Their dip powder, which is supposed to be better for your nails, was applied too thick and absolutely destroyed my nail beds. My cuticles were also swollen on my fingers and toes because of their disregard for my nail health. My nail beds hurt from how thin they got from the drill they used. My nails were brittle and every single one broke because of this service after months of growing them out. Go literally anywhere else. Honestly pretty solid! I've seen mixed reviews for this place, and I had been here once before to get a pedicure which was okay -not great but not awful- so I decided to go back for a gel manicure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty quiet when I went, so there was a large group of technicians standing by the door when I came in which was a bit overwhelming as they all tried to talk to me at once.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once I sat down, it went pretty smooth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had one woman take off my gel and disappear for about 20 minutes, so not sure what that was about but I wasn't in a rush so it was fine. When the lady who was going to do my nails came over, I noticed she didn't open a pack of new tools like most places do, which had me questioning how often they get cleaned if she uses the same ones. In terms of cleanliness, I was a bit disappointed. She used the nail file to wipe the gel dust off the table and then used it on my nails which was a little gross. She then used a hot towel on my hands, used it to wipe the plexiglass and table, and then tried to use it on my hands again which is extremely unsanitary. I pulled my hands away so luckily the dirty towel didn't come in contact with me, but I was a bit shocked that she even tried to do this. While she was painting my nails, there were bits of cotton stuck in the polish which I tried to point out 2 or 3 times, but she was not removing it so I ended up just pulling it out myself. Overall, it looks good and was a great price, but the cleanliness of the salon was a 2/5 and it felt as if Amy (the woman who did my nails) did not care about how they came out as she attempted to use a dirty towel and didn't care that she was painting over the cotton she used to wipe my nails with. I think I would come back, but I would want to try a different technician to see if they are a bit cleaner! read more

Service took 2 hours and 15 minutes for a $90 + tip manicure that looks horrible. I got hurt from the machines and files and all of my nails are uneven after i asked them many times to file them down to be even. Was almost the last person in there and 3 rounds of people sat next to me getting the same manicure in less than half the time i was there. Will not be going back. read more

Felt really confident in this place. They take temperatures and sanitize your hands when you enter. I had a seat between other clients and me, and a plastic barrier between the tech and me - plus masks were required at all times. The technician was SUPER thorough really cleaning my old cuticles and making sure the polish was perfectly applied. Never felt rushed. I got a gel french manicure which came out to $48. I was really pleased with the girl who did my nails (I wish I got her name because she was awesome) because it really seemed like she paid attention to detail. A girl next to me sat down after me and her girl was already painting her nails when my girl when still doing my cuticles. In total for my french nails there were 7 coats (base, 2 nude, 2 french tip, 2 top coats) so my nails feel really nice and sturdy. I haven't gotten my nails done in forever since I normally do them at home but I really noticed a difference in this vs my at home manicures. read more

First off let me say that I do NOT have ingrowns. I've been getting pedicures for almost 10 years , and this woman starts digging into the side of my big toe with a cuticle cutter and cuts out a chunk of a skin and it's hurts so bad and I'm confused as to what she's cutting. She said I had an "ingrown Nail" but that's cap. I don't get those. And it starts to throb and from then till today my toe is swollen and it hurts to even touch it. If i even brush it against a pillow it hurts so bad. The shape is horrible and how is it after a pedicure I have dry skin on my feet? Because they don't care to actually scrub your feet correctly. And now I'm pretty sure I have an infection due to them not even properly sterilizing whatever they used and her cutting into my skin multiple times after I said it hurt! Now I have to go to the urgent care and take care of this before it gets purple ... do not go here! It may not happen to you right away but eventually it will and avoid LuLu doing your toes at all cost. Update : I went to urgent care today. I definitely have an infection and they sent me home with Bacetracin. Within a span of a few days it became infected with puss..updated pic attached to prove it. I called about 30 minutes before closing and they were willing to accommodate for gel removal and to repaint with gel. I was grateful and will chalk up how rushed it was to my late arrival. Overall it was fine. I've had better/worse manicures. My biggest complaint is that she filed a couple of my nails so they're not symmetrical and one (my thumb, pictured) so that it's going to look odd when it grows out a little. This place is right around the corner from me and I feel grateful that I am lucky enough to have decided to go here! The aesthetic is very nice from the moment you walk in; it's a calm quiet atmosphere and very clean. The entire staff are incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly. There is one woman in particular with very short hair, I think she may be the owner or manager, but she's always walking around, making sure everyone is happy and willing to help if not! Besides the great service, calm vibes, and overall cleanliness... these ladies do incredible work! Every once in a blue moon, usually for a special occasion, I like to ask for fun designs/nail art. I always say, no big deal, just have fun and do as best as you can, I'm not picky... but it's been incredible both times. The first time I got cow print for my bday (my nail artist was giggling the whole time which made me giggle too which I loved) and then palm trees and ombré for my beach vacation. It was two different women but they both completely knocked out of the park. Maybe not the cheapest place, but prices are fair and not at all what I'd consider expensive. Went in for a manicure, pedicure, and massage. The location itself is very clean and they're doing a great job with social distancing. They sanitize your hands upon arrival and take your temperature. I started with a pedicure which was all right. Not particularly great. The manicure itself was decent- the three stars is because of how ragged my cuticles were left by my manicurist (see photo). The polish itself looks great, and so does the shape. The massage was good. It was done at the drying station which I didn't love, but I felt relieved afterwards. The pricing isn't clearly visible, which is a turn off for me. I don't know how much each service was individually because of this. My services plus a 17% tip came out to roughly $60. Overall, I would go back if I needed a basic service done in a pinch. The cuticle discomfort/raggedness from the over zealous trimming is a bummer because the polish itself is stunning. read more

Big, big fan of this place. Under quarantine right now and thinking about how bad I miss it. I always get the spa pedicure and they take their time while still being efficient. They are usually busy (without being obnoxious) so when I can, I call 20 minutes ahead of time to make an appointment and they are always so accommodating. Appointments are def not necessary - come in all the time without one and never waited more than 20 mins but not a bad idea to call in if you can. Solid nail salon, amazing value for the price/category. A regular manicure is $11.50 (including tax, not including tip.) Great location near the park, and I only waited 5-10 minutes for a manicurist during the peak post-work rush. They have EVERY color/shade imaginable in Essie and OPI.
