She has gone to this salon (Martell Nails & Spa) and this nail technician many times before and has always been happy with her results, which makes this experience even more disappointing. After getting an acrylic set in April, she immediately noticed some issues. One of the nails was extremely curved and looked noticeably off when her hand was flat, and the paint on the tips was uneven and bumpy. About two weeks later, her index fingernail started lifting on one side, causing the acrylic to sit crooked. As the nails grew out, she attempted to remove them but found that they were incredibly difficult to take off. Even after more than a month, several nails were still stuck on very tightly. During the removal process, one of the nails ripped off and caused her finger to bleed. She was eventually able to remove most of the set, but the thumb nails were so strongly attached that she couldn't get them off even after having the set on for well over a month. It's unfortunate because she has been a repeat customer and has had positive experiences in the past. However, this set had obvious quality issues from the beginning and ended up causing pain and damage during removal.

The shaping is uneven (my pinky is visibly crooked), and a significant amount of my natural nail was filed down on one side. My nails are still sore after the appointment, which shouldn't happen. I was initially told I would receive a refund or credit, but was later told that they looked much better after they were "fixed" that they would give me a certificate for a basic pedicure. The video attached shows what they look like "fixed" which look better than when they were initially done but there is no coming back from the damage of the over filed side wall. I've included photos and a video so you can see the issues for yourself. I'm not someone who is overly picky, but this experience and the final result were not acceptable. I won't be returning.

They had a walk in brow wax so the woman got up, didn't wash her hands , and went straight to touching the customers face so I hope she washes her face right away. Didn't even notice there's polish all over my toes and even on the side and under my toes until I got home. Polish missing on some areas. Hair stuck in polish. Now I have to go take the polish off and do it myself. My daughter got a manicure that lasted about 8 minutes and it didn't include the lotion massage or hot towel wrap that it stated on their services menu. But of course they charged me full price for that. Gave me attitude because I didn't want gel even though I explained to her multiple times why i don't like gel. Didn't ask what scent we wanted for our deluxe pedicures but I heard her asking other customers. My daughter tried talking to her and she would just ignore her. This is by far the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. Very upset that I paid them $140 for this

Every time I try a new Salon I always ask for an appointment with the owner. I do this because he/she should be the best in the shop! And the one who sets the standards. So, I got an hair cut/color appointment within the week~with the owner Christina. I was welcomed right when I walked in & I felt the good vibe in the air!~I knew this would be good. I said "do what ever you want". We looked at some cool colors & talked about haircuts that would be good for my face shape, etc. She's the pro. I am not~lol. Oh~her shop is super cute & a little cool rustic vibe going on. The other gal in another review talked about the shampoo sink~She's right~it's comfy on your neck! Such a find for both style and color - I Love My New Hair!! Fine thin hair has been a challenge for me always. Add color (I'm graying, people!!), and my hair is thinning. I discovered Christina via Yelp, and I was not let down. She has a salon close by (Martell) that is clean, lovely and welcoming, and Christina is a wizard with color! Have been going to this salon for about a year. With shorter hair, I'd requested HC, color touch up and highlights on my first visit. On my first visit I found Christina the owner/operator to be knowledgeable and careful with all segments of my visit. (We'd moved from Bay Area so I was a little nervous at first to try a new salon). Christina listens to her clients and completes all services professionally and cheerfully. Not only is she a fun lady, I trust her to listen to my style requests. I have been looking for a go to hair stylist for a while and am so glad to find Christina! She really listened to what I wanted and to the concerns in trying a new hairstyle. She was honest and upbeat the entire time of my appointment apart from it being late and her having a long work day. I had my hair done yesterday by katelyn, cut and color. She is wonderful. She listened to me and my problem with my hair and instead of fighting with it and trying to make it do something it couldn't do she worked with it. She didn't push me to do anything I wasn't comfortable with and the end result was beautiful. There seems to be a pattern and motivation to take as many walk-ins as they can and are not mindful of the customer's schedules.
