Top Shelf gets a 5 for a quick installation and fair price for a very good product. I had12 regular pullouts and 3 large pullouts installed in my kitchen/bar areas. Nicer finish and more attractive than ones in my prior home. Enjoying the convenience and ease when looking for something! read more

Had Top Shelf install 6 pullouts in a large cabinet and 3 pullouts in two smaller cabinets in my kitchen. Very satisfied with the company, the product and the results. The new pullouts make accessing kitchen "stuff" much easier and less frustrating to find items. The materials used for the pullouts is quality while the price seemed reasonable for what was delivered. Would recommend this company to anyone who is installing new cabinetry or updating their existing cabinetry, good choice. read more

I could not be happier. The shelves are all dovetailed wood, and the installation is first rate. I am sure these will last a lifetime. Ronda was very professional--at first I wanted something different done, and she said that they could not provide what I wanted, and that if I wanted to seek other sources, she would understand. After thinking about it and given the quality of the sample shelf, I decided to go with what Top Shelf offered and I am very happy with the result. Curtis was methodical in the installation. Makes a huge difference in my kitchen. So glad I worked with Top Shelf. read more

I am so happy with the work done by this company!! I saw an ad in Home Concepts Magazine and called for an estimate. I had deep cabinets and would have to pull all the cans and packages out to see what I already had at home. Having pull out drawers was something that I felt would really help in organizing the cabinets and make it so much easier to look at what was in the back of the cabinets. I also wanted to have a two trash can pull out drawer. I contacted the company and Rhonda came to my house to measure everything! Rhonda was a pleasure to work with. She listened to what I wanted and also gave me some ideas I didn't think about! I ended up adding new drawer glides on all my drawers so they would pull out all the way! The quality of the wood shelves was excellent, and Mike who installed everything, was meticulous and very professional! I felt the price was great and I have been very happy with everything! I showed everything off at our family Easter dinner! This is a great company! I highly recommend them and will use them for any future needs!! Thanks Rhonda and Mike! You have made my kitchen so much more efficient and organized! read more

I am SO happy I had this company install shelves in my kitchen-- now nothing gets lost in the netherlands of the back cabinets and I am not spending the next month of weekends trying to install them myself. I had 10 shelves installed in October 2011 and am very happy with the service I received and with the shelves themselves. I looked into buying them directly and installing myself, and going through this company cost about 1/3 - 1/4 more than buying the shelves online (though going online is for shelves only, not installation, of course, whereas their cost includes installation). So after considering it for awhile, I'm really glad I just had them do it and now can be done with it and use my kitchen. It's a bit of a pricey endeavor, but it was definitely worth it for us since it makes the kitchen so much more functional and since we plan on being here a long time. The benefits for me were (as mentioned above) I'm not dealing with the frustration and wait of installing them myself or the marital problems of waiting for my husband to install, and another big plus is that they do custom sizes-- and take out center posts so that you can have one large pull-out in a two door cabinet. So I think I get a lot more space out of it than I would have if we ordered them in non-custom sizes. Also, Curtis was our installer and he did a really good job. Called us back promptly and explained everything, plus I was comfortable having him in my home (with two young children), which is a big consideration for me. Really nice and friendly guy. Also, I like using local companies when I can and have found that the very small local companies tend to give better service than the 'big guys' and are usually comparable or better in price. Takes a little more homework than just going to one of the big chains or going with the big newspaper advertisers, but in my experience it has been worth it in the end. Overall, I would definitely recommend Pull Out Shelf Company. read more

Found Pull Out Shelf Company at the Home show. Made an appointment there, and reviewed our kitchen project. Curtis was our contact and he was the best. Knew his stuff, easy to talk with and get ideas from, and wasn't afraid to tell you when you shouldn't put them in!! By the end of the call, I found another cabinet to install them in. Install was on time and fast. The quality was exactly what we spoke about including dovetail joints. Reasonable price, quick and friendly service and great custom product. " A Great Company, That Does Exactly What They Promised " 15 years ago my wife and I had the Pull Out Shelf Company of San Diego install pull out shelves in our new home. They installed the shelves in our Master Bathroom, and all through our Kitchen cabinet areas. Throughout the 15 years our pull out drawers have work fantastic, with no problems. But recently we had 2 large shelves start to have a problem moving in and out smoothly. So I call Tom at Pull Out Shelf Company of San Diego to set up and appointment for a technician to come out and fix our problem. The good thing about working with this company is that they are so honest as they stand by their contracts, and also what is stated on their web site, where they say " OUR PULLOUTS COME WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY ! " Curtis Mettling co-owner from the Pull Out Shelf Company came out one day after I called, and fixed all the problems we had within 2 hours. Curtis was so Professional, Knowledgeable, Precise, and very careful, ,as he showed great attention to detail. Curtis installed four new pull out metal drawer rails for both shelves, and cleaned up everything so nice. Because we had purchased the shelfs from this great company years ago, and because of the Company Guarantee of a life time warranty, Curtis did not charge us 1 cent for the materials or labor for the repairs. If you want to eliminate the familiar hassle of bending over to search for items stored in the back of your cabinets, and upgrade your existing cabinets and make them fully functional for a fraction of the cost of buying new cabinets or remodeling. Then the Pull Out Shelf Company of San Diego based in Vista Ca., is the company to call. You will not be disappointed ! They are FANTASTIC ! read more

This company was quick to respond. I had contacted two other pull out shelf companies that never responded. they installed the items efficiently and accommodated changes. Rhonda took the time and care to make sure I ended up with what I wanted. She picked up and returned a spice draw that needed to be fitted for an extra row. I really appreciated her service. read more

We had a great and personable experience with Rhonda and our installer. We love our new drawers!!! It's totally worth it.

This company makes a top notch product and the installation team is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend them. The slide outs function smoothly, they are well built and support plenty of weight. I had all of my lower cabinets done and 3 of their spice racks installed. The price is reasonable, the turn around time faster than ordering the ones from Costco, and these have given me so much more storage options! I can actually use the back of my cabinets now! Try them out, you'll be glad you did! read more

Quality of work was exceptional as was the follow-up when a cabinet handle had to be repaired on a second visit.

Very professional, good price, short lead time and excellent installation. I used the coupon in the Union/Tribune.

Rhonda was great. I worked with her remotely to have cupboards updated and replaced for my parents in San Diego. She was responsive, professional, and very understanding of our needs and priorities. She responded quickly, I found the prices to be very reasonable, and she dialogue one on one with my parents to make them comfortable with the plan and process. We even had a follow up request after the job was done, and Rhonda was very understanding to support that, without any further charge. Overall, it was a very smooth and successful experience, and my parents are very happy with the product. We highly recommend them! read more

Recent install of pull out shelves and replacement boxes for my original 1980s cabinets. Top Shelf service was excellent: scheduling onsite quote was easy, full written quote with clear cost by item so I could decide what best fit my budget, Treigh made great recommendations to improve kitchen organization that I had not considered, and Scott did a wonderful job on the install and went the extra mile to return rapidly to correct a small issue. Overall very impressed with the entire team and very happy with the outcome!! I would reccomend Top Shelf to anyone trying to update their kitchen and the functionality/organization of the kitchen without doing a full remodel. read more

Great company! They did an amazing job with our pull out shelf's in the kitchen and bathrooms. Everyone from the owners to the installers were excellent. Communication was great, they were on time and the overall product is well constructed. I have shared their information with all of our friends. I just wish I called them sooner. It has really made a difference for me in terms of getting to the items in the back of the cupboard. Love!! Love!! read more

We are delighted with the product, installation, selection process and the entire experience dealing with Top Shelf Pull Outs. Everything was just as promised and the shelves were installed a day earlier than originally scheduled. We had one hiccup due to an error in the shipment (not the company's fault,) but the installer resolved it the same day and was able to complete the job. We couldn't be happier and would recommend Top Shelf to anyone looking for a great shelving product and experience. read more

Curtis just finished the install of all of our new kitchen shelves and they are awesome. He was fastidious in his craftsmanship. He is super. The quality of the shelves are excellent, tongue and groove corners, heavy stainless steel glides, etc. And, we considered the price to be very reasonable especially considering the high quality of their product. If you are considering new shelves and drawers anywhere in your home, you owe it to yourself to invite Tom and his team to give you a quote. I think you will be pleasantly pleased with what they have to offer and the cost. Good luck. read more

Absolutely loved the white glove service! Rhonda & her team were so professional and efficient! From the time I called to the time they were able to install was so easy. I am a busy professional, so I used the white glove service for them to put the stuff back in my cabinets, and it was worth every penny. The products are a much higher quality than the existing ones I did not replace. Can't wait till we remodel our kitchen & get them in all our new cabinets!! read more

I used this company to help me organize my kitchen cupboards and make the out-of-reach cupboards more accessible. They did a remarkable job in half a day. Stephon and Curtis were totally professional and pay attention to every detail. Their prices were far better than the competition and the product is very sturdy and well made. My favorite part was the white glove service from Joyce the organizer so I literally didn't have to lift a finger to reorganize all my pots, pans, dishes, cups and utensils. These guys know what they are doing. read more

Curtis was our installer and he was so extremely accommodating. Always inquiring exactly where we wanted the shelves placed. He did a wonderful job. Very neat and considerate. Rhonda was amazing to work with. She is professional, personable and 100% interested in her customers getting exactly what they want. I was a little disappointed in the width of the bin for cookie sheets, etc. and without any hesitation she had Stefan remeasure and squeak out an extra 3/4 inch. It was installed today by Curtis and I am very happy with the new bin! All three of these people are a class act. I highly recommend them -- oh, and the pullout shelves are very high quality -- and this company. I would love to post pictures but I don't see how I can do that. read more

Tom and his crew were amazing! Not only did he come in and save the day for us, he also redid all of our pull out shelves. We had a horrible experience with a "big name" store and Tom came in and was able to take much of their incompetent handiwork and make it work. He also replaced the shelves he installed in 1996, which were working quite well, but needed an update. I would recommend him for refacing cabinets and shelving, honestly anything to do with cabinetry. What excellent service, workmanship and value. read more

I'm just a few months behind in doing this review for Pull Out Shelves. Bought our house in December and loved that all kitchen cabinets had pull out shelving. After we were in and I started loading the pantry shelves with food I noticed the shelves continued to roll out so I had to keep the pantry door in a position so the shelves would not roll out. Already spent enough money on the purchase so I checked and found that Pull Out Shelves had done the install several years ago. Called and made appt for Curtis to come out to look. Found out later that he is one of the owners and takes his job to heart. He apologized and said the original install was not done properly and the shelving was pulling the pantry shelves down and would eventually come falling down. Curtis said he would have to rebuild the entire unit, redo the spacing of the drawers and take the weight off the shelves. I believe he only charged me $100 to correct this but I felt badly that he had to redo work. I bought more shelving for my linen cabinets to help offset his work. We had to reschedule a couple of times because my husband fell off a ladder and needed back surgery after being in the house 3 days. It took him about 8 hours to redo the pantry shelving which was a narrow space to begin with. But he did an outstanding job and has the utmost regard for doing things right the first time. We are grateful to Curtis for fixing a problem and being an honorable business person. Thank you so very much Curtis The Mancini's read more

Curtis had done 2 homes for me with multiple shelves in various locations. His workmanship is excellent. We used a competitor previously and prefer the quality and workmanship from Pull Out Shelf of SD. I have hired Top Shelf Pull Outs many times, probably 4 or so now and we are still making our way through the house! We will definitely be hiring them again. We got pull outs installed in some of the kitchen cabinets, replaced a drawer with a nice built-in organizer, replaced the pull out trashcan, and completely remodeled the pantry. It is absolutely worth it! I I am no longer crawling around or pulling everything out to get to one thing. Not only did we replace the old metal inserts that (for the drawers) with quality wood ones but in some cases we were able to expand our space to the full cabinet depth. Now, we have more space and the pull out comes ALL the way out so I am not reaching in the back for things (or never seeing them again). Everyone is very nice and accommodating. They are respectful, wear masks when in the house and maintain a distance of 6 feet. read more

Super job, start to finish! The shelves look and work great, and it couldn't have been easier to have it done.

Curtis just finished installing shelves throughout our kitchen, as well as a pantry, our master bedroom, and in a built-in bookcase. We are so impressed by the quality and look of the shelves, and Curtis's professionalism overall. I must add that Curtis had to come to our house three times because we weren't exactly sure what we wanted to do, and he was extremely patient and helpful with suggestions to get everything just right so that our home cabinetry will be much more functional for us. I wish we had done this earlier! read more

I recently had this company do shelves in my kitchen. They were easy to talk with via email and phone. They came and gave me an estimate which seemed somewhat high to me then again I know nothing about how much remodeling costs these days. I got a second opinion from a friends contact and he said he couldn't even touch the price I was quoted. That confirmed it. I'd go with this company. Curtis was my technician. All very pleasant and professional. I was pleasantly surprised that the job took exactly the time he quoted. I am very thankful for the service I received!.I am enjoying the ease of having pull out shelves. I definately recommend this company. read more
