This company uses anticoagulant rodenticides. These poisons are already banned in several states and provinces in the US and Canada. They kill everything! Not only the intended host, usually rats and mice, but also anything else that eats the host. Wildlife and pets are the main risk of secondary poisoning. It's sad that they use these poisons when there is just as effective alternatives available. Just last year, the local city of Saint Petersburg, Florida switched from this garbage to a safer alternative. You may ask why is this allowed? "Corporate science," is the answer. My car is sitting at Ford in Clearwater FL as of July 17, 2025 waiting for a recall for peeling paint. On 8/4/25, Eric the collision manager called and told mey car was a Biohazard and I needed to get it off the lot immediately for the safety of his staff and the dealership. He said the car was infested with cockroaches and they would not touch it until it was fumigated. He told me they work with Top Notch. I called and made an appt for them to look at the car there at the dealership. Their rep never called me with a quote and I had to chase them for it. Mary read the notes and said the car was invested, the dealership wouldn't touch it until it was fumigated and that they needed to run and ozone treatment as well to cover up the smell of the dead roaches. I had no choice but to agree to this price of $475. She said this price did not include vacuuming the dead carcasses from the car and I would have to arrange that after the treatment. I never talked to anyone else from this company. I had to call to ask if the treatment was done. That was Aug 7. On Aug 8, I picked up the car at Ford. I opened the door expecting a nightmare but could not see any cockroaches. I took pictures of the interior. I took the car to be cleaned. 5 cockroaches were found, mainly babies, who no doubt scurried to get out of the 100 plus degree car they had been trapped in for 3 weeks without food and water. I did however, find at least 50 sunflower seeds I spilled in the car. The smell was from something I spilled in the truck a month ago and had not cleaned. Then the car sat in the Florida sun for a month. Top Notch sprayed some awful perfume over it which made it worse. Top notch has insisted the smell was "decomposing German cockroaches." I notified top notch immediately with pictures. I also reported this to Ford Corporate. Now I understand why no salesman or tech from Top Notch bothered to call. I don't know who are Ford is in collusion with Top Notch but this is attempted fraud and I will not be paying this bill. read more

I had such a pleasant experience working with Top Notch Pest Control! Firstly, supporting small businesses is important to me, and I loved that the owner answered the phone on the first ring! Wonderful family owned business. Both Mike and his son Paul were wonderful to work with! I had an issue with rats that had gotten into my attic. I called 4 different companies and they used a lot of scare tactics to tell you to expect to pay between $500-1000 or "they'll destroy your house." This company was recommended by a family friend. Not only did they come out the next day but they charged me...$275. They've been out 3x's setting traps and sealed all the holes around my house. He mentioned that he was aware of how many people use scare tactics to charge unnecessary services. They don't operate like that. They've been in the business a very long time and know their business. The owner and his son were extremely professional and walked me through the entire process. I even added their annual service which is pet friendly and if I have any issues after my annual treatment, they take care of it at no charge. That's a fantastic deal! Scheduling to service was great. Paul came mad gave me an estimate and listened to my concerns and answered any questions I had. I had time to get other quotes but Top Notch guarantees their service and I felt confident in their work. He came and spent an hour or more spraying and baiting, checking every corner and dark space. I live in a townhouse so not many places to hide but still thorough. Sprays and baits used were safe for all livings things and hopefully safe for all the indoor plants. I sure did have some pest issues. I am admittedly a very picky person. I like things explained to me and I like things done correctly. Mike at Top Notch was so kind, professional and informative! He answered all my questions and took the time to really do a thorough job with great attention to detail when treating my home which only has to happen once a year! I have struggled with a roach problem since I moved into my townhome in Oldsmar. I live off of Forest Lakes which is near a heavily wooded area and figured that bugs were a common problem. I chose Top Notch as they were a local company and I saw that they had great reviews. I reached out on Yelp and within a week received a reasonable estimate from Mike and felt comfortable from the start as he was very professional and was looking to tailor a custom plan to meet my needs. He gave me a few options and I never once felt pressured. He left me with information to discuss with my husband and left me his card to schedule if we decided to use the service. I was able to schedule an extermination within a few days. I went with the best package which was $440.00 annually for multiple pests and covered the entire house inside and out. Within 3 hours Mike and his son Paul had located the problem areas and completely exterminated my infestation. My house was free of the roach problem that I was struggling to get under control for the past 2 years. Communication was excellent. I was given a call when the process of exterminating was complete and I received a full explanation of where the nests were located and what I needed to watch for. They ended up killing 300+ roaches. They were so thorough! I was disgusted and unaware of the level that it had reached. They left my stove and refrigerator pulled out so I could see what they found. It made me question if those areas had ever been cleaned as I live in a rental property. I thought I had a minor problem, and would just see a roach here or there, but was fully educated by the staff that there were multiple nests, from my refrigerator motor to my pantry lighting area and even my bar stools. I felt so relieved when they left that the problem had 100% been taken care of in just a few hours. They even offered to come back and check on things in 10-14 days. You can check why I gave them 1 star on Google. If I could I would give them 0 stars. All I say here is that this company has a lot of liars in it. They made a comment on my review on Google lying about a situation they only heard one side to. They didn't even listen to the complaints my family had. They made it seem like we didn't listen to there worker and that he was verbally abused. Yet he entered the property without permission but they don't want to talk about that. They also lied to our property manager and the whole situation is not right. When me and my family treated Remington with nothing but kindness. Kudos to Mike and his assistant for doing a fantastic job getting rid of hornets and mud daubers along with their ugly nests. The powdered solution they applied under the roof/porch did the trick, keeping the bees from returning. The bee situation was horrible (Mike was stung coming to my door).
