Small hardware store. The man working the paint desk, which also seemed to be the help desk was assisting another customer when I got there. I stood patiently in line, thinking I was next. About 10 minutes later when I thought it was my turn, he informed me that there was somebody else he was going to help first, and that it was gonna take a really long time. At that point, I was a little frustrated because he could've told me that while I was standing in line waiting for the first person to get done. however, I simply asked him if there was someone else that could help me. He said there's one other person I'll have to see if she's busy. Then he proceeded to help the other lady with her paint, never called for the other lady, and at that point, I got pretty irritated. I stood there, probably looking defeated when I noticed that the cashiers area had emptied out. So looked at the cashier, who asked if she could help me and I told her what I needed, and she said go ahead over by aisle 10 and I'll send someone over to help you. So a few minutes later, maybe 55 maybe less, a lady came over to help me and it took a while for her to find what I needed. I guess she didn't really know what I needed, but she tried. So my biggest complaint is that guy at the helpdesk/paint desk. As soon as I got in line, he should've said ma'am by the way, there's somebody else in front of you who's going to take a long time so you might want to go to the cashiers and see if there's another person who can help you. Instead of ignoring mecompletely even after he told me he would get somebody else to help me I was there probably over an hour to get a couple Molly screws. Have I been more familiar with the hardware store with Molly screws? I probably could've found them myself, but I'm just not my neighbor sent me to get them because my curtain rod fell down. read more

This place has good service. I grew up with a Father and Grandfather who fixed everything. My Grandfather built two homes from the ground up and my Dad was into fixing and flipping houses way before there was a tv show for it. If they didn't know, they figured things out or asked a friend. I can recall many a weekend hitting the local hardware store with my family. I think I was more familiar with this (hardware) grown up toy store than the actual toy shop in my town. Fast forward several years and I need to fix and find out "how" to handle household repairs. My Father and Grandfather are gone so when I go to big box store I wander around the aisles and frequently leave even more confused than when I entered. When I go to this Ace Hardware someone greets me and asks me what I am looking for. They offer advice and have quality products. We need to keep this type of store going, because they take you to the section or sections and offer guidance. Big box stores may have more items but many times you buy more than you need. Some of the Ace items like lawn sprayers have lifetime warranties if you keep the receipt. I taped my reciept to the top of the sprayer box at the store before I left. This particular Ace specializes in Green Egg BBQs and they recently had a customer appreciation cookout where they offered burgers, chicken sandwiches and hot dogs. Plus they gave me some to take home to my husband for lunch! I love shopping at Ace, but free food really makes me a loyal customer. At the same time they got me thinking about grills so that I was admiring their Green Egg and smokers. I am a member of the Ace Rewards and you can easily get coupons and rewards. They have good sales in their flyers and a few times I got excellent bargains on a blower and a weed eater they had on clearance. read more

Last night (March 14 2022) was the last time I come to this store, I'll go anywhere else and drive 3x more even if I need just 1 screw! I called the store to confirm what time they would close and asked the latest I could get there for a propane fill, on the phone I was told I could get there 10 minutes before the store close and they would get it done... When I got to the store, 12 minutes before closing time I saw another customer leaving pissed because they refused to fill his propane tank, I told her I was the one who called and I got there by the time we agreed on the phone, the cashier (the person who I spoke on the phone) told me the manager (Jessica) was the one calling the shots and decided to close the propane filling station and would not provide me, or the other customer, the service. On another note regarding propane fill here, Flat rate to fill propane tanks, sucks! I really don't need to pay more to fill a tank that was half full... HI Susan I tried to call. I had been looking for an adapter for my water purification machine to hook up to my kitchen faucet for 3-4 weeks. I called everyone, the company that I bought the system from, Delta faucets, a plumber came to the house, Home Depot, Lowes, Fergusons, etc...I was at the end of my rope. I went to Ace Hardware and Fernando listened to me and everything I had to say, took my adapter, got on the floor and looked through all the adapters and finally figured out, that I needed to take off a piece from the diverter so the adapter could work! $4.99 later I had my adapter!! So so grateful for him being persistent in solving the puzzle. What a great Christmas gift!! read more

Terrible and weird customer service. Went to get key made. Went to pay for it at the front but was told by a weird asian guy at the front cashier that they cant copy my keys. So after waiting 15 minutes I went to look for the guy, he was rolling around the floor like he was drugs or something. I tried talking to him but no response or eye contact.Strangest thing Ive ever seen! Finally I paid and left. Never saw that weird guy again. He just disappeared. read more

I went to ace hardware for propane. I walked in and there were 2 people in line in front of me. The cashier finishes #1 and helps #2 (mean while there is nobody behind me). As the cashier is helping #2, an employee walks behind the counter with a piece of pipe and writes some numbers on it an puts it on the counter saying something in Spanish to the cashier. A guy appears behind me. The cashier finished #2, picks up the pipe and tells the guy behind me to come around! "Hello, am I not standing here?" I said! The customer says "they had to get me a price on this." Because I should care? There's 2 of us in line and I have nothing in my hands to check out and delay him, I needed a propane tank refill. So, whatever. Now I'm waiting behind #3. My phone buzzes..... I pull it out and look at it and it was my wife texting. I wrote a 6 word reply, looked up and the cashier called someone else over in front of me!!! After voicing my displeasure with her I walked out. Terrible service. Bought paint "guaranteed one coat coverage..." on the can AND Ace paint rep says, "Perfect coversge in one coat...primer in the paint..covers over any color." I am painting over light beige walls. This paint is NOT covering the walls in one coat!!! Color (beige) under is bleeding through! I called the store, spoke with Tim. He only wanted to blane it on the brush (using a Purdy-top quality). Then he claims I wasn't putting enough paint on brush. Finally, he puts me on hold and returns to phone says manager said to call the 800 number on the can. I asked to speak with the manager. I was put on hold for nearly an hour until they disconnected the call. No one answered when I called back. NEVER, again will I go to Ace Hardware. Obviously, this franchise owner should be an "undercover" shopper to see what customers are experiencing. Not all is good at this location. read more

Ericka and John were amazing with helping us get our new car key. They had to program a new key and worked well together the entire time. It took roughly 15-20 minutes for the entire process, and they even called in to the company which provides the program and equipment, just to ensure they did everything right. The old advertisements are exactly right. "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man (or woman)." This store is exhibit A in what is great about small hardware stores and wrong with the big boxes, ie. people who know their merchandise, can take you to it, and offer advice on solving the little and big irritants that invariably come with having a house. At Ace you don't have to by a box or bag of screws, or fasteners when one will do. That is a plus in my book. read more

Went into Ace to have keys made. Went to the back and stood there until the employee went off on working for Ace. Then she asked me if I wanted any help. I had her make me six keys and when she was done she just tossed my keys on the counter. All the time she was complaining about working for Ace and not going to help any customers in the paint department. After I got home two of the keys she made would not work. I'll go somewhere else to get keys made. Don't want to deal with this store or this employee again. It's sad to have such a bad attitude about the company that has given you a job and helps put food on your table. Do the company and the customers a favor. QUIT read more

Went in there to get a screen for one of my windows. Brought in the old one. Guy at the front desk tells me to take it to the back and someone will help me, as i'm walking i can hear the guy in the front talk in his little microphone and says "customer walking back needs screen window". The guy in the back talking to his buddy saying" it ain't happening today" in a really dick attitude. I turned around and left. I went in to return a can off aluminum anti-seize lubricant that a purchased the previous week. I lost the receipt but I had the card I used to pay for it. I explained this to the girl behind the counter she looked at me like I was bothering her then she said she could not give me a refund. I asked her to scan it and see that it was their product she scanned it and asked me what day I purchased it I said on the previous Friday she said no it was not that day I new she was lying. I asked again for help she would not help me and she barely spoke any English so I new that was part of the problem. The only reason I went to ace was to get better service but I have to drive farther than Home Depot so I'm don't see any incentive to drive farther to get the same low quality service. I'm not going back to ace hardware I would rather drive even farther to go to Lowe's . read more
