That said, I wouldn't discourage anyone from giving Fresh Flours a try. They have a nice selection of baked goods, and I'd definitely be open to returning to try a few more things on the menu. Maybe I'll find something I really love next time!

Any other organic vegan donut I try after this now has to meet this standard. They are that good. I had no idea a place like this existed until Dillon told me about it and we decided to order some the next day for National Donut day! We decided try their order online option and ended up choosing a variety pack, which, truthfully, made it so much easier than deciding between the yummy flavors. We woke up early thinking we had to pick up the order at 6, we ended up getting there a little before 7 and the kind employee still let us in the shop despite not quite being open yet. I loved that we got to see what donuts they had on hand and their menu inside. We even got to get a couple of mini donuts as a free gift for the special donut holiday! I loved the open set up in this shop, the seating, and their sustainable efforts. Upon reading more about the company and their mission it is certainly a company that aligns with my beliefs in sustainability, conservation, and providing a product that can be enjoyed by almost anyone, GF, Vegan, organic. I'm glad to see they opened up shop in a couple more places in Washington, I can't see them expanding here in Nebraska, but it just makes me want to make more frequent visits to see family, friends, and the beautiful PNW more often! On to the sweet stuff. The donuts were delicious!! I loved the chocolate raspberry, chocolate peanut butter, lemon poppy, French toast, pretty much all of them. But I think my favorite was the chocolate raspberry. One of the first things I noticed about the donuts is they didn't give me that weird waxy aftertaste on my tongue or the roof of my mouth! The three of us made our way around trying the dozen, each of us halfing one of them to try and on to the next. Mighty-O will definitely be on my list as a go to the next time we're in town and I plan to try their coffee then too!

However, despite being on crutches, I ventured out with The Homie late this afternoon for our first visit (2/24/26). This new retail spot is located at the street level of a residential complex. The commercial kitchen remains at their Burien site. Look for the helpful sidewalk placards and located diagonally westward from the Greenwood Fred Meyer. The business is also adjacent to a law office, nail salon/spa, and glass businesses by 3rd Ave NW and NW 85th St. Once we walked in, we received pleasant greetings from the onsite staff and wow such an awesome display case with an assortment of fresh, enticing cookies! There is also a freezer case containing Lopez Island Creamery ice cream pints. Next to that was a refrigerated case containing cakes by the slice or whole. There is also a variety of branded merch available for purchase...cookie bites, hoodies, and totes. I appreciated all the clear identifiers and respective prices for all of their featured products. The Homie selected two of the Reese's peanut butter cookies and one Birthday cookie. I did the same with one birthday cookie, but also tried a pecan brittle cookie, and a strawberry chip. As what I've come to enjoy from Lowrider's cookies - fresh, moist, and chockful of flavorful ingredients. Their cookies are balanced regarding chew, texture, and sweetness. Perfect size to share, or not. For folks that have dietary or health sensitivities like gluten and/or nut free, cookies are not separated. Ask the retail staff regarding your concerns. Access is at street level - no steps or inclines to deal with. Lowrider Cookie Company has other locations at SEA Airport, Seattle's Central District, and Burien. They've definitely expanded since the days of their pop ups and the Georgetown trailer location. I welcome this new location in North Seattle/Greenwood driving from Shoreline. Yet another terrific treats spot added to the vast radius of Greenwood, Phinney Ridge, and Ballard neighborhoods!
