I visited here because it had better reviews than my usual chinese place. The food was not as good as expected. The fried rice was very bland it doesn't it look like they added soy sauce to it. It also had big chucks of onions and peppers which were basically raw. The general tso chicken was decent but it was missing spicy flavor. The customer service was good. read more

I guess this place didn't like a three-star review. They sent me a message through yelp and told me not to discuss my "personal tastes" on their wall. So what? Am I supposed to approach this or any review academically or clinically? I tasted it and I described my observations of the food and delivery. It was okay Chinese food, and I said the delivery was fast and hot. But it wasn't anything fantastic. Great food delivered fast and hot would have gotten a better review. So I guess hot, fast, not-great food got three stars, but being scolded for not giving a better review is indicative of a business that I will not patronize. 1 star. No more business from me. Additionally, I was told the restaurant does not deserve a review from someone who orders food they know they will not enjoy. Nowhere did I say I ordered it knowing that I would not like it. I merely said I "wasn't the biggest fan." I've had fine Chinese food before, but if my wife and I are going to order food it's not at the high on the list of my choices. Surprised nobody else wrote a review on this place. I googled local places and found this and thought I would take a chance. I am so glad that I did. I got the Szechuan Chicken lunch special and paid $5 and some change which is a bargain. It was enough food for two meals, but I couldn't stop eating because it was so good. It wasn't all rice either. It was approximately 1/4 rice and 3/4 Szechuan Chicken. Now I have been back multiple times and they have yet to let me down. I try something different each time. We ordered shrimp fried rice, honey chicken wings, and shrimp egg rolls. The rice was good, but the shrimp was not cleaned properly and you could taste it. It was nasty. The shrimp egg roll lacked flavor, but the honey wings were really good. The 3 stars are strictly for the wings. read more

So this is my go-to for quick Chinese food. It's down the street from my house and office, which makes it a really convenient location. Their food is solid but expect that they aren't wanting any small talk. Order and keep it moving. I don't think they're trying to be rude, and seem nice when I go in to pick up. For what it is, it is the best show in town. I probably get Chinese takeout delivered from here to my house more often that I would like to admit. I can honestly say, of all the restaurants in Augusta, I eat Top China's food more often than any other establishment. This was my first time ordering take-out from this place, so my review may be subject to updates in the future, this it was a good experience. The phone was quickly answered, the employee was all-business but not unpleasant, and the price was extremely reasonable. In fact, I had to order a little extra to even hit the proper amount. My order arrived sooner than the 45 minutes they said it would which was nice. Everything arrived hot and was pretty tasty. I would say the weak point was the egg roll which seemed to have gotten a bit too much of something, it had a fairly strong bitterness about it in some areas. I don't suspect that it was intended so it was probably just hasty preparation and a remote thing. When all is said and done it was a good. Also, I have significant allergies to shellfish, and when I called the restaurant, they routed the call to the cook, and they prepared my food separately so it wouldn't have any shellfish oil or bits of shellfish in any of my order.
