We had inspections and quotes from 3 local termite companies to address evidence of termite infestation in our home. All 3 companies performed a thorough house inspection, and all recommended local treatment vs tenting, since there was evidence of wood boring termites only in one upstairs bedroom, but provided quotes for both options. Top Grade went the additional step of recommending attic treatment and also offered a 3 year warranty that included annual inspections. We hired them last Thursday, and a 3 man crew, led by Rene, performed the spot/local treatment today (Monday). They were on time, walked us through the treatment, completed the treatment, and then reviewed what was done, including an additional spot treatment that was done at no additional charge. They cleaned up thoroughly. We are very satisfied with their honesty, promptness, professionalism, and service. We were introduced to Top Grade Termite Control as we were closing on a house in Berkeley. Rene provided a thorough inspection and found areas that the seller's pest company said they did but did not complete (which we had resolved by the seller). There were a few items that we were responsible to fix from the pest inspection (repair and replacement in areas outside the house and under our porch with fungus/dry rot damage and subterranean termite damage) and we hired Top Grade Termite Control to do these fixes, and I'm so glad we did. Rene was extremely responsive, professional, and provided quality service/work. Overall you could tell Rene is just a really good guy. He was prompt in scheduling time for our projects and was very communicative as we led up to the date of the scheduled work. Rene went above and beyond in regards to the fixes -- he identified some items that weren't originally in our quote but took care of it without hesitation to ensure the job was done right and well. He also took pictures throughout the project and upon completion so we had thorough documentation (this was also helpful as we weren't in-person for all of the fixes). He also helped us with some other minor projects we were doing around the house (we didn't have the right screws/drill bit for stucco to place our outside security camera and he happily provided us stucco screws and let us borrow his drill bit to complete the project; he also came back to the property to shave off a lock we didn't have a key to the crawl space and replaced the lock for us without charge).
