The only downside to all of this, is I was wearing a fairly new suit that had been in range of snow and road grime from the spinning tire. So I began to consider my local dry cleaning options. I had used another dry cleaner in the area before, and while they did a good job, I felt that they were a little overpriced. Apple Cleaners being closer then any other place to wear I lived, received the first look during my investigation. This place got off to a really good start by offering coupons on their website (so check that out). I was able to get a $9 coupon off my bill for a 2 piece suit. Securing that deal I decided that Apple was worth a shot. Now this place is in a strip mall, and it is a dry cleaners, so I was expecting a bare sterile looking place when I walked in. This place is decorated nicely on the inside, which was an unexpected nice touch. I did go in on a Monday after the holidays, early in the morning to drop off my suit, and the place was busy. The line was 4 people deep when I walked in and only one person (there are two kiosks) working the desk. She did seem really annoyed when she saw me walk in, maybe the first day back from a long break was to blame but it wasn't very welcoming. She took my suit and my coupon and gave me my date to come pick it up, which was 3 days later. She explained that there was a longer wait, because they were backed up losing working days to the holidays. Went back when my suit was ready for pickup. New person working the desk, the place was empty, but it didn't stop her from giving me a very un-welcomed vibe when I walked through the door. I presented my pickup ticket and she quickly got my suit. They had done a great job and everything looked to be fine. The coupon left my remaining bill in the steal category so I was pretty happy about that. I would not hesitate to use Apple Cleaners again, especially with the coupons offered. This would of been a 5 star review though if it hadn't been for the service. We don't have to be best friends, but please don't give me the impression that I am ruining your day by being there.

They offer 3 sizes of machines depending on your load capacity. No cash, no problem. They have an App to use to pay for washers and dryers which is super convenient. This is the only dry cleaner in town so they are busy. And since they no longer do their dry cleaning in-house, the turn around time is a little longer but I've had good experiences with no issues. I really like the drop off wash and dry services they offer. I've taken several large blankets/quilts to have washed and dried with same day service. I DO keep track of my $250 silk pants from Eileen Fisher. I would never wash them. I kindly asked if the owner wanted to keep a customer and pay for the shirt and pants. -- He said 'they had no record of the pants - ' duh! because they lost them. Quality cleaning but bad attitude service. Why 3 stars? They do a pretty good job on dry cleaing clothes. In fact, I've got a few shirts that are rayon or linen and have wooden buttons which are apparently difficult to service (I was lectured on this by one of the employees!) but they do a great job pressing and cleaning them. 4 or 5 stars for quality of work. But.... Service - you are greeted by multiple signs upon entering the counter area; all of them telling you in no uncertain terms what you can and can't do. These signs don't mince words nor do they set the right tone for the customers. For instance, if you don't have your reciept in hand, get the heck out of the way so others can be serviced. Bradford (previous review) already alerted you that they won't take your plastic cards -bring cash! And don't you dare offer them a coupon when you return to pick up your finished clothes - you must give them upfront when dropping off laundry. One of my favorites is the tatered and old sign warning you of a "severe hanger shortage" (meaning they want you to give them unused hangers). Severe? Really? You should see our closets. Also, why can you buy these for so cheap at Dollar stores if there is such a shortage? Lastly, if you don't have your ticket (and I'm sure we've all misplaced them at one time or other) - "NO SHIRTS FOR YOU!" Seriously, this was pretty much the attitude I got on a recent visit. Sigh....I had to go back home and come again the next day. My wife likes their work (and I do to an extent) or I wouldn't put up with their attitude. She asked what she could do to make it right. I could tell she really cares about her business and customers, as well as the quality of work they produce. I explained that there wasn't much because of how altered they both were but instead, to make sure her parents fully understood what the customer was wanting and not to be afraid to say no if they couldn't actually do it. She agreed and again, couldn't have been more apologetic. This was a learning lesson for both parties and I know how to move forward. In the beginning, she asked if she could give me a refund. I declined at first because I wasn't seeking one but instead, was really hoping something could be done about my clothes. After a few phone calls, I decided I'd go ahead and take it. Prior to this, It had been a while since I've brought something to them but because this was handled so professionally, I'll continue using them but for dry cleaning only. The dress was pretty clean but the bottom was pretty dirty from our outdoor wedding. Their service was excellent. They got it cleaned and packaged up in box within two weeks of dropping it off there. The communication they provided was excellent. They even sent a text message when the dress was ready for pickup. The quality of work was well worth the cost. The dress cleaning and preservation was $260 then they offered two size boxes. The medium box was $80 and the large box was $100. My wife's dress luckily fit into a medium box so I walked away with an out the door price of $360. I was not aware until I picked it up that the box I purchased came with a window so that you could still see the dress while keeping it packaged up and looking nice! I would highly recommend this place for all your dry cleaning needs and especially if you're looking to have your wedding dress preserved. My rating : BEST

I took it to Prime Service Cleaners in O'Fallon, always my family's go-to cleaner, and walked in with it. They immediately told me what I had already guessed; there was little chance this dress could withstand what it would take to clean it even if it were even possible to clean it. It would take a miracle. But the process was most likely to simply destroy the dress due to its delcate fabric and tassles. I asked them to try anyway and signed the release form. Today, we picked up that dress and to say I was positively stunned would be the understatement of the century. This dress now looks near-perfect, like a true museum piece. I can't even comprehend what took to make this piece come back to life. So thank you, thank you, thank you for your truly amazing masterful preservation of a family treasure.

When she did start talking, I wanted to go back in time to when she was ignoring me because she was so hateful and rude.
