I have been getting my toes done by Kathy here for over a decade. She is meticulous, detailed, and takes her time. She does such a great job that my pedicures last 8-10 weeks without so much as a fleck of gel coming off. She is pleasant and quiet, and also extremely kind. Their service is good, and they're super nice and clean. But I got my nails done (acrylics) and I thought they were gonna be so cute since the person doing my nails was filing a lot. But they came out thick, kind of weird shaped and it's curved. not how I wanted them to turn out and I paid $70 DOLLARS. If you're getting long acrylics then i recommend to go to another place. !! My daughter had such a great experience here the first time that she insisted on coming back here. The elderly lady who did her nails managed to more than double the price of her manicure. Plus $15 extra for the gel on the pedicure (after stating $5). She did a lovely job, but never stated price increases with each extra thing she added. She also told me that I was "too heavy" four times, even after I told her that I knew, that all heavy people know that they are too heavy. Anyhow, at tip time, she was clearly annoyed that she was only tipped based on the base price. Lots of rapid Vietnamese (I think) and a fair amount of going over numbers on the back of an envelope. Before this experience I would never have gone anywhere else. Now I will never go here again. read more

Heads up if you're looking for WHITE dip powder...their dips must be mixed up. I picked cotton white and this is what I ended up with. They look even more pink in person. I don't live here so I won't be going back but even if I did, not the best experience. read more

First... They won me over with doing my gel manicure separate from my pedicure. I was not rushed and they really took their time to make sure they were perfect. The other customers knew the employees by name, which says a lot of their repeat business. Second... Pokemon stop is right there, unlike the place across the street that says it is near a stop, but you can't reach it from inside. I'm glad I gave this place a try and will be returning. read more

So I came here based on the reviews and how close it was to my house. When I got there, there was a 30 min wait-which I opted to stay..again because of reviews. I forgot who did my deluxe pedicure but he did an amazing job..I almost fell asleep during my foot message. As for my nails he paid very attention to detail making sure my nails were shaped evenly. All in all I am definitely going back. The only down fall which i didn't take a star for was that they had limited colors but the color I chose was perfect. Maybe next time ill get a design and see how they do. read more

I've been to many different nail salons looking for a good pedicure and I've found it! Seriously, I'm older and especially in the summer my feet are really bad. They use a portable, electric Manipro (like the file they use on my nails) to smooth everything before they even start!! Other salons use that rough little yellow scrubber that may clean your feet but that's about it!!! I haven't found another nail salon that is as thorough or does the job they do here at Top Nails on Baseline @ Foothills. Give them a try. You will never go anywhere else! read more

I wish I could write two separate reviews. I came in for a mani/pedi on my birthday and most of the staff was very kind. The color on my toes lasted for weeks and I was very happy. However, the lady who did my nails rushed through and I had to ask her to go over them again. She was pretty annoyed and tried to tell me there is dust in the air and that's why the nails didn't look right... I left overall happy because my toes were great and my nails were fixed, but the manicure color only lasted 4 days. I was not happy at all. read more

Man, this is such a bummer. I had gone to Henry for a loooooong time and was so happy with the results. This place and Henry have always been my go to salon. I started doing my own nails to save $ so I haven't been to Top Nails in quite some time. I was too lazy to do my own nails this time around and set an appointment up with Henry. Got there and Michael (could be Thomas, either way this guy and his wife are the owners) did my nails. I specifically said I did not want the ends flared. My nail's lengths are uneven, they are shorter than I wanted, nail ends are flared and the ends are not perfectly horizontal. Trying to describe that I wanted the nails straight (again, not flared), I was told "that's as straight as I can do," which I didn't particularly appreciate. I declined any polish (so I could fix them when I got home). That should say a lot. Such a bummer!! Bring back Henry!!! Or tell me where he went so I can go to that nail salon! Everyone is really nice. Shop is clean but I am a little disappointed that I spent around 92.00 for gel mani and OPI spa pedicure and my gel nails are already peeling and chipping after 1 week! Probably won't be going back. I take extra care and wear gloves when I do dishes as well. I also just got around to this review, had my nails done Saturday afternoon and by Thursday they were peeling and chipping (5 days). read more

I hate to have to do this, but service has gone downhill as they have obtained more customers. All of the things I despise about other nail shops is now happening here, and I am once again on the hunt for a good nail salon. The manager attempted to use an electric nail file on my feet, which did not need it AT all, and is unsanitary!! When I make an appointment, mind you I have been a customer for a couple years now, I still have to wait then have multiple people working on me. The pedicures that I raved about in my last review have increased in price and decreased in quality. When the guys do my manicure they have to spend more time cleaning up polish from my skin than they do doing the actual manicure. 2 stars for good massage chairs, an ok selection of polish and clean equipment. read more

I went here for a year to Henry, who was amazing! I'm not sure what happened but they got rid of some of their best technicians and switched to super cheap gel polishes that only lasted a week. When Henry did my nails I could easily go a month and they still looked great. I had them done recently by a new woman and they were so bad I had to go back less than a week later to get a full gel fill. I thought I'd give them another shot since I was a loyal customer. They still broke two weeks later. Paying $45 twice in a week is not in my budget! Disappointed but found another great place locally that is cheaper and does a much better job. read more

I trusted the other 5 star ratings on here and I'm glad I did! I have to echo the other reviews about how meticulous they were with my pedicure. It never felt rushed and seemed that he cared about the end result, from trimming nails and callous removal to massage and painting. I felt like I really got what I paid for!! Total time spent on me for a deluxe pedicure - 1hr 20mins from start to dry. And speaking of price... Their basic pedi includes hot stones and hot towel. Most places you have to pay more for those. It was very clean and the massage chairs were pretty new so they worked really well. I will definitely come back here. read more

I've been going to various nail salons in the Roseville and Rocklin area over the past few years, and none of them ever stuck... some were worse than others, some were great, but none were as good as Top Nails and now I feel like I actually have a "home" nail salon. I'm not one who gets my nails done often... I get pedicures every couple of months, and a manicure on occasion but I think I'll be going in for manicures more often now because they made a huge improvement on the way my hands look and feel. I went in last week with feet and hands that were a mess, badly in need of some attention and in general, really unattractive. I was a little reluctant to go in because I didn't feel so great about them, but I thought getting a gel manicure would help keep me from messing with my cuticles and nails which I do when under stress. Ng (not sure if that is her name, but it sounded close) did my pedicure and she was so meticulous and careful, and took her time and I was actually in awe of how much better she made my feet look - even before polish! Peter did my gel manicure and he was also very meticulous, and gentle (I had some sore spots but nothing he did hurt). I can tell both of them took pride in doing a great job and give a lot of attention to the little details that make a huge difference in the end result. My gel manicure was perfect. I was so happy walking out of there! My toes also looked great, but most of all they felt really good. This isn't a quick pedi, I'm sure I was there for well over an hour (granted, they probably spent more time on me than the average customer), but it was great. Some of the staff do speak in their native tongue, and most also in English also, but all were super nice and respectful. I didn't feel uncomfortable, awkward or any sort of pressure. Everything was clean, and you can tell from observing that everyone there works very carefully and takes their time to do things right. read more

Definitely coming back to this place!!! Came in after reading the reviews on Yelp. I called 15 minutes ahead to see if I could get in and they sat me down as soon as I arrived. Kathy and Mike are awesome!! Mike did my gel polish mani and Kathy did my gel polish pedi. They both took their time and did a great job. My nails were even and the polish looked great. This is saying a lot because I'm SUPER OCD and pick the job apart. I cringe if it's not perfect. Everything looks great! Mike even massaged my forearms and hands during my manicure, which I've NEVER had another salon do. They have 75+ colors of gel to choose from, way more than any other salon I've been to. I always want gel, but am usually not too thrilled by the color selection. Not here!! They have just about anything you could want. I think I'm going to become a regular here. read more

I hate that I found this place, so far from where I live. My first experience here was when a friend and I went shopping at the galleria and on a whim, decided we wanted pedicures. We stopped in and were promptly seated at one of their comfy spas and given their menu of services. Because it was our first time here, we decided to get the basic pedicure which consisted of the usual services in addition to a hot stone massage, which I thought was a great deal. I've since been here one other time and I'm officially a fan. The staff is professional, aren't pushy about extra services and are generally friendly. They do speak Vietnamese around the customers though. Just an FYI for those that are put off by it. My foot and calf hot stone massages were amazing. I think this is the only salon I've been to where the foot massage actually relieved my sore feet and muscles. I'd definitely recommend Top Nails to anyone with some free time after a day of shopping. read more

I came here and was told to wash my hands and I noticed that there were only two brushes in the blue liquid container. So I took one and started scrubbing my nails then I started feeling my nails itchy! I looked closely at the brush and saw that it had mold and the other brush was so oxidized that it was dripping on the bristles! I asked them if they had clean brushes and the African Vietnamese lady said, "Yes, the clean brushes are the two brushes in the blue liquid and if you don't like it buy your own brush." Well I'm not impress with this place My friend and I was looking to a nice place to get our pedi and many done and we on Yelp and look for something close to my house and we come across this place so we decide it to give it a try. We called ahead to see if they have time for as and they schedule as in. Ok we got there and I got one of the guy to do my nails let me tell you I don't trust guys doing my nails so I was a little skeptical about let him do my nails. I'm very picky about my Look my nails my hair and all that I want perfection. Any way he had the hardest time to get the shape right for my nails and I'm still not happy I just want it the ballerina shape but they look so bad every single nail looks different shape weird. I don't know if I got the les experience person in the salon or what coz it took to get a fill 2hr witch normally takes 1hr Anyways I was very frustrate and I was ready to leave so I payed for it and I was out the door and me and my friend looked at each other and say we will never come here again. Think I FINALLY found a good nail place! First time here was a Saturday at about 6pm, they were pretty busy but said they'd take me anyway. Only had to wait about 10-15 minutes which I think is great for a walk-in. Elly was the one who actually did my nails and she did an awesome job. First time I've EVER been asked at a salon about shape, amount of white on the nails I like, ect., and that made a difference. She paid a lot of attention to detail and did a great job with the whole set without it taking long at all. Including the small wait in the beginning I was in and out in less than an hour. What really made the biggest impression on me however was when I came back two days later. The nail on my index finger didn't want to stay on and they fixed it right away no questions asked, and with no charge! Makes sense to me but a lot of salons these days wouldn't handle it that professionally. This salon gets 5 stars in my book and I will be back! read more

I went here for the first time today. I was planning on just getting a fill in the set of nails that I had but after discussing with the technician, Elle I decided to get a full set and I am so glad I did! Elle bright me back right away even though I did not have an appointment she was very knowledgeable of the new nail trends and helped me pick out a style that was new to me. A little sassy but not to over the top. She was very gentle when removing my previous set and my new nails are just beautiful!! I couldn't be more happy. I was not pleased when the first lady did my nails and my wife was getting stared at i really don't like that. Then a second lady came and helped me. She basically re did my nails all over, shaping filing, adding acrylic in some spots. I felt rushed and I don't like to be rushed when paying for services. I asked for the to be fixed and without hesitation they were. I am very happy with them and my wife and i's pedicure were amazing. They took there time and detailed, nice massage while they are doing them. I would recommend if you are particular let them know ahead of time. The 2 younger women are really amazing.
