to me. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it! One of the banchan was a tomato, onion, and cilantro mix that I think had yuzu, which really brightened each bite I made with cabbage, bulgogi, bean paste, and cucumbers. It was so fresh and delicious! I loved it!

After wanting to try Da Rae K-BBQ & Soon Tofu for a while, we finally stopped by--and I'm glad we…read moredid. The banchan was delicious and had a nice variety, including radish stem kimchi, cucumber kimchi, fish cakes, soybean paste with nuts, fried eggplant, and more. Everything tasted fresh and well made. We started with the fried dumplings, which were crispy on the outside and filled with really tasty filling. The soybean stew was packed with flavor and had potatoes, onions, and zucchini--super comforting. The short ribs were juicy and flavorful, especially with a side of rice. The pork cutlet was perfectly crispy, and the dipping sauce added just the right touch of sweetness. Even the salad was good, with a dressing that wasn't too overpowering. They serve hot barley tea and water, and you can buy canned soft drinks if you want something else. Everything we had was delicious--honestly, there wasn't anything I didn't like. Prices were fair, and the customer service was great. Our waitress checked on us several times to make sure we were good and even showed us how to make rice porridge using the hot barley tea and the crispy rice at the bottom of the pot, which ended up being really good too. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, well-lit, and has lots of natural color (tans, brown). It appears to have been recently remodeled. There is plenty of seating and open space. This restaurant is great for groups of all sizes. We'll definitely be back to try more items.

I am used to soon tofu soup having multiple levels of spiciness. Also no raw egg is offered without the soup, this I also found odd. Also, banchan was very disappointing. This is what makes the meal for me. Kimchi was not fermented enough and was a pale orange color, fishcake was not offered without you asking, there were no cucumbers, scallion pancake, seasoned bean sprouts, potatoes, or noodles. The flounder offered was very tasty but again, offered at the end of the meal when we were wrapping up. I'm used to this being offered at the beginning or during meal. I think I would only go back if they ramped up their banchan but I did ask, and they said they won't really rotate their banchan :( staff was very attentive but the food will make or break it for me. Hoping I can retry in the future once they're more established.

Unfortunately, this particular location in McKinley, Corona was very disappointing. The service was horrible. Our server was rude, not friendly at all, and didn't even smile. If you're in the service industry, basic respect and courtesy go a long way, especially when dealing with customers. Sadly, that was completely missing. We also spoke to the manager regarding the brisket, which was tough and rubbery, but she didn't seem to care at all. No concern, no effort to resolve the issue. To make things worse, our server went on break and told us someone would cover--but no one ever came to check on us or take our orders. We were left trying to get anyone's attention, and even when I was clearly waving for help, the staff ignored us. Orders took forever--at least 10-15 minutes each time--even though the restaurant wasn't busy. My husband asked for a Diet Coke refill and it never came until we had to ask again. We love Gen Korean BBQ, but this location was a huge letdown. Poor service, lack of attention, and no accountability. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back to this branch and would not recommend it. Do yourself a favor and go to a different location.

My wife and I just had our first Korean BBQ experience, and we loved it. Everything is self-serve, which actually made the experience even better. Cooking the food together at the table made dinner feel more interactive and fun instead of just sitting there waiting for food to arrive. Our favorites were definitely the Spicy Bulgogi, Spicy Chicken, and the kimchi. The meats had amazing flavor and cooked up perfectly on the grill, and the kimchi had that perfect spicy tang that paired really well with everything. What we didn't expect was how intimate the whole experience felt. Since you're cooking and sharing the food together, it naturally made my wife and I talk more and enjoy each other's company instead of just sitting there with our faces buried in our phones waiting for food to come out. It really turned dinner into quality time. Another great surprise was the price -- less than $80 out the door for the two of us, which felt like a great value for such a fun and memorable experience. If you've never tried Korean BBQ before, this is a great place to start. We'll definitely be back.

The Ramen place was closed, so we quickly decided to go get Korean barbecue from 356 Korean BBQ. That was our first mistake of the night. We waited about 20 to 30 minutes for a table, which isn't unheard of considering it was a busy night, we were finally after about 30 minutes seated at a table that was right in front of an open door where the bar was and the entrance was, it was sort of cold that night so every time anyone opened the door, it was super cold. I asked to be placed at another table and was told that there was no other tables available, but people continued to pour in and be seated at the other tables, even after additional tables became open there was still no offer to move us. As I looked around I realized that my boyfriend and I was the only black couple there. This is interesting to note because we were the only ones sat in the worst seating at the restaurant. In the time I was there, I did not see anyone else seated at that table. This to me was considered the worst seating because it's right at the entrance where it's packed there is a lot of commotion. It's extremely uncomfortable being right by the entrance And it was cold that night. As the night went on, they proceeded to serve us a $6 nonalcoholic peach drink that was not refillable and a $16 alcoholic beverage that was less than 8 ounces. Those prices were absolutely crazy. We decided to get premium but let's explore what you get with that premium choice: You only have a hour and 20 minutes to eat. You can only order eight items at a time, some of which you can only order the amount that your party size is, for example the super small Wagyu sushi rolls that are literally the size of a pinky. You can only order two of those if there's two people in your party, they're not unlimited if you pay for premium. Meaning for the whole 1 1/2 of time you are there you only get 2, there are also other items that you can only get 2 of. Lastly, but definitely not least you cannot order whenever you finish your food. You have to wait 10 minute increments to order food. When You visit a Korean barbecue restaurant it is universally understood that you're going to be ordering a lot of food and understood that any food you do not consume will have to pay for the leftover food. Also we kept getting asked all night if we needed anything, but as soon as we did need something, the waiter was nowhere to be found. The cuts of meat at this restaurant do not seem like super quality cuts of meat so I definitely would not recommend this Korean barbecue as a place that has super quality meats. Our bill ended up being close to $200 and for what we got, the service, the quality of the meats and just the ambience. I was not worth it and I will not be returning.

The popcorn chicken was also crispy, though it felt like it needed a bit more seasoning, but to be fair, we ordered all the sauces on the side, just to be on the safe side and honestly it's just preference to whoever orders.
