I got a full set and needed my old acrylics removed. The color selection was great. However, the removal process was the most painful experience I've ever had at a nail salon. The technician removed my acrylics with other acrylic nails, and one of my nails began to bleed when she did this. When I expressed that it hurt, she continues anyways, and this caused my nail to bleed. I won't be returning. I'd rather go elsewhere and spent more, than risk having my nail bleed again. read more

I came in with an inspo pic in mind (see first photo attached). It was posted by another Yelper at the same salon, so I assumed the salon would be able to replicate exactly what I wanted. I called the salon twice to ask how much the service would be (removal, gel x, design) and they said 54 the first time then 58 the second time. TLDR; the nails didn't come out at all how I wanted them to. Instead of pink, it's an orange. The nails are transparent so you can see the lines from my natural nail underneath. The service also ended up being $93 (not including tip), which is way more than what we agreed on. Very sad about this place :( read more

I went for my first set of acrylic nails and it was $58 (without tip) for a full set. A BARGAIN in NYC. The nail tech was very quick and I was pleasantly surprised. Expected to tip in cash and there is an ATM in the salon. I give 4/5 stars because the acrylic removal was painful for my friend (removing with the metro-card versus soaking them off) and the salon could be a smudge cleaner. This nail shop is horiable when got my nails done and a women name Maria cut my finger. They didn't have gloves or face mask and was unapologetic. So I've been here before twice and it was ok. Until I had this one woman today. I asked for regular gel pedicure and a French tip gel manicure. She asked it I wanted a callus cream for my feet, I politely said no. I got chrome on top of my gel manicure. They charged me $18 for the chrome. The morning after getting them done, the chrome began chipping off my nails. I don't think my nail tech knew what she was doing and told me after finishing my nails that I shouldn't get chrome on top of the color I chose. I normally go for regular pedicures and gel manicures when I come and both have lasted around a month which is more than I'd normally expect! There normally isn't too long of a wait, but they're not great at honoring appointments, so I'd just call and ask them how busy they are before you come by. They don't seem to turn people away really, so I think the issue is that they let people in when they already have appointments! I'd recommend bringing cash as they charge you a little more to use your card. Let me start out this review by saying that I've been coming here since they first opened years ago. Back when it was just two nail techs working here, the young lady and the older man. This was my spot. They were amazing. However, the last two times I've been here I got the same tech. He is horrible. But let me explain why. He kept trying to position my hand and fingers in inhuman ways. For example if he was doing my thumb he tried to retract all the rest of my fingers to my wrist or completely twist my arm just to do one nail. Obviously I'd say what are you doing that hurts. After I stood up for myself he became really aggressive. In example He filed so vigorously that the skin on the side of my pinky tore and I started to bleed. He got glue all over my fingers. He glued one nail crooked. And he slathered his finished demolition with so much top coat I'm prepared for three winters. At the end, he was upset because I didn't tip him for that abuse and he left my shoes in the middle of the salon instead of taking them to me while I dried. Glitz nail is fine. I really liked it when I was going for acrylics, but once I switched to regular gel manicures, I started to get turned off. Some of the staff are really rough and careless with your nails and they don't all clean their tools. Super dangerous since it's so easy to get an infection, especially when they're making you bleed every time you go in. They don't always pay attention to detail so you're often leaving with bumps, smudges, or even nail polish on your fingers. The prices are great which I think is the most attractive part of this store, but you get what you pay for. If you're ballin on a budget I would suggest either pushing them to clean their tools in front of you or asking them not to clip your cuticles. read more

I stopped going. I got green on one of my nails the last time I went. Thankfully the green grew out and was able to cut that shit out. The process of tips was getting too harsh but when I decided I was done, I tried to remove the nails on my own using acetone. That's when I learned from internet - that there are levels to the powder they use. If removing with acetone, the tips are gooey, then salon was using a very cheap formula. The issue isn't just cheap - its a complete nightmare to remove. The gooey-ness destroyed all my instruments used for the removal process cause it stuck onto every surface. I've down graded to 3 stars because - for the area - LES, it is tough to find a cheap place that can do good tips. The alternative is to trek up to harlem/bronx or deep brooklyn for equivalent pricing. read more

(They did rises the prices a little btw) Both man in salon are better skilled in adding polish then a nail shape. There is only ONE master , second table from left who seems been there since opening and do a decent job be it filing a shape, add nail polish but it's hard to get to her. Also, if you one of whose (I actually don't care) who dislike when people are talking in front of you in foreign language and you might think they discuss you- this place be you total nightmare as not only your master will chat to next standing table but chat and laughs will travel even across the room. I paid 42$ for new set including $5 gel polish removal and left $10 tip. Add 6$ UBER and $2.75 Subway ride back home makes me think I was silly to think my 65$ FIDI salon is pricey (they do deliver work like on my photo collage with "expectation" vs reality. So think twice, ladies. Time you waste going, poor job for the buck, this all combined will ruin your week (if you used regular polish and not gel.
