My normal Ace Hardware store on OBT didn't have a comparable item so I gave Lowe's a try. When I was in the plumbing section, Rick, their customer service associate, gave me a really good recommendation on a replacement gasket. That has now proven to be a perfect fit. FORMAL CUSTOMER COMPLAINT -- LOWE'S HAS FAILED TO RESOLVE A BASIC DELIVERY ISSUE I am extremely disappointed with Lowe's handling of my recent zero-turn mower purchase. Before buying, I specifically asked whether anything could prevent the mower from being delivered and used properly. I was assured there were no issues. However, when Lowe's attempted delivery, the mower arrived without a key and was unusable, so I had to send it back. Lowe's later told me the key had been lost and instructed me to purchase a replacement. After being directed to a universal key at another Lowe's location, I purchased it, only to discover that it did not work. I am now on my third trip to Lowe's trying to resolve a problem Lowe's created. I have also made two calls to customer service and two attempts to reschedule delivery so there would be time to obtain and verify the correct key. Instead, I was told the delivery could not be rescheduled because store personnel were effectively locked out of the system. This has resulted in: * 3 trips to Lowe's * 2 customer-service calls * 2 failed rescheduling attempts * Multiple hours of my time * The cost of an unusable replacement key * A mower I still cannot use * Significant frustration and inconvenience The issue is not simply that a key was misplaced. Mistakes happen. The unacceptable part is Lowe's failure to take responsibility afterward. Lowe's delivered unusable equipment, lost the key, directed me to purchase a replacement that did not work, and then failed to provide a workable delivery solution. This is not customer service. It is passing the problem from one failure to the next while expecting the customer to absorb the consequences. I am asking Lowe's corporate management to review this transaction and provide: 1. The correct key at Lowe's expense. 2. Confirmation that the key has been tested on this specific mower before delivery. 3. A delivery date that allows sufficient time to resolve and verify the key issue. 4. Reimbursement for the replacement key I was instructed to purchase. 5. Appropriate compensation for the time and inconvenience caused by Lowe's errors. 6. An explanation of why store personnel could not make a necessary delivery adjustment. 7. A management review of how this matter was handled from purchase through delivery and customer-service contacts. I purchased this mower expecting a complete, functional product and reasonable support. Instead, I have been left to fix Lowe's problem myself. Lowe's has an opportunity to correct this, but someone must take ownership. The question is no longer whether Lowe's made a mistake. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell. I walked around the gardening area and they have some many different plants and flowers, they look very well taken care of. This was my first time actually entering this Lowes. I've been out front to the Little hotdog stand several times now and that keeps me coming back. I was in need of a new showerhead today and since I was going to be shopping next-door, I went in to see if they had the one I was looking for I didn't find the one I was hoping for, but I did find what I can use. When I entered the store, I did have to ask what section they were in as I was unfamiliar with the layout of this one and didn't want to spend too long in the store. The gentleman I spoke to was friendly and pointed me in the right direction. Once I had what I was looking for, I went up to the front to a register and waited in line. It was once I was at the register that I realized it was the returns counter, but she also did sales so I didn't have to walk across the store. I did have a coupon that I received in the mail, but we couldn't get it to work and I was too worried about it cause it was a small purchase. I do get a credit for using my Lowes card. The store is much like every other one. Everything seemed clean and organized and I would definitely shop here again if I was in need of supplies for the home and I was in the area. 2024 update: I went in for chandelier light bulbs after finding what I needed online. Unfortunately when I got to the store, the dimmable option wasn't available. DANIEL helped me look, checked to see if they could be ordered, and then helped me find bulbs for a bathroom fixture. For my next project, I will look for DANIEL'S support. Kudos for this Lowe's Home Improvement location remaining open during Hurricane Nicole. On this particular day, I needed to have a key cut for household use. Initially, I couldn't find a team member to assist me however, one the cashiers paged the store and within a couple of minutes, Lily, helped get the key cut and I was on my way. I've always experienced good service at this location, including the many times Lowe's team members in the lawn and garden department helped me locate products I needed, moved items via forklift and assisted me in placing items in my vehicle. read more

Absolute failure on Lowes behalf. Spent a week trying to get the washer and dryer that was supposed to be set up and installed at time of delivery with zero luck. Hours and hours wasted and countless calls to Lowes with ZERO help. I will absolutely NEVER buy appliances from Lowes again. Second delivery screw up by Lowes in under a year. Day one, Thursday terrible communication during delivery. The driver arrived 40 minutes prior to the 4 hour delivery window. The driver called, but did not leave a message or respond to a text I sent him immediately after he called. Thus, I had no idea the delivery was going to happen early and I was not onsite. The driver then delivered the washer and dryer but did not set up or install as included in the sale per Lowes website. The driver also did not deliver the stack kit. Minutes after the delivery I called Lowes and let them know about the situation. I didn't get anywhere with an answer, so I told my assistant to follow up on it. Day two, Friday numerous calls to Lowes and no answer on when the installation and stack kit would arrive. Day three, Saturday morning at 7:30am I get a voicemail l from Lowes saying they are going to install it at 8:00am. At 8:10am I wake up to another call which I answer from Lowes saying they are at the property an no one is answering. I explain that I had no idea they were coming and they need to set an appointment. They had not notified my assistant of the planned Saturday morning arrival either. We agree on Monday for installation during a 4 hour window of 4:00pm to 8:00pm Day four, Sunday no communication Day five, Monday, Lowes is reminded numerous times that the stack kit was never delivered. They say it will come with the installers. I arrive on location at 3:30pm and wait to 8:30pm. No one from Lowes ever shows up or calls during the appointment time of 4:00pm to 8:00pm Day six, Tuesday, Lowes is notified that nothing has happened, Lowes keeps giving my assistant the run around. Day seven, Wednesday, Lowes still can't provide an answer on either the installation or the stack kit. I have to buy a second stack kit at my own expense and pay someone else $160 to install the washer and dryer. So now I am out $200 from Lowes, and Lowes could care less. They had a week to solve a simple problem and failed every step of the way. read more

I went to a gardening class today, so I am on a mission to plant everything!!! I went to Home Depot first - they had a very small selection from what I've seen in previous years. I decided to come take the ride to Lowe's. I wanted to see what other plants they might have. They had a few more options but somebody definitely needs to be out here watering these plants more. A lot of casualties that probably will not be able to be brought back to life. I did mention my concerns of these poor plants not being watered to two of the employees that were chatting in the garden area. They both said they were really short staffed so I said OK, I went to the customer service desk and just wanted to know if they are actually aware how bad the plants are outside??? The lady at the front was very nice however she said the same thing they only have one person working back there and they're doing their best. Sorry these are living plants that need water - somebody needs to take care of them -maybe a manager needs to stay over time??? It is an unfortunate experience coming here across town to see plants not being cared for. I will not return. In general the store is clean but my disappointment with how plants are being treated forces me to leave this review. I ordered a washer and dryer online to pick up. Realizing my mistake, I called the store and asked them to please change it to delivery (moving into a new home in less than 60 days) with the expectation it will be delivered 9/30. Their initial response was, "umm just cancel the order and do it again." I told them I used a 10% off coupon for changing my address. We went round and round until finally the third person I spoke to said "okay, we fixed it but I can't give you confirmation. It's changed internally." The next morning, I have a missed call and a voicemail saying, "Hi this is ___, I called in regards to the dryer you ordered. We no longer have the item in stock. We are going to go ahead and cancel that order and wanted to give you a heads up. Thank you so much." Not even five minutes later, I am on the phone with Lowe's telling them I do not consent to them canceling my order and that I think it is certainly in the realm of possibilities to find that exact dryer to be delivered within the next 58 days. I loved Lowe's and am shocked that despite all the news articles talking about employee layoffs due to the store's crash on the market that they continue to have an aloof attitude. Let me start by I understand the delays through Covid times however my order of 17,000.00 of cabinets was the worst experience i have ever had. first cabinets came with wrong sections with wrong color. then what was designed for the combination oven was the wrong size. re-ordering due to these mistakes were a major impact and caused even further delays to getting my kitchen completed. i cannot move into my house with a kitchen and here we are 6 months later and still don't have the correct size crown moldings and the rails on the cabinets are not working properly. Today, I came in to get a few items including a pool skimmer net. The selection of this particular item was minimal but I needed one so I picked one due to post-hurricane clean up needs. Sod was also on the item list and I check where they normally have it but it was empty. As per usual, I asked the gentlemen at the garden checkout if they had any sod and he had no clue. I gave that up and continued checking out. The pool skimmer had no bar code so he wanted to look it up. He did not know what the item was nor how to spell "skimmer." I had to spell it for him 6 times. I do not care regarding his lack of spelling knowledge, but he should have called someone to help instead of typing it in over and over to the search bar. I gave up and went home without one. The gentleman was very nice, to give him credit and be fair. The gardening department in particular has had trouble for years. I do not understand why they lack basic knowledge of their department nor why they cannot think past plan A if something is missing, not stocked, or does not have a bar code. When an employee who does not work there is filling in, they have never in the 8 years I have been going there offered to call anyone who can help. I have been to this lowes 3 separate times and each time, I rather witnessed another customer having arguments or difficulties with lowes workers or even myself having difficulties to simply apply a military discount or making a return. No other location do I have issues. I'm not sure if it's how their workers are trained or if the management team simply doesn't care because anytime you request a manager they are never to be found. This was the closest Lowes to me and needed paint. This was my first time here and not sure where to go. I looked up and saw the paint section lol.. I saw a guy and quickly asked him if someone could help me with paint color. He quickly got another guy over to help me out. The guy that was helping me I could barely hear him or understand him as he was mumbling. I had a picture of the paint color that I needed and told him how many gallons. I ordered a GE stack washer dryer and the machine was delivered with a door that wont close on the dryer and the driver returned the machine to the . the driver Brandon said this dryer came out of the sand lake store Lowe's and the machine is being returned to the same Lowe's on sand lake road. they refused to write damaged on the machine and the next day at 9 am Lowe's from sand lake had e Manuel deliver the same damaged dryer and then I waisted 90 minutes talking to Lowe's in the Caribbean islands and their supervisor said they returned my money which can take 10 days and Duane saide will have to reorder the GE washer dryer and to pay again. I had to pay a person 75 dollars on each day to help with my delivery and Duane of Lowe's said I cant help you with that. Duane said if you need next day delivery that will cost you 29 dollars. I ask Duane not to use the sand lake store that delivered the damaged dryer twice and he said you don't have a choice. I went through the process to get hired at this store, and although I was indeed hired, it became impossible to reach the hiring manager to continue my next steps to actually begin with the company. I found myself traveling over to this store over four times, seeking her, and other management to find out what to do next. No one knew where she was, and the workers at the front of the store were particularly helpless, not knowing anything. Then, after weeks with no comment, I get an email thanking me but letting me know I have been passed on. This after I've been told I'm hired. Ridiculous. It makes no sense to hire someone, and them "leave them in the lurch". Don't bother trying to get a job here. Even if they give it to you, they won't. After being transferred more times than i care to reminder when we asked about water heater installation of a particular model they carry 1. Finally found someone who took our american express to pay $35 so a plumber (most give you a free estimate) could come and inspectbinstallation to give us accurate pricing. 2. Their provider by the name of shamrock home services was excellent. They call, came and then they sent their estimate back to lowes.....several days ago 3. Who is on first What is on second - This reminds me of the old comedy skit: because we have yet to receive an estimate for which we payed $35 (evem though most plumbers will give you a free estimate) Them you call the store and could not even get the store manager. The location at West Sand Lake Rd is the one with the largest flower and Palm collection by far. The employee staff is the nicest to talk to as well! No lines or headaches when doing Returns. Furthermore, here you get 5% discount when using their Lowe's Credit Card. HD stopped giving discounts on credit cards and coupons so they lost my business. A noticeable difference between Lowes and the HD is the store is just a little less warehouse-y looking inside and more pleasant of a vibe. I think their target appeal is to the ladies more so than HD whom is targeting the worker husband. Showed up the day my contractor was ready to install, when we unpacked it was damaged. Thanks to Best Buy I have a great microwave. I ordered new door knobs, installed all but the last one and found out it was missing all the screws. This store did not have any of the same knobs but they suggested getting one that was close. When I said just refund they did not want to since it was missing screws. I just threw it out and picked up another from Home Depot. Will not spend another penny there.
