I was contacted by the owners daughter,Michelle, who apologized profusely and was adamant about making it right. I explained how disappointed I was because when I dropped off the garments, there was no mention about having to replace the fabric of the belt loops or completely altering the back of the skirt where the zipper was. She asked what she could do to make it right. I could tell she really cares about her business and customers, as well as the quality of work they produce. I explained that there wasn't much because of how altered they both were but instead, to make sure her parents fully understood what the customer was wanting and not to be afraid to say no if they couldn't actually do it. She agreed and again, couldn't have been more apologetic. This was a learning lesson for both parties and I know how to move forward. In the beginning, she asked if she could give me a refund. I declined at first because I wasn't seeking one but instead, was really hoping something could be done about my clothes. After a few phone calls, I decided I'd go ahead and take it. Prior to this, It had been a while since I've brought something to them but because this was handled so professionally, I'll continue using them but for dry cleaning only. Michelle, thank you for your kindness and empathy you displayed in trying to remedy this situation. read more

I was looking for a place to clean and package up my wife's wedding dress as an anniversary gift to her. I came across this place when I was googling. The dress was pretty clean but the bottom was pretty dirty from our outdoor wedding. Their service was excellent. They got it cleaned and packaged up in box within two weeks of dropping it off there. The communication they provided was excellent. They even sent a text message when the dress was ready for pickup. The quality of work was well worth the cost. The dress cleaning and preservation was $260 then they offered two size boxes. The medium box was $80 and the large box was $100. My wife's dress luckily fit into a medium box so I walked away with an out the door price of $360. I was not aware until I picked it up that the box I purchased came with a window so that you could still see the dress while keeping it packaged up and looking nice! I would highly recommend this place for all your dry cleaning needs and especially if you're looking to have your wedding dress preserved. My rating : BEST read more

Olive Cleaners - My wife's wedding dress - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - St. Louis, Missouri

Olive Cleaners did a great job cleaning and packaging up my dress after my wedding! The bottom of the dress was basically black after my wedding day, and they made it look brand new. I love that they have the option to preserve it in a box with a window so you can see the dress while still keeping it packaged up and looking nice. They had the service done exactly on time with when they quoted me, and communicated that it was ready for pick up over text which was really convenient. read more

Would absolutely recommend Olive Cleaners for wedding dress preservation and suit cleaning! She was wonderful to work with and even sent a video of my dress cleaned before starting the preservation. I had spray tan, tajin and dirt stains on my dress and she got every bit of it out! Very affordable and reasonable turnaround time. read more

Olive Cleaners is the best! I did a lot of research trying to find someone who could sew my heavy curtain panels together, and I'm so glad I found Linda. She did an amazing job--the stitching is incredibly neat, and you can tell she really takes pride in her work. She finished everything quickly, was so kind and professional throughout the process, and was incredibly generous with her pricing. I actually had to insist that she charge me more because the quality of her work was absolutely worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to trust her with future projects and highly recommend Olive Cleaners. read more

After my wedding I was so worried that the stains wouldn't come out of my dress. I bought a wedding dress online from a bridal shop in LA that was a sample. I assumed it would arrive clean. It was not, and my wedding was two weeks away. I mean this thing was filthy where a million grungy hands had pulled it up by the cups and there was a huge tea stain on the skirt! While I had another dress, this is the one I wanted. Everywhere I called said it would be three weeks to clean it. Olive Cleaners rushed it for me and got it pristinely clean. It looked PERFECT. I highly recommend them! read more

I took my wedding dresses here to be cleaned and they did a phenomenal job! I will be returning in the near future.

I brought in my daughter's wedding dress to be cleaned. It took about a month , but I can NOT believe they got it clean!! Her dress was black on the bottom from dancing the night away on Broadway in Nashville after her reception. They made it look brand new. I have no idea how they did it, but I did not think it was possible to get that dress clean. It was soooo dirty on the bottom. Will absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to clean a wedding dress! Excellent work!! read more

Great service, quick, well priced, awesome local family vibes! Would recommend! Top notch dry cleaning and alterations.

Linda was so friendly and professional! She was able to expedite my husband's suit and get a stain off. She also preserved my heavy wedding dress and remove the stains as well. She was very communicative and even carried my boxed dress to my car. We will definitely come again and highly recommend! :) read more

Awesome dry cleaner! Always never had any issues with shirts/suits here. Very quick turn around, usually under a week. Highly recommend!

Wonderful job cleaning and storing my daughter's wedding dress. I especially appreciated the clear widow in the box which is then covered so the dress is protected from light. read more

I had my daughter-in-law's wedding dress cleaned and preserved. It was very dirty and was brought back to like new after cleaning. I received before and after pictures before it was preserved in the box. Wonderful service! read more

Based on other reviews, I took my daughter's wedding dress here to be cleaned and preserved. Disappointed by the service is an understatement. I paid $300 to clean it, and $80 to preserve it in a sealed box. They said it would take 2-3 weeks to clean. After three weeks, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called to check on it. I was told it wasn't ready and they would call me. When I said it's been over three weeks, she looked up my name and said "it will be done next week". Clearly, it had been forgotten about, so now it was going to be rushed. The FIRST time I picked up the dress (now a month later), it was preserved and sealed in the box. (I found out it odd that you can't see it and approve it before it's sealed up?) When I got home, I opened it up to check it. There was blood on one of the sleeves, and on her dress (which were not there when I brought it in, my daughter didn't bleed at any time). The top of the dress is pinned to cardboard, so I'm assuming that perhaps someone got stuck while pinning it, and it got on the dress. The bottom of her dress was also still filthy. I took pictures and returned it to be cleaned again. Another three weeks later, it was ready, but I was out of town. My husband went in to get it. We asked them NOT to box it until we could see it. He immediately noticed a new, blue line down the front of the dress. Linda at the desk tried to suggest it was there before, and was going to charge us to clean it again. After arguing with her for some time, she said she would clean it again at no charge. He took pictures and it was another three weeks to get it back. The third time I went to pick it up, it was better, but there are still some noticeable dirt marks on the bottom of her dress. However, I was not going to leave it with them again, even though I paid $300 for it. I'll be taking it somewhere else to finish it. Michelle, the owner, did reach out to me a few times to apologize and try to make it right, which I appreciated. But the whole experience was so stressful and frustrating, that I will not be returning there. It also seemed that the owner was not communicating with Linda at the shop. For example, Michelle said they would replace the preservation box for free for my trouble, but then I had to argue with Linda because she was going to charge me another $80 for it. If you have a wedding dress cleaned and preserved, please check it. You can't trust that it was done correctly. read more

I highly recommend Olive Cleaners for wedding dress cleaning! My daughter's dress had red wine on it and the bottom of the dress was black from dragging along the floor all evening after changing into different shoes at the reception. They were able to make it look like a brand new dress!!! It was also done quicker than expected and they insisted on helping me carry it to the car. Great customer service!!!! read more

Interesting comments regarding " Wash and Fold" at Olive Cleaners. I took two bags in last Friday. The woman at the desk opened the bags, counted the items and said $126. These were bed linens in each bag, one set and extra pillow cases in both. I asked why it was so high. She said oh you want "Wash and Fold"? I said of course why would I dry clean sheets. I was in the computer system so I told her to look and see when I last had it done'. She did not. I just walkied out and took my items. This was my first time there in three years. I won't be back. read more

They did an excellent job cleaning my daughters prom dress. She had some dirt and grass stains on the bottom and I didn't think they would come out. It was a little pricey to get cleaned, but I didn't mind to ensure it was properly cleaned and well taken care of. read more

Olive cleaners is my go-to place for dry cleaning and alterations. They have very high quality dry cleaning, efficient alterations with a reasonable price. They pay attention to detail and get every small stain removed whether I point it out or not. They are very proactive in communicating with me on any updates of my clothes. I like that they also text me when my orders are ready to be picked up, so there is one less thing for me to keep track. I can tell that they care about their service quality and customers. Plus, I always support family business. read more

I wore my wedding dress for a second time to celebrate an anniversary. I ran around outside in that dress for hours in the grass, on sidewalks, roads, etc. on a 100 degree, highly humid St. Louis summer day. It's a very good quality taffeta gown with multiple pleats, a layered skirt, and long train. Needless to say: very important and treasured by me. The woman (I presume owner) that I worked with did such a wonderful job cleaning my dress. She was able to remove sweat stains, grass stains, and black marks from the pavement to get my dress looking nearly as good as new. I think she even cleaned it better than when it was cleaned the first time after my wedding! My expectations were exceeded and I would definitely recommend this business. On top of all of it, the prices are more affordable than most and the staff are so nice. We have switched cleaners! Thanks for a great job and service! read more

I really like this place. I have used them twice now - once to clean my wedding dress & another time for a comforter. They do great work and they're fast & efficient. They have text alert service when your items are ready. The lady is so friendly & somehow remembered me from the first visit. I would definitely recommend them! read more

Dry cleaning at an affordable price, very clean, neat, and on time. Will definitely return!

I recently got married and my dress was trashed after hours of dancing barefoot and dredging sand everywhere from the beach. The dress has several intricate lace and satin components to the train, which made it seem like a nightmare to clean. OC made my dress look like new again. Very polite staff, excellent customer service, and they even cleaned my husband's suit for a reasonable price as well. Highly recommend. read more

They called to follow-up. I don't think we agreed about what happened, but they were open to feedback and refunded the disputed $10. I appreciate this level of customer service. I used their services for cleaning, steaming, pressing & boxing my wedding dress. To say it was so dirty was an understatement, we went hard on the dance floor. They got EVERYTHING out! My wedding dress was trashed after my outdoor fall wedding. The bottom had ripped from being outside and was covered in mud. Olive cleaners literally made it look brand new and repaired all of the tears. And they were way more affordable than the other cleaners in the region. Definitely recommend! read more

I've been using Olive Cleaners for about a year now. This is really the best cleaners in the Creve Coeur area. Last year when I first moved into the area, I was using another cleaner. But soon I was tired of seeing black stains and sometimes tears on my shirts that weren't there when I dropped them off. Then I tried a couple other cleaners, but none were mpressive. Finally, I found Olive Cleaners. The staff is very friendly and calls me by my first name. My shirts always come back clean and nicely pressed. More importantly, I feel they care about the customer's request. I have told all of the previous cleaners to keep my collar stays. But none of them did and I kept losing my collar stays. But, the lady at the Olive Cleaners went above and beyond - she puts my collar stays back into the collar for me. That has saved so much of time. I will continue to use them and I highly recommend this cleaner to anyone. read more

Olive Cleaners is the absolute best!!! I brought my wedding dress in to be cleaned and preserved without realizing I had left a pen and my checkbook in one of the pockets after paying our wedding vendors. However, Olive Cleaners was able to get the stain completely out and my wedding dress is back to perfect condition!!! I cannot recommend them enough-- they are amazing!!! It took me a long time to find a nice cleaner which can help with my white parka (it is a tough mission. Most of the places have less experience in handling it and it do require more attention). And this is why this parka in a horrible shape has been kept for a whole year since last winter. Luckily, we found Olive Cleaners. The owner was nice and professional. They returned it in an awesome condition and it was like I got a brand new one. Thank you! The only thing that I have to give additional common is if you have a costly parka, the cleanser fee gonna rise but it turns out to be worth. read more
