The unit never cycled off and ran 20 hours a day, leaving me huge energy bills. I needed a 4-ton AC, my cheap builder didn't think so!! I entertained several estimates from well known AC companies and not so well known such as Safe Air Houston. Everyone was $12K-$20K and doing their best to up sale me. Not Safe Air Houston, they gave a military discount and their price was...lets just say lower than $10K. They did not try to up sale me at all. Duane's installation time were fast, efficient and professional. They covered the area with blankets and cleaned up their mess. They were in and out in a little over 4 hours. Now I can actually hear and feel the cold pleasant air blowing. I've been here 14 months and have never heard the air blow. In the heat of the day, the temp in the house is 73 and the unit is cycling off!! I would have never fathomed 73 was possible when outside Houston temp is 104!! We can walk around our home now and not have damp foreheads, we can turn on the oven during the day and not regret it, and I'm sure this next energy bill is going to start to decline thanks to Safe Air.

The unit itself has been corrected, however the new "duct design" by Safe Air is not compatible with the Trane variable speed unit (we verified this with a Trane Comfort Specialist). Since install we have had multiple conversations with the owner of the company who has screamed at us, told us that water coming into our home from the ducts is out of his scope, and he is now non-responsive to Trane and TDLR (the agency that allows him to be licensed in Texas). We have requested multiple times that he come and remove all of his equipment from our home and refund us and he has denied to do this.

Stephan called as I was leaving the Post Office and he agreed to wait until I got home. Stephan quickly diagnosed the problem (failed capacitor) and had a replacement in hand. He explained the cost, which was more than fair. Stephan quickly installed the replacement and tested to insure it was working properly. This estimate did not include the ductwork or the copper piping inside the walls, which they said they were unable to access. My husband and I discussed the situation and felt that $20,000 was an excessive amount for replacing a single unit in a two-story home. When we decided not to move forward and said we wanted to get a second opinion, they lowered the price to $14,000. We couldn't help but feel that the pricing and recommendations may have been influenced by the assumption that we could afford to pay more. While we cannot speak to their intentions, that was certainly how the situation felt to us, particularly given the significant price reduction from $20,000 to $14,000 once we declined the work and said we wanted to seek another estimate. We decided to hold off, and we are extremely grateful that we did. Another HVAC company came out, properly assessed the system, and was able to clear the line. They told us that our existing unit has approximately another 8-10 years of life remaining, and they did not charge us anything for the service. Unfortunately, we were still left paying $600 to Mr. Reliable for a condenser that ultimately did not need to be replaced. This experience was extremely disappointing and left us feeling that we were being overcharged rather than given an honest assessment of what our system actually needed. We strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major HVAC replacement, especially when the proposed repair comes with a significant price tag.

Avi sat and talked with my husband and I about the problem, explained our options, and pricing, including warranties. They had the longest warranties for their services, which gave use the impression that they back their work. We scheduled with them on Thanksgiving (yes, they were available for us to contact with any questions). They came out Sunday and worked diligently from 10:30am-3pm. They covered our furniture and belongings to ensure that it wouldn't get dirty. They took our vents off and washed them, cleaned the boxes, intakes, ducts and unit. After washing, they sanitized and installed the UV light system to prevent the problem from occurring again. They cleaned up afterwards. The smell of our house is wonderful after they used their organic solution. We are extremely pleased from the initial call, schedule for quote, questions, schedule for job, and actual job. Hired this company for a dryer vent clean out. After they did the basic cleaning they said i was okay do use my dryer. When i went to use it, my clothes were very damp and it was worse than before i got it serviced. Called them out on a Sunday due to an issue so I had to pay an extra weekend fee. I was advised everything was in good working order.
