On April 4, 2022, I dropped off an edger for service. This edger had been serviced by Mower Station in June 2021 and was again having the same malfunction. I was required to give a $30 deposit in order to have the edger inspected. On April 19, 2022, my husband received a call that the edger was ready to be picked up and the charge would be $32. I was in the area on April 20, 2022 and stopped in to pick up the edger. However, I did not have my receipt. The receptionist, who happened to be the same person who I dropped the edger off with, was fine with giving me the edger without a receipt, but wanted to charge me $58.50. When I asked her if she had deducted the $30 off the repair charge, she said she could not because she did not have proof that I paid the deposit when I dropped it off. However, she was very adamant when I dropped it off that I could not leave it without a deposit. As a matter of fact, I even asked for a military discount and they did not offer that either. I asked her to call the owner, who was the one who called my husband to pick up the edger, and "all of a sudden," he did not remember the $30 deposit I paid either, although he was standing right there next to her the day I dropped it off. They were both insisting I pay the $58. The receptionist went further to say that she balances her register every day and that it has always balanced and that there was no record on my file of the $30. I asked her how can she say I did not pay when they adamantly told me that they don't accept equipment without deposits. She stated that sometimes they "waive" the deposit for some customers and that it could have been the case. So in other words, they can "waive" the deposit for some customers, but could not give us a military discount. I went back to my car and luckily found the receipt in my glove compartment. I had indeed paid the $30 with my debit card. I went back inside and gave her the receipt. She was very obnoxious. She did not offer any type of apology or even a thank you. I will NEVER bring any equipment to this place again. read more
