I am extremely disappointed with how my nephew was treated at Top Pho. He is a regular customer who comes here practically every day, so what happened was completely unacceptable. He noticed that his card had been overcharged and went in to address it. He even showed them the transactions on his account to explain exactly what he was talking about. Instead of respectfully trying to resolve the issue, he says the staff suddenly acted as though they couldn't understand what he was saying, despite him having communicated with them before. What really crossed the line was when they went into the back, came back with money balled up, and threw it toward his face. Regardless of whether there was a misunderstanding about the charge, there is absolutely no excuse for treating a customer that way especially someone who has supported your business regularly. A billing dispute could have been handled with a simple conversation and basic respect. Throwing money at a customer's face is humiliating, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Im so sorry but I ordered 2 rainbow tapioca bubble teas and\n It was disgusting, it was made with the powder. It tasted horrible and it was mishy, so I went in and re ordered a new one with tapioca, thinking it would make a difference. Had an intense craving for pho after a night of drinking (if you know, you know...) and decided to try somewhere new for delivery. Top Pho ended up being the winner! I knew first thing in the morning I wanted to order it, so I scheduled the delivery ahead of time on my Yelp app right on their Yelp page. Quick and easy! This is a to-go review Beef Pho was great, 4/5 stars broth was rich and had all the classic sides in good order no issues. Bean sprouts were starting to have that little off taste but thats extremely common at pho places, even when you buy from the store. Bank mi sandwhiches pork & chicken 2/5, no pickled veggies that I could tell and no mayo or aioli made for a really dry sandwich. If sandwich wasn't so dry easy 3/4 star. Minor changes could make the sandwich much better. Bread was also not as soft as i would like but that's a super minor thing compared to the dryness. Would i come back? Yes, pho was very good. When a bowl of pho comes out and if you got an eye for good pho like me, you can instantly tell from the color of the broth and how it looks, if it is good or not. In this case, I was correct because it looked clear, which means it is bland with a little cinnamon flavor to it. I tasted it and quickly added hoisin and lime + leftover fish sauce from my shrimp spring roll. Thank you shrimp spring roll fish sauce! It tasted better, but still no good. My wife on the other hand, added everything she can find from the condiments on our table and nothing was able to do magic to her broth, as they were dissolved into the flavorless broth of doom. Was this the worst pho I had? No, everything else was good like the meat, noodles, but just not the broth. The restrooms were clean. Server was extra friendly. They had no one there, when we came. This is one of the best pho places that we frequent often. The owners treat you like family. If you like presentation and detail to your food, this is going to be your favorite, as well. I love that they use glass/porcelain dishes and cups. Also, their pho isn't sweet or over-salty. It has the right amount of spices and herbs. The add in veggies always fresh, green, and crisp. They know I like my sprouts steamed, so that is a plus. Their home made hot chili oil sauce is BOMB. Tastes wonderful, and we usually get spring rolls or Banhmi, but not tonight. There are way too many noodles in the soup - I prefer more broth. I had a small which was plenty for me at lunch but the large is only a dollar more. Was looking for a place to try some pho as I'm new in town. Saw this one had great reviews. Ordered a Thai tea, crab rangoons, and a pho. A couple bites into my pho I noticed a small hair. I let the waitress know. She told me "we all have long hair here." I showed her the hair and said could I please have a new bowl? She said "no. We don't have anymore soup today. Order something else. Get fried rice." I said sure I'll get a chicken fried rice but then changed my mind and didn't want it anymore. I told her "cancel the fried rice." She said "okay I'll give you the Thai tea." She then brings the bill and I am still charged for the pho that I didn't even eat. I went up and said "I'm sorry but I'm not gonna pay for the pho. I didn't eat it." The bottles on the table were sticky, noodles were greasy, fish sauce was bland and the bread on my sandwich was over toasted and it tore up the roof of my mouth! The one person they had working in the dining room was in the kitchen half the time. Customers came in and stood around until she came back out. I've seen a few reviews complaining about the amount of meat you get, so I'll address that. I decided to stop by here before heading back home to the Portland area on Saturday (8/20/16). The staff there was pretty friendly. I got the C4 I believe, which is their rice plate that consists of rice, egg rolls, fried egg, and fried pork chop (apparently salad too but I don't remember seeing in mentioned in their menu). I got my 8 year old daughter their kids meatball Pho. For drinks I got the Thai Iced Tea while my daughter got their strawberry bubble tea. My rice plate was pretty tasty. The egg rolls were nice and fresh, the egg was delicious, and the pork chop was flavorful. I didn't bother with the salad that came with ranch (OK, I only took one bite). I tried a few bite of my daughter's meatball Pho that we didn't put any seasons in because she's very picky. Normally, I don't mind Pho without any added seasonings as it's very flavorful but their Pho was a little on the bland side. I was half tempted to add some salt to the bowl but figure since my daughter wasn't complaining she was fine with it. For their strawberry bubble tea and Thai Iced Tea we got it was good but my Thai Iced Tea came with a lot of ice (more than half was filled with ice). I'm sure it varies from restaurant to restaurant but I remember thinking to myself 'Damn, that's a lot of ice.' Overall, if I'm ever in the area, I'd come back to dine again. read more
