I'd recommend Ava, she is the nicest person you'll ever meet, she'll ask you questions about you and overall make good conversation with you. She would ask if you're doing okay and offer to get you some water which is good customer service! She did my mom's and aunt's hair and now mine and our hairs turned out to be amazing! im pretty sure all of the other hairstylist are also amazing! Tangle Salon came highly recommended and so I did my research. I found that Alyssa specialized in brunettes so I made an appt. Since moving to Amador it was important I find a great hairstylist close by. Alyssa is great. The salon is very clean, the other stylists are friendly, and as you walk through the door, you're met with a smile. I also get my brows waxed and tinted by Rachael and she's just the best and very professional and came highly recommended. There's also a nail artist on site but I've not made an appt yet, but I def will soon. She's highly recommended by many people I've come across. I'm extremely upset ... after having to wait 6 months to supposedly get the desired color I wanted (silver/grey), I came out of there darker than what I went in with. I'm never going back! To add insult to injury I didn't even get the cut I want, the stylist stating she wasn't good at short haircuts. I might add that in the 2 appointments I had there I'm down almost $400.00!! I highly recommend Andrea not only because she's such a sweetheart but because she definitely knows what she's doing, I remember the first time I got my hair done by her she exactly gave me what she wanted, I went back a few months later and changed my hair again and she again pleased me with what I wanted, she takes good care of her costumers and recommends what is best for your hair.. Over the years I've had many changes to my hair and have always had a hard time finding a stylist that could do what I asked for. I've gone to Marci (the owner) and Kendall at Tangle and they both are AMAZING. My hair has never look so good and they all strive to keep it healthy too. Beware of this place! My husband purchased a gift certificate for me to this salon back in July-August (2016) and we went today to ask for a refund as I had contacted Jayme to set up an appointment for a pedicure/manicure. She notified me that she was booked and will be gone for 3 weeks as her wedding was approaching in September. I congratulated her on her wedding and to let me know of a soonest available date and time and for her to have an awesome honeymoon. She never responded and I showed her the text I saved on my phone as a proof. Now it's end of November and I'm now expecting and had just moved almost 2 hours away. My husband and I had expressed that we would like a refund since she never responded and I have no use for the certificate. I don't dye, put chemicals on my nails, etc while expecting. I know there are a lot of ladies who do this while pregnant, however, I am obviously not one of them! Doctor and midwife says it does affect the baby. On top of that, I just saw a brand new newborn in there! And the room was full of fumes (I was trying not to breathe it)! And what I don't appreciate is the comments from them saying that they don't see it being a problem- well... I care about myself and the child I'm carrying! They tried to offer an alternative to cover the cost of the certificate; offering hair products etc, I don't use those products that they have (I get my products- all natural/'none to less' chemical elsewhere), in order to avoid refunding the gift certificate. I'm beginning to wonder who they really are since they don't have a business posted through Yelp (until I had to set it) only on Facebook where they can erase comments. If you plan going there don't get a gift certificate! Pay at your appointment! I cannot speak of their service as this was going to be my first 'service' with them. read more

Do not go there! I asked for a trim and color. (My hair was barely shoulder length so only needed a trim.) The girl scheduled so many clients, she over processed the color because she tried to fit a hair cut in the middle of my appointment. Then she told me I had to pay cash or by personal check. They couldn't except bank or credit cards. Who does that nowadays, are we living in 1960? It also would have been nice to know in advance since I was charged "$140.00" for this horrible experience. Yes $140.00 for a trim and color. It has been several months and I am still trying to get my hair to feel and look healthy again. read more
