Rita did an amazing job!
Amanda T.

I love how my nails turned out! I showed Rita a nail design that I wanted and she matched it pretty closely--I am very happy. But before getting the gel polish and design, I had acrylics that needed to be removed. This was a process as I don't think this store deals with acrylic. Initially, she was trying to release the acrylics from my nail bed by sliding a metro card between it. She did it to two nails, but the ring finger was very damaged and thin. She then switched up methods and soaked the remaining fingers in acetone and sanded the polish off. This process was less damaging to the nails. For the ring finger that was damaged, I ended up getting an extension on that to reinforce it. I think Rita did a great job filing and prepping the nails for the gel polish. She made sure each nail was smooth and even. I've been to many nail salons in my time and no one was as meticulous with filing as Rita was. Now onto the nail designs! She was very particular about each of the nails and wanted to match it as close to the reference picture as possible. I think she did a great job and I'm very pleased with the outcome.

I give Blooming a 5 star because nail techs deal with so many rude people all the time and they don't get paid enough for that. If customers tried being more patient and kind you would get better service and better results. I love my nails that were done by Rita and I can't stop looking at them. Let me l leave some tips here that I think will help you have a good experience at Blooming. 1. Do not come if you are in a rush. They get very busy and you will probably end up waiting a long time. 2. Even if you make an appointment, you might have to wait so don't get mad if that happens because you have been warned. 3. Even if they tell you to come back at a later time, you still might have to wait. 4. English is a second language to everyone who works here, so expect to have to take your time to explain how you want your nails. You may have to try various different ways to get your point across. Be patient. 5. Bring pictures of how you want your nails. 6. Be nice because if you're mean or difficult or nasty they will just tell you 'no' because you are scaring them and making them nervous 7. Discuss everything you want before they do it because they will change you for every little thing you add. For example $10 per nail design or $30 extra for all, $3-$10 per diamond or sticker, etc. 8. They do not do regular acrylics but won't really tell you that. They have this thing called Virtual Nails but acrylics are not really their thing. You can ask for tips and powder and that's the closest you'll get. 9. Rita and Mariana are best for designs. Joy is so sweet. Those are the girls I normally go to. 10. Listen to them when they tell you not to use CND colors for hand design. It's too thick, use OPI. 11. When you get to the salon, take a look around and assess the situation for yourself. If you see a lot of people getting pedicure expect to wait because they are probably getting manicure too. If you see a lot of people waiting expect you will have to wait too. If you don't want to wait don't get mad just go somewhere else. All that being said, I really like this salon and recommend it. Be kind, be gentle, be patient, be nice, don't yell and you will have a good experience at Blooming nails.

Wtf is wrong with these nails

This nail salon was the WORST experience ever, I tried their gel nail extensions with French tips hoping to have a super cute angeled French manicure tip but instead, the lady completely messed it up and made them two different colors and still made me pay when it's obvious the nail is TWO different colors. She then proceeded to tell me how I should have looked at the color but isn't that their job to help with that? Super unhappy with my nails that cost 75 bucks. DO NOT COME HERE. Look at photo for reference, absolutely horrible line

I scheduled an appointment for a mani pedi, and I had a great experience! I didn't have to wait for my appointment, but just so you know they do take walk ins too! I really liked the partitions that were set up for covid safety and the overall salon was really clean! The service I had was amazing! The technicians were really thorough. The mani pedi was $33 but I paid an extra $11 to take care of my calluses, and again my feet looked great! My only critique is that I wished they wiped down/sanitized the nail drying station after someone used it. Just with omicron spreading I would feel safer with the extra wipe down, but I would certainly return to this spot! ***they prefer cash only but have an atm in store w/ a low fee if you need to grab some***

Had an amazing experience at this nail salon - contrary to some of the other reviewers here. I got a SNS extensions and my nails came out amazing! Nina, the nail tech, absolutely captured my vision and put so much care and detail when doing my nail art as well. I wanted short almond shape nails and she did so well with the shaping. The prices here are reasonable and I was attended to almost immediately when I walked in. This is not an exaggeration when I say that I may have found my new go-to spot for nails. I'm extremely satisfied with my nails and can't stop looking at them!

4 Days Later ... Gels did not last
Sara M.

I really wanted to like this place, it's close to home and seemed reasonably priced but quality is mediocre. I made an appointment and still had to wait, but fine it was a busy Saturday. The biggest problem for me was how rushed the whole thing was. While a quick gel appointment is good, if you cut corners, the gel doesn't last. And what do you know, less than 3 hours after I left... one of the nails that was not cleaned and filed properly peeled. I went back to get it fixed, which to their credit they did for free. However, that same night that nail broke. Now 4 days later another nail has chipped. Gels are supposed to last 2 weeks. If they last only 4 days then it doesn't really matter how cheap it is. If you want a quick regular manicure maybe this is the spot for you, but not for gel.

Honeydew French manicure with virtual nails
Emme M.

Great experience and will definitely go back. Started to get busy in the evening so make an appointment! I got the "virtual nails" extensions with gel french. Extra charge for the french.

I left here thinking I had not had an acrylic set this bad EVER. My nail lady seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. I'm usually not one to leave bad reviews but I'm genuinely so unhappy with how they turned out. Nails are bubbly, stubby, and the colors look nothing like they do when they initially show you. A service that typically takes one hour took an hour and a half plus 30 min wait time even though I had made an appointment. The area was clean and the salon is nice, but the staff feels judgy and both times I have been I was not happy. Prices are also insane, I usually get gel acrylics for $60-$70 and here it is $80 not including designs or fun colors that they charge $10 more for. As you can tell from the photos, my hands are also super dry as they did not give me cuticle oil or lotion after butchering my cuticles.

I'm so happy with my gel manicure! Rita did a fantastic job :) The salon is new and clean. Everyone was really sweet. This is actually the first salon where my gel manicure did not lift after a whole month (see pictures). I will be coming back. Regular gel manicure is $35, design on 2 nails was $15 extra.

Rita did an amazing job. But on top of that, you could how much she cared about her work and wanted to make it perfect which I think makes a big difference in your experience. Bonus: she gave the best message, I had to ask for more. $45 for gel mani with designs

Christine L.

This is absolutely the worst place. The people there are not knowledgeable about their work. They did such a poor job cleaning off the old gel (red) and wanted to paint my nails (white) over it without properly cleaning the old away. ON TOP OF THAT, they painted my nails so so poorly. Wow! Then they claimed the problem is my feet.. what? Three women. Never in my 20 years of getting a mani-pedi have I heard about such stupidity. Don't spend your money here. Save your nails. Save your money.

So when I looked up waxing services on Yelp and noticed that Uni K was nearby, with great reviews and online booking I was locked in! First of all, it was so happy to see that they had some same day appointment availability! Why that may not always be the case, some booking systems will still only show starting next day. I also loved that their menu had a lot of options, including more than one type of Brazilian to book. When I showed up to my appointment, I checked in and filled out some basic, new client information. I was then taken to my room with my waxer promptly after. They use hard wax here which many people prefer, but for me hurts the most. But I don't really care what is used as long as they're hygienic, quick, effective and will not spawn in-grown hairs. My waxer was quick, thorough and one week out...things are still looking good! As a bonus, first time clients got a significant discount which made me even happier about my experience. While my experience before check out was already excellent, that was just icing on the cake. Overall, I left very impressed and will definitely return again in the future!

It was during this visit that I REALLY learned why it is important to stick to what you know.    I got three services: a chocolate bikini wax, eyebrow threading and upper lip wax. The only one that went right was the upper lip wax.    Eyebrow threading - I woke up with little scabs underneath one of the brows. This has never happened to me before. I don't have a lot of eyebrow, let's get that clear, but I do know they could have been shaped better. Other places I've been too may take an extra minute or two to make sure the shape is perfect. This was super quick and you can tell.    Bikini Wax - I get this type of wax all the time, I've got a wax lady and god do I regret cheating on her. The lady literally left me bleeding. I have NEVER bled before. And she had the audacity to tell me that my skin is sensitive and that this is normal. Maybe it is, but I have definitely never bled before. Like... what the hell?! The wax wasn't even super clean so I had to go back in a day or two later to fix it up a little.    Safe to say I will not be going back and I genuinely couldn't even try to pretend to recommend it. There are other places with similar prices that I'm sure will do a better job.
