My wife and I have been going to this place for over 30 years. Recently, my wife dropped off a Ramy Brook dress and Hugo Boss dress pants (mine). When she went to pick them up, the dress had stains all over it, and the pants were shrunk by at least three inches. They were both clearly laundered, rather than dry cleaned. The owner, a man that is the nephew of the old owner, who recently retired, said they launder because clothes today are cheap and made in China. Both items were bought at Nieman Marcus and were worn one time on our vacation. The dress was made in Vietnam and the pants were made in Romania. When I said we come here to have our clothes dry cleaned, he said we don't get to decide that. He was very confrontational and just said sometimes mistakes are made. The dress was just over $600 and the pants were $225. He recleaned the dress, but it still have small stains on it. The pants are ruined. He would do nothing. If you have nice clothes and want them to stay looking good, DO NOT use Cardinal. It pains me to say that after 30 years, but they are awful. read more

Took in white Lululemon shirt and it came back pink! Was my husband's favorite shirt and we were leaving town the next morning. The business phone wasn't even set up to leave a message! HORRIBLE!!! read more

They certainly get things 'cleaned' quickly, but they have successfully ruined 1 $80 shirt and a $50 tie. Not worth the convenience, go elsewhere. They did offer to redeem themselves for free, but the items came came back with the new flaws, just as before. The main problem is spotting- my tie had a huge new spot on the front of the tie- ironically right above the "Cleaned with Care" logo on the plastic. One of my shirts was also returned with a large yellowish splotch. Perhaps starch, but it could not be removed (after 2 tries). Shirts often starched even when I ask for none, pants were returned with large wrinkles, fixable- but frustrating. I've had bad experiences with all of the cleaners in the Brentwood area. Ive been using this place for 2 or 3 weeks, incidents were not secluded to one bad experience. I'm going to give Yorkshire a try out in Webster. Hoping for better results. read more

Organic Dry Cleaners !!! I LOVE these guys! Don't you hate putting on a sweater that smells like chemicals? Me too, but the wonderful folks at Cardinal use an organic cleaning process that eliminates that nasty smell. They also do alterations and repairs. read more

Won't be returning. Brought in 6 dress shirts and all came away with several cracked buttons. You'd think a professional dry cleaning service would know how to prevent that. read more

I use them frequently for shirts, pants, etc and they always do a great job. Also, 2 days before vacation I had to have a dress altered. I told the lady (owner) and she hemmed my dress the same day. Great customer service. read more

I have been using Cardinal Cleaners for about 3 years. They have removed stains from clothing I thought had to be thrown away. My suits always comeback neatly presses and with all the buttons. They have made repairs to cuffs and buttons without my asking. I would say they have a loyal customer. read more

After about a 5 year run, I gave up on Cardinal. Not "bad", but just...mediocre. Sort of a "death by thousand pin-pricks". A broken button here and there, which then became more here here here, a missed "easy" stain there, and the straw that broke the camel's back, a sweater with a small stain made much, much worse by what looked like a total lack of grace in the stain removal attempt, resulting in a cleaning fluid mark much much bigger (and more noticeable) than the original stain itself. And no "We're Sorry But..." attachment. On my tailor's recommendation, I'm a month or so into Frontenac Cleaners in Ladue. They're certainly not perfect, but they saved a pair of linen pants from the trash bin that Cardinal had failed with. If quality was the only determinant, I'd have to say Marquards is great-- but be ready to take out a second mortgage if you want to take your daily stuff there. read more

Cardinals cleaners is great. They do good and cheap alterations and their turnaround time is great too. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because on a couple of occasions when I got clothes back they smelled like dry cleaning chemicals still. I just then hung them in the hallway and put a fan on them until the smell went away. But this has only happened 2 out of ~50 times I've taken clothes there and it hasn't happened recently either. read more

They lost one of my favorite shirts and won't do anything about it. Went in 3 times looking for it. One time they said the computer showed I picked it up on Saturday which I definitely did not do, then another time they said I picked it up Monday which I also did not do. When I originally went to pick up my shirt they brought out a handful of men's clothes under my name which are clearly not my clothes. System is not working there- clearly they are mixing clothes up and letting people pick up clothes which are not theirs. Definitely will not be back. Which is a shame because I used to like going there and appreciate their organic practices. Very disappointed. read more

Great dry cleaners! I've only been going about 3 months after finally giving up on Dry Clean Spot (I'm definitely not the first customer to switch!) but am very impressed so far. Yes, Cardinal Cleaners is more expensive, but it's definitely worth it! My orders are always ready when promised and it's always the next day after 2pm (except Saturdays, since they're closed on Sundays). I love that Cardinal Cleaners is family-owned and operated and not corporate. Plus, the eco/organic dry cleaning process doesn't leave that chemical smell on my clothes and is much better for the environment. Not only have they not lost any items yet (it's a shame when one comes to expect that from a dry cleaners, isn't it?) but they've even done some minor repairs (i.e. buttons, hooks) without my asking (and they haven't charged for it!) Cardinal Cleaners is definitely my family's new weekly cleaners! read more

The owners mislead you with pricing. I brough in some items to be repaired (holes) and asked for a price estimate. They gave me an estimate (which was a resonable price), but a week later when I went to pick up my clothes, the price they actually charged me was literally ten TIMES the earlier estimate! Even the sweet girl who waited on me was shocked when she saw how much the owners were charging me. She even told me she thought there was some sort of mistake. Turned out, there wasn't a mistake. They really DID choose to charge me 10 times the earlier price they told me! I had no choice but to pay it or else they were going to keep my clothes "hostage". So I paid it but I I told the girl to tell the owners that I would never use their services again. read more

Low price is not offset by the fact that the shirt I brought to Cardinal Cleaners doesn't look any different than when I brought it in. Stains on front, no explanation, no conversation of any kind. Take the money, here's your shirt back. Very indifferent service. I'll never go back. read more
