Don't know much about this place food because on that Saturday morning things went down like this Mom was working and me and my 2 kids (2 and 5) were on our way to watch the airplane show. Placed a good sized order (2 bagels with cream cheese , a chocolate croissant, and 2 chocolate donuts). While they were preparing my 5 year had to go pee. I asked her very kindly to use the facilities. She also saw and must heard the urgency in his voice. So I found it very rude and insulting when her rely was " the inspector dosen't allow customers to use bathroom". So I left and walked out Pretty sad!!!! My first time coming in today after my bf got me a donut over the weekend from here and I have to say, Love, Love, Love their donuts! You don't get the oily taste in your mouth like some places or the overpoweringly sweet taste, their donuts were cooked to perfection! When I came in today the Asian lady who works the counter was so sweet! I asked for 2 crumble donuts and 1 Cronut since I saw the sign upon walking in. The Cronut is about the same cost ($3) as what you'd get at Spudnuts off Topanga but tastes so much better!! Best part is everything came out warm and fresh and she even hooked it up with a half dozen donut holes for free! So awesome! I'm definitely gonna be back, I think I found my go-to spot for my donut fix and it's perfect since it's right around the corner from my house! Very rarely you find a small business that tries to do everything right... well we are talking about donuts here. This place is 5 star for me for the following reasons. 1) Service: The lady is very sweet and I believe its her son who is also very nice. 2) Product: The donut always tastes fresh and delicious. I love their 99cents thai iced tea, i sometime buy two of them to give one to the laundry guy next door. 3) Extra mile: The smile, the extra donut holes they throw in and even extra donuts, and here's why its so important. Came here because it was more convenient than the donut place across the street. Also I think there was a bit of laziness involved. Also saw good reviews so why the heck not, always gotta try somewhere new right? Got my go to apple fritter, its a little smaller here than at most places. The sweet lady threw in a handful of donut holes as well, score! The donut holes must have been straight from the cooling rack because they literally melted in my mouth. The apple fritter was also one of the better ones I've had. It wasn't super dry in the middle and wasn't overly sweet. Could have used a little more apple pieces but it satisfied my donut craving. The lady was very friendly but I'm not a big fan of the way the place is set up. You practically almost don't see the person helping you because of all the signs and advertisements. And the entrance doesn't look very inviting but don't judge a book by its cover and all that jazz. Theres a good amount of parking so no worries there. Stumbled across this place on my way home (Lancaster) from a Dr appointment. I promised my 6yr old a donut if she did great. Unfortunately when we found this place it was well into the afternoon and the donut selection wasn't much. Apparently the woman that used to work at that shop the most retired and the person working there now is incredibly rude and honestly appears that she does not care that you are there giving them business. Omg I haven't tasted the donuts yet so I gave it a just a 2. First for being clean place, enough parking. But the horrible attitude and service I got. All bad from beginning to end. The lady first gave me an bad attitude just choosing the dozen donut. Like I was keeping her something important. All she doing when I got there was playing on her cell phone since it was empty. Not the best. First time we come here and last the donut was dry and stale. Seemed they where old. We came early morning my wife and I bought a dozen for our office. Good thing my wife ate one before we got to the office. If we served those our employees that would not have been good. From the counter the back looks messy. You can see into the back area. They have a serious attitude problem. They are often rude and yell at you for no reason. Yesterday I waited 10 minutes for a cashier to come from the back, and no one even looked to see who walked in. I was alone. I rang the table bell and I got a rude response to wait because she was making a sandwich. I waited another 15 minutes and rang again, telling her politely I just wanted to pick up donuts and leave. Another rude response and I told her she lost a loyal customer. I pay hundreds of dollars a month for donuts because I often buy for my office. If you're going to be rude with poor service, I'm never visiting here again, and I'm going to tell everyone to go to the donut shop ACROSS from your street. They are 1000 times better than you. Overall, wasted 25 minutes of my lunch break. Donuts aren't even good, usually stale or dry. On what planet does it take 30+ minutes to make a sandwich? What a rude person!!! I don't know if she is the owner or a worker, but I often go in for Boba and I noticed lately, everytime I go in there, they don't have it, despite the "Boba" light being on. I suggested "Why don't you turn the sign on when the Boba is available and turn it off when it is not available". Her response? "Don't tell me how to run my business". I couldn't believe it! Worst service. Clerk was rude, and seem to not know how to use the credit equipment. It took 15 minutes to try and get a hot chocolate and a donut. I say try because ended up living without food and a bad taste in my mouth after the whole experience. I wouldn't recommend this place. There are so many places that sell the same thing and will treat you respectfully. If you absolutely have to stop here make sure to use cash. There are many many donut shops around, why should you go to this one? The service is great. This is a mom and pop owned shop by a nice Cambodian family. They care about their business and it shows. What else do I like about them? They have huge croissant sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. They inject the stuffing into their filled donuts on demand using a LOT of stuffing. They give you little "bonuses." Just the other day I was craving a jelly donut. I stopped in and got one with lemon filling, yum! When I was handed the bag with the donut, the owner also slipped in a couple extra donut holes for free. You don't get that kind of service at a big national chain! Worst service ever.!!! We walked in at 8 pm, which is by the way one hour before their closing time. We were craving a hot chocolate and warm donuts. As soon as we walked in we saw the lady mopping and she gave a bad vibe. She asked if we wanted something, we obviously wanted something since we all arrived to the donut shop hoping to get good service. Then she called her son to serve us, he was the worst employee ever with no manners. He ruined our night with his horrible sluggish attitude. We asked for 4 hot chocolates and he got mad because the lady gave him directions on how to make the hot cocoa. I'm am not kidding, the hot cocoa looked like tar. 15 years ago I used to get donuts almost every day from them. Then I decided donuts weren't doing me any good. So I stopped eating them altogether, however a few years back I was in charge of snacks for my kids sports team and decided to get donuts occasionally from them. They were still my place for getting donuts even thought I moved about 4 miles away. They used to be very friendly and warm and always had great tasting donuts, however these days, although the donuts are still good, the family members working there don't seem to be doing such a great job anymore. Often times they run out of Boba and/or some donuts. I recently went in to buy 2 donuts and the woman put the donuts in a bag and then gave me 4 extra donuts hole, which I didn't ask for. She said they had made extra and she needed to get rid of them. It was a nice gesture and I said thank you. However she squished the two donuts I paid for and they were flattened. This kind of sucked! Then I asked her what she did with all her left over baked goods at the end of the day and she said they throw away or give to a church. I asked her if she would consider giving it to a non profit group if I stopped by on Friday nights and she said NO. Ok! So she said she didn't want to do the because sometimes they didn't have leftovers and I said fine, but if you do and I come by at closing, could I get some? She still replied NO. Ok, well if you have leftover are you going to throw them away? She said Yes. Well you wouldn't consider letting me take them? NO. It could be liability. OK, well you just told me you give to a church and wouldn't that liability also apply to items you sell? Our Insurance won't let us? Ok fine. this was how the conversation went and I was very shocked and disappointed that she wouldn't even consider doing this. I thought she was determined not to even think about it and although she is of course not obligated in any way to donate baked goods that don't sell, I was put off. I probably wont return there for donuts because of her response to my questions. In addition to the lack of donut and boba options that have missing in the past few years. One thing I hate is restaurants who don't give back to the community. Randomly stopped in yesterday. Had a few minutes to kill as I was early for a rehearsal nearby and wanted to take my fellow musician friends a small treat. As soon as I walked in, I could tell the donuts looked to be very good quality. Then I bit into one - WOW. Fluffy, light, not too sweet. One of the best I've ever had. In a small strip mall in Granada Hills of all places. And to demonstrate it wasn't just me or a fluke, my 3 colleagues wholeheartedly agreed as they devoured the remaining donuts soon after my arrival for our session.
