They get the job done. I trust them with my garments, not many options so it's a limited comparison.

With the ice and snow that hit the greater STL area before the holidays, I came upon a friend of mine stuck in the snow and at chance of sliding into a ditch. After helping direct her car, and providing a little extra weight to a slipping tire, we were able to rescue her car from most certain doom. The only downside to all of this, is I was wearing a fairly new suit that had been in range of snow and road grime from the spinning tire. So I began to consider my local dry cleaning options. I had used another dry cleaner in the area before, and while they did a good job, I felt that they were a little overpriced. Apple Cleaners being closer then any other place to wear I lived, received the first look during my investigation. This place got off to a really good start by offering coupons on their website (so check that out). I was able to get a $9 coupon off my bill for a 2 piece suit. Securing that deal I decided that Apple was worth a shot. Now this place is in a strip mall, and it is a dry cleaners, so I was expecting a bare sterile looking place when I walked in. This place is decorated nicely on the inside, which was an unexpected nice touch. I did go in on a Monday after the holidays, early in the morning to drop off my suit, and the place was busy. The line was 4 people deep when I walked in and only one person (there are two kiosks) working the desk. She did seem really annoyed when she saw me walk in, maybe the first day back from a long break was to blame but it wasn't very welcoming. She took my suit and my coupon and gave me my date to come pick it up, which was 3 days later. She explained that there was a longer wait, because they were backed up losing working days to the holidays. Went back when my suit was ready for pickup. New person working the desk, the place was empty, but it didn't stop her from giving me a very un-welcomed vibe when I walked through the door. I presented my pickup ticket and she quickly got my suit. They had done a great job and everything looked to be fine. The coupon left my remaining bill in the steal category so I was pretty happy about that. I would not hesitate to use Apple Cleaners again, especially with the coupons offered. This would of been a 5 star review though if it hadn't been for the service. We don't have to be best friends, but please don't give me the impression that I am ruining your day by being there. read more

Very disappointed with service. When I picked up my clothing, there were stains and the employees were very rude about it.

The staff here is really not very friendly. I am confused as to why it cost the same amount for me to get a skirt and button up shirt dry cleaned as it cost for my boyfriend to get three suits dry-cleaned and neither of us had a coupon. When I got my brand-new white Banana Republic button up collared shirt back it had a dingy yellow color...when I dropped it off at the cleaners it was bright white. The only reason I give this place two stars is because the facility always looks clean in the lobby area and it is in a convenient location that I frequently drive-by. read more

I have been using this cleaners for about 5 years. I will not be using then anymore. Today was the second time that they did not give me my coupon pricing. When you leave your cleaning you must give them your coupon, but they don't give you anything to confirm you are getting that price. If they lose your coupon or forget to put it with the order, your cleaning bill is full price which is about 50 percent higher. They will not take your word that you had a coupon. The staff was very unfriendly. I called Monday to get a quote for when a woman's suit would be finished and they ensured me it would be done Wednesday evening. I dropped it off to a very rude lady. Wednesday I went to pick it up and was told they weren't sure where it was and they "would try to find it". They send all their clothes out so I had to return the next day. The lady literally said one thing to me (the price) the entire time I was there. No hello, apology, or thank you. The only reason they get a star is the suit was decently cleaned. read more

My concern with this establishment is not that I had to return an article of clothing because the cleaners failed to remove the stain from the garment the first time around. Coffee stains can be problematic, especially on a seersucker suit. What is most problematic about my experience with this cleaners is that the staff has, of yet, lost half of the seersucker that needed to get re-treated. Most disenchanting is that no effective plan was communicated, nor immediate action was taken, in order to secure the lost article. Rather, some vague hope and apologies were offered that I would receive a phone call, and, best of all, my pants. Indeed, if the staff had checked the ticket describing my suit that was attached to the pair of pants they tried to give me, they would have soon realized that dark navy pants are obviously NOT the same as a traditional blue and white striped seersucker suit. This basic task of checking what the ticket says and what garment is actually attached to the ticket would have afforded the cleaners with several more days to scramble for the lost article of clothing before I had to point out their error. Such a basic check does not presuppose too much knowledge of the cleaners, since I would have hoped that the staff could have identified a basic style of suit. read more
