Every time I try a new Salon I always ask for an appointment with the owner. I do this because he/she should be the best in the shop! And the one who sets the standards. So, I got an hair cut/color appointment within the week~with the owner Christina. I was welcomed right when I walked in & I felt the good vibe in the air!~I knew this would be good. I said "do what ever you want". We looked at some cool colors & talked about haircuts that would be good for my face shape, etc. She's the pro. I am not~lol. Oh~her shop is super cute & a little cool rustic vibe going on. The other gal in another review talked about the shampoo sink~She's right~it's comfy on your neck! Such a find for both style and color - I Love My New Hair!! Fine thin hair has been a challenge for me always. Add color (I'm graying, people!!), and my hair is thinning. I discovered Christina via Yelp, and I was not let down. She has a salon close by (Martell) that is clean, lovely and welcoming, and Christina is a wizard with color! Have been going to this salon for about a year. With shorter hair, I'd requested HC, color touch up and highlights on my first visit. On my first visit I found Christina the owner/operator to be knowledgeable and careful with all segments of my visit. (We'd moved from Bay Area so I was a little nervous at first to try a new salon). I have been looking for a go to hair stylist for a while and am so glad to find Christina! She really listened to what I wanted and to the concerns in trying a new hairstyle. She was honest and upbeat the entire time of my appointment apart from it being late and her having a long work day. I have been getting my nails done by Laurie Doss for some time now. She has a beautiful personality and is a wonderful nail tech. I have followed her from her last salon. I had my hair done yesterday by katelyn, cut and color. She is wonderful. She listened to me and my problem with my hair and instead of fighting with it and trying to make it do something it couldn't do she worked with it. She didn't push me to do anything I wasn't comfortable with and the end result was beautiful. Katelyn was super general and not roughy at all. She gets to know you and makes things very interesting while doing your hair. I got a trim from her and I love my hair cut! No one ever got what I told them to do and messed it up but the thing with Katelyn is she understands and clarified what you want before she starts cutting! read more
