This was my first time going to top nail. Wonderful experience the owner Michael did amazing. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he did it exactly and then went a step further and made it even better. This is the best set I've ever gotten in my life, I will definitely be going back.

I love supporting local small businesses. Aside from fueling local economies -- it really supports the livelihood of families within those local communities. Anyway, I'm in town for a few days with family and needed a quick manicure. I called for an appointment and arrived earlier than expected, and was seated immediately. My nail technician was meticulous and ensured I was satisfied every step of the way. He even triple checked that I was satisfied with the shape before proceeding. I was very happy that I was in and out in 40 minutes for a shellac manicure. These guys have a lot of pretty colors to choose from too. Cash only. No ATM on site so bring the greens. Walk-Ins are welcomed but appointments preferred. Friendly family running the shop. Support local!

I love getting my nails done at Top Nails! I come here pretty often. To those who are considering coming here - do it!! I've gotten many compliments on my nails since I've started coming here. Michael and T have been doing nails for more than 20 years and it clearly shows in their work. They are very gentle when it comes to fiberglass/acrylic nail removal and filing. They consistently apply the fiberglass in a way that is even, smooth, and not too thick or thin. I never have a problem with lifting, which is nice because I like to get fills. Also just a heads up: cash is the preferred and recommended method of payment here!

For my acrylic nails, I asked for thin, natural nails with a very difficult design and Michael did an excellent job! This guy mutilated my feet. Every toe he cut the skin to bleeding. On my big toe, he pulled the nail all the way down the side and it bled like crazy and he just said "oh, does it hurt?" Hate to see if I'm going to get an infection now. Not one nail was evenly filed. Just a mess. Not even 2 minutes rubbing my legs. Spent more time cleaning his station. Was in and out in 20 minutWaste of time and money AND it was the worst pain and pedicure I ever had.

They were so great! I walked in wanting to get my nails done spontaneously and they took me right in! Michael did an excellent job! Gentle, making sure it's the correct length and shape that I wanted and they do cash and card! They looks so good and I appreciate them so much!

Michael is always on it. He always gives me exactly what i want. Whether my style doesn't suit your own particular taste, j can tell you that Michael is extremely capable and does such good work. I'm always so happy with what he gives me. When I came in he informed me that he had a whole bunch of new colors and powders. I selected 144 (natural) and 78 (black sparkle) for my look today. Went here for my first time, very nice staff, very clean place. My nails looked great at first but within a couple days the gel polish had chipped very bad. That's never happened to me before. Unfortunately I may not come back, been better places. read more

This place is a little hole in the wall and even though it isn't the fanciest setup, the atmosphere is great and so is the wonderful work they do. The staff treats you like family and it seems they have a lot of regulars; very personable. Just keep in mind it is CASH ONLY. read more

I was referred to Top Nails by another customer who is a regular customer of Theresa's. I went in to repair a broken nail and get a fill. I was assigned to Michael bc Theresa wasn't available. Michael began to repair my broken nail by lifting up on it with a pair of clippers and it was extremely painful. I told him it hurt and he responded "No it doesn't hurt." I told him it did and to stop. It was obvious he wasn't happy with my response. I told him I wanted the nail to be soaked off and not pulled off, to which he reluctantly complied. 1) I have a HUGE tolerance for pain, if something hurts it really does hurt. 2) I'm the customer, if I tell you to stop doing something that's uncomfortable to me, DO NOT TELL me I don't know what I'm talking about. The end result was fine, however my first impression of the shop and Michael were not. I would probably go back only as a last resort OR to see Theresa. read more

Although Michael did a fantastic job the surroundings were horrible. Toenail clippings all around the pedicure areas. It was awful. Michael had FaceTime with SOMEONE the entire time....it was annoying. Whoever was on the "other end" never stopped talking in native language...roosters in the background and even heard "potty time " and toilet flush on his FaceTime. Someone came in for a manicure and his wife said you have to wait until I finish eating...I sat there watching her eat. I wanted acrylic fill..got fiberglass....more money. This place is unsanitary.... my thought...where are health inspectors. read more

I will not give this nail salon any stars. When I first walked in the lady was asleep on the couch wow what kind of businesses is this I should have walked out at that time. When I asked them to cut my ingrown toe nails they did but they also cut my skin and now I have 2 big toes infected I paid $30 including tip for this. I had to buy some medicine for my big toes. Also my heels are still a little rough...I will never ever come back. I was on vacation and was really looking for a little time to myself yeah all I got was infected toes........ the only reason I'm giving one star is because they won't let me go to the next level to post this read more

The shops staff is not very friendly and when my mom and I walked in they said they could only take one of us. No explanation other than they could only take one. Not a great way to get new customers as we are new to the area and looking for nail salons. read more

Michael does amazing work!! I had a full set of acrylics put on elsewhere and was not happy with how they turned out. Michael took them off and started over from the beginning. He made sure to ask if he was hurting me during the removal of the previous set. He took his time with the new set and made sure they were perfect. They do not look too thick at all & they look exactly how I wanted them to. He was so nice, really did a fantastic job and it did not cost me a small fortune. I will be returning to his salon for my nails!! read more

I selected this nail salon based upon the good reviews. Although I was quite disappointed. I went for a spa pedicure and manicure, the nail technician kept looking at the clock the whole time. The manicure was painful and he didn't even soak my hands or massage them. I had selected the gel polish which is supposed to last longer than polish. It completely peeled off on the third day. What a waste of $55 read more

I am thrilled to have a nail tech that can consistently provide a quality product. Michael is awesome and his wife is also talented. This is a family run business, where the customer is quoted a fair price and receives a superior product in return. I have had gel nails applied approximately every other week. My nails consistently last well until my next appointment. I believe this is due to the excellent workmanship of the artists in this salon. read more

So, I wanted to try some place new as the salon I have been going to has just not made the grade lately. So, I tried Top Nails. I called this afternoon and made an appointment for a full set at 5:45 pm. I got right in and was happy to see a clean shop with a calm atmosphere. Michael was very pleasant and attentive. He did an amazing pink and white full set in just over 30 minutes. There was one customer before me who seemed very pleased with the service she received and the customer after me told me I have come true the best manicurist in town! I have to agree! The best nail salon in the county, as well as the most reasonably priced. Michael is very talented.and highly detail-oriented. As well, he is by far the most gentle and solicitous nail tech that I have ever patronized. I recently had my first full mani-pedi with him and it was by far the nicest pedicure I've ever had. I was incredibly stressed out before a major event and he helped me to relax so much that I fell asleep in the chair! He even came up with a special nail design for that occasion. I asked to have a pedicure at this husband and wife salon. "Mike" began to do my pedicure. On the second foot he cut my big toe with a very sharp instrument. I let it go with an "ouch", He shortly after that cut me again ! I told him to stop and that I was done . I walked out of this place limping and bleeding. I highly recommend Top Nails! T and her husband Michael are really lovely people. They are located at Jackson Creek Plaza in Jackson Ca. I went in for a Mani/Pedi after traveling and desperately needed a serious cleanup and polish. I was so very excited when I walked in and found the place extremely clean and all tools were sanitized. My delight at seeing the foot bath massage chair was equally appreciated. I just wanted to sit quietly and relax and get a massage. Michael gave me my Pedicure and took great care of my very challenging feet and toes, and the best part was the the foot and leg massage that went with it. Too many times I have longed for the massage part of the Pedicure and it was typically quick and not very satisfying. This time it was the perfect care, pressure and length of time I was grateful to receive while the massage chair took care of my back and shoulders. T did my nails and hand arm massage and is very funny and detail oriented. They have been in business for 20 years have two lovely boys and work as a family unit, wanting the very best future for their two sons. They put pride in their business. If you decide to go to Top Nails for services you get quality special treatment for a more than generous price. There was no nickel and diming, no pushy upsells, no gossiping or side eye glances to other workers. None of that! Jessica was easy to talk to without being overly chatty. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing. Being my first time here I was observing their workflow and on top of getting my full set done in less than 45 minutes she also politely acknowledged other customers as they came in and even answered a call. She's a salon rockstar for sure. She handled all the business, was a delight to sit with, and my nails came out perfect. Her French tips were also effortlessly hand painted with no guides or tapes and she perfectly matched my nail bed color to my skin tone with no questions asked. She's excellent. I've never had such a well executed finished product. Out the door my set was $70 which was cheaper than the hot mess of a job I got at another salon in town (who tried to charge me extra for prepping my cuticles). I'm still shocked. Highly, HIGHLY recommend giving them a try. I'm delighted I did!

I was initially told I would receive a refund or credit, but was later told that they looked much better after they were "fixed" that they would give me a certificate for a basic pedicure. The video attached shows what they look like "fixed" which look better than when they were initially done but there is no coming back from the damage of the over filed side wall. I've included photos and a video so you can see the issues for yourself. I'm not someone who is overly picky, but this experience and the final result were not acceptable. I won't be returning.

I'm a regular customer at Top Nails. My favorite thing about them is that they always take their time to make sure your nails are done right. I've been to only one other nail salon in the county and it felt like they were in a rush to get the nails done and I was left with raw skin around my nails, but definitely not at Top Nails. I went to Michael for a pedicure and full set. I LOVE him. He's very meticulous and really takes his time. The whole place has a very relaxed feel. Other places seem very rushed and are constantly trying to upsale. I also didn't have to mention the little "fixes". Once he saw anything askew, he fixed it. As long as I live in amador county, I will go to Michael at Top Nails. If I ever leave, I'd still probably go see Michael. read more

I can't stop looking at my toes!! Michael did such an amazing job - my toes looked beautiful before he even applied the polish! They were super friendly, stayed open late for me (and didn't rush my pedicure, either), charged a more than fair price and, did I mention my toes!! On top of it all, it's a family business - three generations working together! I'll never go anywhere else. Highly recommend. read more

I've been getting my nails done here for 4 years now. They are the best. They listen and remember just what my preferences are. My acrylics are not too thick and rarely break.
