I had a problem with both the Orange and Milford locations the same day. I was having 4 new tires…read moreput on my car and was aware that the existing lug nuts were crappy so I decided to pick some up and drop them off to the guys doing the tires. The Milford store said they had some but not enough, that the Orange store had them. I asked her if there was more than one type, that I didn't want the ones with the hollow chrome caps, but I wanted the solid ones that were chrome. She said they had the solid ones. I went to the Orange store and told them the specs of the car - I needed 20 lugs (5 packages) but they said they only had 3 (when I had been told they had 7) - I bought the 3 packages and went back to the Milford store to purchase 2 more packages and then dropped them off at the tire place. I was told later after my tires had been installed that they were the wrong lugs. I went back to the Orange store that sold me the supposedly correct ones and they would only give me store credit as I didn't have my 2 receipts - had left them home. I told them they could look it up via my phone number and the woman said they couldn't, which was a lie. I went to the Milford store and the guy there was able to look up the 2 sales and refund me. I found it to be a slap in the face for a customer with them for 30 years, who they sold the WRONG LUGS to for them to treat me like this. I will no longer be a customer of Auto Zone. Costly mistake.

When we got there, they casually mentioned the repairman called out. Considering our brakes were at 2% functionality, that was a long and honestly dangerous drive that could have been avoided with a 30-second phone call. Since they didn't seem to want the business, we took our $3k+ service down the street to Firestone. How you flop on such a big sale? Definitely won't be back.

DON'T BUY ANY JUNK FOR YOUR CAR FROM O'REILLY'S!!! I purchased a throttle body from…read morethem for $161.64 and it continually produced error codes which I could not seem to clear. I took the car to a mechanic and because the throttle body appeared to be new, they did not realize IT was the problem and replaced accelerator pedal which could not clear the error codes. Finally realizing it was the new throttle body that was causing the problem they replaced it. So after all the trouble shooting time and new parts I spent $1000. Now I call the store and ask if I can return it for refund and they said OK. So I get to the store and they said NO, it has to be in THE BOX, which I threw away days ago. After dumpster diving at my club and at Chuck's garage I finally found A BOX and returned to the store with the new JUNK throttle body that never worked. So I spent $1000 on a project that should have cost only $161.64. I WILL NOT EVER BUY A DAMN THING FROM O'REILLY AUTO PARTS EVER AGAIN AND I'LL TELL ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT MY BAD EXPERIENCE !!!!!!!! I had to add a star to get this published but they deserve NON!!!!!
