The nail salon is pretty average. I stopped by during my lunch break for a simple gel manicure. The employees were neither particularly friendly nor rude, just average. I got a full set and needed my old acrylics removed. The color selection was great. However, the removal process was the most painful experience I've ever had at a nail salon. The technician removed my acrylics with other acrylic nails, and one of my nails began to bleed when she did this. When I expressed that it hurt, she continues anyways, and this caused my nail to bleed. I won't be returning. I'd rather go elsewhere and spent more, than risk having my nail bleed again. read more

A no-frills nail salon with affordable prices -- the employees were neither friendly nor rude, and worked super efficiently. I was able to walk in and get seated right away for a regular mani and gel pedi. I have no complaints about the gel pedicure, super great and plenty of colors. I didn't love my regular manicure, though -- I pointed out an air bubble and the worker quickly fixed it up. I realized that it probably would've been better to just redo the whole nail, because the polish looked a bit bumpy in the sun. They also chipped less than 3 days later. I'd go back for a gel service, but I'd probably skip on the regular mani. read more

I came in with an inspo pic in mind (see first photo attached). It was posted by another Yelper at the same salon, so I assumed the salon would be able to replicate exactly what I wanted. I called the salon twice to ask how much the service would be (removal, gel x, design) and they said 54 the first time then 58 the second time. TLDR; the nails didn't come out at all how I wanted them to. Instead of pink, it's an orange. The nails are transparent so you can see the lines from my natural nail underneath. The service also ended up being $93 (not including tip), which is way more than what we agreed on. Very sad about this place :( read more

Not all that doesn't Glitz isn't Glamorous! This Avenue B Nail salon which rose in popularity after going viral on TikTok is ABSOLUTELY worth the prices. I went for my first set of acrylic nails and it was $58 (without tip) for a full set. A BARGAIN in NYC. The nail tech was very quick and I was pleasantly surprised. Expected to tip in cash and there is an ATM in the salon. I give 4/5 stars because the acrylic removal was painful for my friend (removing with the metro-card versus soaking them off) and the salon could be a smudge cleaner. But for these prices, you can't ask for more. read more

This nail shop is horiable when got my nails done and a women name Maria cut my finger. They didn't have gloves or face mask and was unapologetic. There was dust everywhere and they definitely don't follow and if there safety protocols. I certainly to recommend any one to try this nail salon. It's really not worth all the trouble and headaches. Horrible experience lesson learned. read more

I got chrome on top of my gel manicure. They charged me $18 for the chrome. The morning after getting them done, the chrome began chipping off my nails. I don't think my nail tech knew what she was doing and told me after finishing my nails that I shouldn't get chrome on top of the color I chose. There was no care given to my manicure, barely cut my cuticles and just felt overall that the experience was not worth the price. read more

Glitz nail is fine. I really liked it when I was going for acrylics, but once I switched to regular gel manicures, I started to get turned off. Some of the staff are really rough and careless with your nails and they don't all clean their tools. Super dangerous since it's so easy to get an infection, especially when they're making you bleed every time you go in. They don't always pay attention to detail so you're often leaving with bumps, smudges, or even nail polish on your fingers. The prices are great which I think is the most attractive part of this store, but you get what you pay for. If you're ballin on a budget I would suggest either pushing them to clean their tools in front of you or asking them not to clip your cuticles. read more

LUUUUVVVVVVV MY NAILS!! I came in this past Monday (it was a rainy but it did not stop business at all lol). Had one of the ladies polish my toes and the gentleman did my powder set ($48). He took his time, made sure I was okay with the shape and look of my nails throughout the process. It was truly a excellent vibe for my first experience here. Thank y'all so much for fulfilling my needs. Ya girl will be back! (for sure to tip the man a lil more for his services;)) ***One thing I realized what makes a nail tech comfortable to do their job well is to not FULLY keep a eye on how they're doing your nails. I was on my phone talking to my sis and watching videos during my visit here. HOWEVER, I still was watching both of them (making sure everything was looking okay; spoke if i seen something i didn't like and thank God i didn't have to say anything to them) but not keeping my eyes glued on them as if I was micro managing them (if that make sense). So I've been here before twice and it was ok. Until I had this one woman today. I asked for regular gel pedicure and a French tip gel manicure. She asked it I wanted a callus cream for my feet, I politely said no. She then proceeds to remove all my current gel off my feet and hands with a nail file leaving my skin raw and irritated (rather than the acetone and foil). She finishes and charges $90 (expecting tip), leaving nail polish and poor quality manicure. It was super chunky and thick, uneven, and sloppy. As I was looking at it she continues with "put it in, put it in" the UV gel box and then asks if I'm ok?? The top coat is still soft and not shiny at all. I am not coming back here again. And the rest of the staff saw what she was doing and didn't say anything. read more

I loved coming here! It was pretty affordable, and the staff was so sweet. It was very busy on a Friday evening, but I appreciate how they never rushed anybody. I got an SNS manicure ($38) and regular pedicure ($18) for about $56. (I paid with card, so the tax was an extra $5.) They had a lot of color options to choose from, and I was really happy about how my nails turned out. Another customer showed them a picture of a unique design she wanted, and they were able to customize for her request. They turned out so great! Be sure to tip them with cash. (They have an ATM available if you don't have any.) I will definitely become a regular here! read more

No frills and definitely no "glitz," but pricing here cannot be beat! I have never had any issues and I've always had lasting manicures and pedicures. I normally go for regular pedicures and gel manicures when I come and both have lasted around a month which is more than I'd normally expect! There normally isn't too long of a wait, but they're not great at honoring appointments, so I'd just call and ask them how busy they are before you come by. They don't seem to turn people away really, so I think the issue is that they let people in when they already have appointments! I'd recommend bringing cash as they charge you a little more to use your card. If you're looking to treat yourself and have a luxurious experience, I wouldn't come here, but if you just need your nails done at an extremely reasonable price and a pleasant experience, this is a great place to go! read more

There's a reason this place is so cheap! Do not come here looking for a spa experience, it's over crowded and people with appointments wait 30-2 hours for their appointment. I called and specifically asked for Olivia since I read her nail art is great, they confirmed over the phone Olivia would be working on my nails....didn't happen. Another girl did my nails horrifically after I said countless times I asked to be with Olivia. After almost two hours and another soaking (taking the first nail lady's gel mani off) Olivia started my nails. I originally called and made an appointment for a regular gel manicure and regular pedi... after over two hours of getting my nails done I told them to forget it. Let me start out this review by saying that I've been coming here since they first opened years ago. Back when it was just two nail techs working here, the young lady and the older man. This was my spot. They were amazing. However, the last two times I've been here I got the same tech. He is horrible. But let me explain why. He kept trying to position my hand and fingers in inhuman ways. For example if he was doing my thumb he tried to retract all the rest of my fingers to my wrist or completely twist my arm just to do one nail. Obviously I'd say what are you doing that hurts. After I stood up for myself he became really aggressive. In example He filed so vigorously that the skin on the side of my pinky tore and I started to bleed. He got glue all over my fingers. He glued one nail crooked. And he slathered his finished demolition with so much top coat I'm prepared for three winters. At the end, he was upset because I didn't tip him for that abuse and he left my shoes in the middle of the salon instead of taking them to me while I dried. So In conclusion, "Glitz Nail" this is where we part ways. I will absolutely never come back here. read more

So happy with my nails!! I went for a gel removal and a dip manicure it came to $42 (they take card but tips are cash only) I did call ahead for an appointment at 3:30 on a Tuesday but i didn't start till 4 (which i expected per other Yelp reviews). This is right down the street from so it's become my go to nail spot. Don't get me wrong, nails are decently done and prices are affordable but I gotta ding them for how long they make you wait - EVEN when you call ahead of time and make an appointment. I honestly don't get why and at this point I just go prepared to wait no matter what. However, the moment that I left, it was very itchy. It took over a week for the itching to stop and that was with applying tea tree oil. I didn't have any ingrown or broken off patches of hair either. I honestly would've going back until someone mentioned to me that I probably was allergic to the wax. That sucks because I really did enjoy the after experience once it stopped itching. She listened to my concern when I told her that usually waxers leave a patch of hair in the back unintentionally.

The only odd part was when I was making the appt online, I went through the payment steps and added a code, but when I was leaving, they asked me to show proof of where I found the code vs being able to check their records.
