They weighed my items, took my contact info, and I paid with my credit card. I got a text letting me know that my order would be ready the next day, and early the next day I received another text saying that it was ready for pickup! I'm torn with how I feel about laundromats..On one hand I feel they can be a bit pricey but I love them on the other hand because you can complete all of your laundry nearly at one..Plus you can wash huge loads. I've passed by this location for years but decided to give it a try when I needed to clean a huge King sized mattress topper. They have machines that can hold up to six loads at once. It costs $12 but the dryers are free so I guess it's not too bad. They have change machines onsite as well as detergent machines..It's much more cost effective to bring your own. If you need to use a debit card for change their is a $1.50 fee so I highly advise against it. This location also has a drop off service for your laundry needs read more

Traveling for work and our hotel has no laundry room, so I ended up here. I loved the neighborhood and the lady working was so nice. $4.50 to wash and free dryers, so I walked around the lovely Soulard neighborhood and got a coffee. I will be coming back while we are here. Right away, the owners greeted me and showed me all of the options of industrial washers and dryers, (drying is capital FREE, by the way. That's right, FREE. They have industrial sized washers for any size load... double, triple, AND a supersized $12 load for one stop easy quick wash. You can hang out. Or, for extra, you can just drop off your laundry and it will be separated and washed, and dried, to your specifications. They have old school arcade machines, plus everything you would expect from a laundromat, but the options and service set them apart from any and all competitors. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt so welcomed by the owners. They were so kind and helpful. They have an option to drop your clothes off and they will wash and fold them for you for a fair price. When I went to pick up my clothes, one of the ladies that works there, Charlene, had organized my clothes so nicely and my nursing scrubs and jackets were hung up (I didn't even ask them to do that.) I will not recommend this place to ANYONE. I live in the area and I come sporadically to wash my comforters. I have never seen this older couple before. I sat there counted my change loaded up the machines and it started to take my quarters. I expressed my concern to the older lady and she said that's not possible, instantly. She looked at me as if I lied to her. I explained to her that it did and she through her hands up and said, oh well. Follow up, baby! While waiting to prepare my 100th review, I thought that I might do a necessary follow up for Soulard Soap. Laundry Day has become a Monday tradition, and we have become regulars of this establishment. When we first started coming here, we chose poor times to do our laundry, sometimes Sunday (which is the worst!). Monday night seems to work just right, and it has allowed us to become familiar with the owners. The couple that run this place are wonderful, perhaps two of the nicest people that we've met since our arrival in Soulard. After retirement, they purchased Soulard Soap and turned it into a vital part of the area. We like to make an evening out of our Laundry Day, so we set up the washer and wander about 9th Street, usually settling on iTap or Epic PIzza. We only need to poke our heads in once to put our load in the driers, and the owners tend to monitor the timers for us. The driers only run for ten minutes at a time. This allows us to have some quality time outside of the laundry mat and makes Monday Night Laundry a smashing success! Perhaps this isn't the most informative follow up, but just check out my first review. Great place! Anyone in the Soulard area without a washer/drier hook up should patronize these people. My partner and I are doing a trip across America and came here after seeing previous good reviews. We were a bit nervous about trying a laundromat because we had no idea what we were doing but the owners are so friendly and helpful, the man (whose name I didn't get) talked us through how to get change, the soap was in a little dispenser machine and they checked in on us the whole time to make sure we were alright. Machines are fast and only $6 for a triple load washer - then the dryers are free! Lovely business you should definitely use if in St Louis. read more

The couple who manage and own the business are great people but honestly I got tired of being asked for money and food by the homeless people loitering on the steps and sitting on the bench near the front door. I am writing this review solely on my experience with the dry-cleaning experience I had. I arrived on a Friday mid-morning to drop off some items that needed to be dry-cleaned. The place itself was packed with customers and almost all washers/dryers were full so I could tell this was a good spot to be since there were a lot of customers. I went to the counter and there was someone ahead of me standing there. After about 3 minutes I asked him if he had been helped and he said that he hadn't. Neither of us knew what to do, so we just continued to wait. After about 5 minutes we finally had someone approach the counter to help us, but she didn't acknowledge us. Just helped another customer and walked away. She did return momentarily afterwards and proceeded to help the man before me. He was picking up items so that didn't take too long. When it was my turn she walked away again (without saying anything) and then after a few minutes returned again. I guess there were some issues with the machines or something. Anyway, I dropped off the items I needed dry-cleaned and I asked for a receipt and a day/time for pick-up. She seemed irritated and annoyed which kind of upset me since I had been waiting for a while to get service. I did pick up the items the next weekend and they were done accurately, but again, the service was not very great. I think this is a good place for washing/drying, but I don't think the dry cleaning service is anything I would return for. It's sad to write a 2 star review for a business in my own neighborhood, but I guess it's appropriate given my experience. read more

Nice people running it Free drying Able to go grab Bogarts after starting the wash (brought back and ate there) The offer express washes with faster wash and dry times by using high-speed spinning. I found myself jealous of the guy that was able to get in and out quicker than me. having the dryer die on us, I needed to start using a laundromat again, I knew of Soulard Soap from when I was dating someone that lived in the area. I like this laundry because its clean, and not full of obnoxious people like so many of them are. I usually arrive early in the morning and wash time is an hour then I am out of there. They have regular washers, and front loaders and my favorite the 40 lb washers where I can wash everything at one time. drying is included as long as you washed your clothes there. the average wash cost is 3.25 per load, and the 40 lb washers cost you 7.00 but you get to wash an insanely large amount of clothes.. total satisfaction and good customer service can be found at Soulard Soap, i know I sure have become a regular washer there.. read more

I can get a full laundry hamper done for about $13 -- which saves me the hour or two of sitting around the laundromat, as well as ensures my clothes get folded or hung nicely. Let's start by stating I was very new to St. Louis and never been to a laundromat. I looked for places to go and with these reviews I chose this one and I definitely don't regret it! The lady working there was very helpful, not nice or at least doesn't smile but didn't mind helping when asked....and OH DID I ASK. Another woman doing her laundry helped me and was so kind! I can not say I had a bad experience and would definitely come back! I used a big washing machine and was able to wash all my clothes and a blanket at the same time, not into doing different loads, for 7.50. Drying is free but of course they run for only 10min and you have to restart it. Washing took about 30min and drying about another 30. Very quick!! read more

Here is what you should know. Washing is a bit expensive (even overpriced). It ranges from $3.25 for one top load wash to $7.00 for a 4-load washer. I used the 3 load $5.00 express wash and just stuffed it to the brim with clothes. Drying is free for those who wash. According to the signs it costs $2.00 to dry for not using washers. They dryers are huge so I was able to throw my 3 load washes into them with no problem. It took just about 20 minutes to dry. Overall, I would recommend this place for folks who can sacrifice price for time because it only took me about 2 hours to wash, dry, and fold. I probably will still explore other places that are more reasonable, but they also have the drop service option. This is where you drop off your laundry, they wash everything and fold it for you (no detergent/fabric softener, or dryer sheets needed). It's $0.95 per pound. A man dropped off a few loads when I was in the middle of my wash. The woman working there was drying the clothes the guy dropped off by the time I was folding mine. So that gives an idea of how fast the service is. Wifi worked well too. You don't need a password or anything. You will get better reception if you are in the back of the laundromat (closer to the dryers) then at the front where there is actually a table to sit. I was able to stream youtube videos with no problem. Free street parking as well. Hope this helps! read more

Washing machines are plentiful and come in several different capacities of varying prices. All are express-wash and take only around 20 minutes. Drying is free with the wash. The only drawback that prevents me from giving five stars is that you can't alter the dry time: you either dry in 10-minute increments, or not at all. Service is friendly, there are vending machines, and seating is plentiful. It's a comfortable place to spend an hour doing laundry. read more
