Stay away from this dealer. I purchased a replacement Honda mower carburetor from their online dealer. They don't answer the phone and direct to Indian call center or third party using their name . The carburetor cost $25 and added another and $25 to ship to store (Suspicious). The carburetor arrived at the St. Cloud store the following week. Upon opening this 'OEM' part it appeared to be a refurbished part and not new. The housing appeared to be cleaned and pitting removed. Mower did not start after installation. I then ordered $25 non OEM part off Amazon, which included as part spark plugs, gaskets and fuel filter all for $25. arrived the next day. Worked like a charm. Everglades refused to give me my money back. I've purchased two Honda mowers from their store. Horrible customer service, unscrupulous parts network and not very nice service after the sale. Buy your parts on Amazon. Cheaper, quicker and good return policy, none of these attributes can be found at Everglades St. Cloud store. Nasty counter folks as well. Not accountable to anyone. I have been bring my John Deere 735 for service for a couple of years, I felt that the pricing was always a little high but felt the service was done well and just took it on the chin... In August 2018 I brought the mower back in for service they charged me over 750.00 for tune (Plugs, Oil, Blades and Belts) Pick it up and belt immediately started slipping while I was mowing and belts were smoking. Brought it back to them they put a new belt on it and charged me again. I told them they had just replaced it the day before but because the other belt was damaged (Due to there improper installation) I had to pay for it. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Being a guy that likes to do my own lawn, I was immediately impressed by the amount of equipment they have around this place. Walls are covered with trimmers, edgers, mowers and tons of other stuff. Made me want to try all of the fun toys, which would be a neat idea if you could. Went there for an edger repair and was told that it would take 7-10 days for an estimate, which seems nuts but I am on day 8 and still waiting. The staff at the register was nice and informative, but immediately seemed like he was trying to sell me on their equipment. The prices they have are often higher, significantly higher in some cases, than other local stores. Unless they can fix my edger, I will plan on taking my business to a more affordable location. read more

Service hourly rate is $79.99. I had many parts replaced involving both engine and the mower components in the pursuit of "bringing it back up to snuff !" $285.00 was the bill. The wrong cable parts were ordered first time which added another week turn around as my grass is now getting 10" tall. They did not use expedited shipping on correct parts so no consideration for my "growing" situation. They were told upfront I needed this back in one week. The wheel grease fittings were not touched. I guess they never bothered to test the newly installed cables cause when I got it home there was no self-propelled function. So I had to take it back so they could finish what they started. I found out Stihl now has electric pruning, hedging, etc. equipment; and, am absolutely lusting for some new equipment to maintain the 130 feet of fenceline, which is overgrown from my neighbors' "jungle" approach to landscaping. What poor sods we are for purchasing from this company. Picked up a pallet today and everything was dry, brown, and had obviously been through a freeze. A few weeks ago I picked up the very last pallet of sod from "1 Stop Sod and Landscaping" and it was gorgeous- this new crap from John Deere laid next to it today looks like a stark, sad contrast. I'm a little bleh about writing this particular review as we have had good experiences with them previous and getting what I wanted done, was done quickly, however the end result I am not exactly pleased with. I called them up to have my Z-235 picked up and the Platinum Package done. Again the people are always superb to talk with but this time I don't feel I got what I paid for. 1. There were not only extra scratches on my machine (the guy who picked it up said they were already there. They weren't. I love the guy he is awesome, so I wasn't going to really argue) but they weren't 2. The .. I don't know what to call it hehe, the rubber like... thing that sticks out the side where the grass flies out from? Also have damage on it. Nothing that stops it from working, but the damage is all on the top of it (scratches, gouches, etc) all of which were not there and if you saw my house you would realize I don't even have anything that exists that could cause it. Again not the end of the world, seriously not. 3. This is the one that sort of torques me though. I specifically told them one reason I am having it taken in is to have it washed really good, because I don't have a lift etc and getting under etc is really hard for me. This is part of the package, not a rinse, which I already did very thoroughly but a wash I realize it's not a detail shop :-), but its clear it was only rinsed. There is grass everywhere (hardened grass underneath in the blade area), in the engine compartments etc. I dunno.. for 270+ dollars for an oil chance and the blades (pseudo sharpened), I checked them, meh its an ok job. At least the wash would have made me feel better. Now I am a little be concerned with the oil chance and filter etc... As even the delivery guy was like wow how in the world did you get them to do it so fast... Only one way, it was shotty work. Again, I am not talking about ALL my instances, as I wrote up really long nice ones for all the nice ones, this one though, meh not so much...) pretty disappointed I'll still buy stuff from there, but I won't send my mower in to have it worked on, unless its covered warranty stuff. We walked into Landscape Supply, everything was so organized and clean. We went directly to the Stihl chainsaws and spotted the model that we've been researching about right away. Within a couple of minutes, a representative named Mike approached us and gave us some insights about the differences between the various models on display. We felt so confident we picked the right one after Mike's help and purchased the chainsaw from him. They even filled it with gas and ran it to make sure it works before we leave the door. Mike even demonstrated how to turn on and handle the chainsaw outside of the store after the sale. We were so impressed with the level of service we received. We decided to put landscaping rock around our home. One of my concerns was that during the delivery process the sidewalk didn't get damaged and my lawn would not get ruts from tires. I was told it wouldn't be an issue and they were right. No problems from the delivery going over 2 different sidewalks (corner lot) and lawn. Some of the stone wasn't exactly what we expected and we decided to contact the office. Our concern was taken seriously and Jim came out the next day to see what we were talking about. He agreed that it wasn't what he would want delivered at his home and promised it would be fixed. Since we were doing the work ourselves it took 3 weeks to get back to him, but when we did, he was right there and fixed it the way we thought it should be. No charge! We are very happy and will be using them again when we start planting fruit trees in the back yard. read more

I had John Deere at Landscape Supply Company pick up my John Deere zero radius riding mower because they advertised the pick up fee was included in a $500 service package. After the included oil change and filter, air filter, deck adjustments etc, they informed me the valves needed to be adjusted along with something else, can't remember what. Total bill, over $1000. Upset, of course I paid it, got my mower back, ran good when I put it in the shed until a cold start a few weeks later, first time using it. It struggles on a cold start. Runs on one cylinder. Next day, same thing. Called them asking for a manager. On hold for 15 minutes. Left a message. Tim, the Manager I asked for, called me back. In short, they'll pick it up. Could be a fuel pump but, I have to pay for the pick up. I said forget it. He called back saying, some supervisor he spoke to said they would pick it up and look at it. I asked, "Do I have to pay for the pick up?" Answer, "We'll have to look at it first." I said "forget it." I told him I was upset. That if they went as far as checking the valves and adjusting them, costing my hundreds more, I assumed they made sure the engine was running right when it left the shop. I don't ever write reviews. I'm too busy. Single parent of two teenaged girls working five nights a week. I feel like I got screwed. No effort has been made on the part of John Deere at Landscape Supply to even go half way with me. It's all about money and more money. So, they made their money...and I'll never go back. I'll go back to the John Deere closest to me where I brought it a few years ago, instead of trying to save the pick up fee. At least when they fixed it...they fixed it. read more

My husband and I used Landscape Supply, Co a year ago to purchase landscape rocks for our yard. We had excellent service and the rocks are beautiful. So when our neighbor decided to upgrade their landscaping we told them about our experience and how we also needed additional rocks for landscaping projects. It was a no brainer that we would call Landscape Supply, Co and order from them again. Here is where my story changes. In March 2015 we ordered 2 yards of rock just for our yard. Knowing we are now looking at another yard and some additional work in our yard we decided to order 4 yards of rock. So on March 28, 2016 I called the store and received a quote for the rocks and delivery. They were awesome and promised delivery the next day before noon. We couldn't have been happier until the rocks came. Once we saw the amount of rock on the truck the first thing from my husband's mouth was "That is less than two yards of rock" The delivery driver man kept insisting that "No that is 4 yards I watched the guy load it myself last night" Not wanting to call the poor man liar I just opted to call the store. After a bit of going back and forth with the clerk and store manager (Who were very nice by the way) we finally were told that the owner of the company would come out to our home and look/view what was delivered. Jim Lashley, the owner, showed up about 30 - 45 minutes after our call to the store. He looked at the rocks, measured the length width and height, did his calculations and determined it was only about 1.67 yards of rock. He apologized to my husband and me for the mistake and promised to make it right. Within a couple of hours of him leaving my home the truck was back with an additional 3 yards of rock. Once they were delivered I made sure to call Jim back to let him know how much I appreciated that he corrected the problem as quickly as he did. I know that the shortage in our original rock delivery was not his fault but as a person who cares he personally came out to take care of a problem. I thank you for that. Purchased sod based on reviews. Upon delivery at least 13 pieces, mostly at the bottom on one pallet, were rotted through, and smelled accordingly. Hoping we could recover the pieces, we worked diligently to revive them. No luck, but most of the other pieces did well given time. We also noticed 3 pieces were some other type of grass, it would appear to be centipede. It stands out drastically. When we called them to see if we could get replacement sections to cover the stuff that arrived rotten and wouldn't recover, or the 3 sections of another species, we were told quite plainly it wasn't their problem, but we were free to buy more. Regardless of what proof we could provide, pictures etc. Fine with me, I will make sure to direct my business, and anyone I talk to, elsewhere, since they can't stand by their product or delivery. read more

He got very frustrated when he couldn't pull my order up with my phone number, then got even more angry as I spelled out my email adress for him. Then out no where he told me that I was too sarcastic to deal with and he would rather just cancel my order. Then went on a long rant how he doesn't need to deal with customers and would rather I talk to his supervisor. Very impressive that the owner answers questions on his cell phone even when the store is closed!!! The service guys are very knowledgeable and informative. My dad told me that my equipment probably wasn't worth fixing but I had them look at it anyway. They charge a fee to do that but when I decided it wasn't worth the cost of fixing it they put the fee towards the cost of the new weedeater that I bought. I thought that was more than fair!!! DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING PRACTICES. Sod prices do not include mandatory purchase of wooden pallet. Everglades (formertly Landscape supply) will not refund the money you payed for the pallet (pallet deposit) when you return the pallet. For example if the price for Floratam is $165 you are really paying $173. It's like if you see a price of $299 for a Stihl chain saw and when you buy it you are told you only get the saw for $299 if you buy the carrying case for $50 more. There are many places where you can get better sod at a better price. Do some shopping. Notice to everglades: Change your advertised price to reflect the non-refundable pallet deposit and include notation in advertised price that pallet is not refundable. No where on their sales receipt does it say that pallets are non-refundable. Shame on you for this deceptive practice. Terrible Ripoff Artists We just got back from driving all the way to their store on South OBT, to buy one of the used mowers they have advertised. They did not have any used mowers. They had "just sold them all." That's right -- the mowers you see advertised on the site right now? They don't exist. Oldest con in the book, and we felt like idiots when we fell for it and drove out there only to be told we could purchase a brand-new mower for twice what they were advertising the used ones for. I told them they were ripoff artists and they looked blankly at me. I warned them I would tell Yelp. So I am. Don't waste your time driving out to this store to buy their used merchandise. It's just a lure to get you in the door and then overcharge you for new mowers you could have purchased from a business right next door, without driving all the way to South OBT. Brought my chainsaw here to get repaired. Had some issues with my chain. I got call with an estimate two days later on the phone and was shocked it was $240. I mentioned that was more than half the price of the saw when I bought it and if they could cut their parts prices because they seemed high. They called back later that day and said after looking at the saw again that they think you really don't need to replace your chainsaw bar as we thought before. That now brought the price down to $150 so I said please go ahead with repair it. I picked it up a few days later and used it that weekend. I got a call from them on the following Monday and they mentioned that they may have forgotten to put a washer back onto the spur sprocket and to please bring it back to check it out. Lets just say I was very surprised at this and wondering way things like this aren't checked the first time it leaves their shop from a repair. Now I'm afraid to use my own chainsaw and need to drive 25 miles to see if the washer made it back onto the spur sprocket. I brought it back in a few days later. It took the tech about 10 minutes to check it out in the back. The front counter person brought back and said everything is fine and the washer is on it. My big question was did they just put the washer on it now. Overall, the basic repair was over priced and I had to bring it back to double check the repair tech that he put all the parts back onto the saw during the repair. read more

Ordered sod before memoral day to be picked up Tuesday after memoral day there was only one pallet there and I was told it was fresh. I picked up half the pallet and came back for the other half when I picked up the other half I told them that the sod was very hot in the center and I was told that it would be good. After ten days of rain I had 90 dead pieces of sod when I returned the pallets I told the manager and he said he was not going to do anything about it. He never even offered to check with the loader to see if the sod was left from Thursday. He kept telling me that the sod was fresh and they do not sell old sod. Avoid this business like the plague. Sorry for the tacky cliché but avoid Landscape Supply (LS). I purchased a walk behind lawn mower from LS about a year ago that has a 3 year warranty. After a few uses it started to have a rough idle and apparently one of the throttle wires was crimped but it still ran. I brought it over to LS, when the self propelled motor stopped working. I was required to pay $42.00 refundable deposit to have it diagnosed (if the repair was under warranty it was to be refunded). After about 10 days they finally diagnosed it and informed me the belt had slipped off of the motor and the cable needed adjustment. Moreover, they felt that for "good measure" they needed to replace the carburetor and sharpen the blade. While the belt/cable problem was under warranty, the carburetor was not. This was just an extra $156, well actually $200 minus my $42 deposit. When I told them not to fix the carburetor just what was under warranty, I was told my deposit was not refundable. I reminded them of what I was told when I dropped it off but was informed since there was some grass and dirt in the motor; the $42 was an extra fee to clean that out. What did they expect to find in a lawn mower bars of gold? When I asked to speak with the manager "Mike" I was informed not surprisingly that he was unavailable. I told them my next step was to call the head office of MTD/Cub Cadet in Ohio and LS said I don't know what that will do. I spoke with an amazingly helpful service representative at MTD and relayed my problem. He told me not to dispute the $42 charge on my credit card but MTD would give it back to me if LS would not and that he would parlay with them about my repair. About a half an hour later LS called me back and said since I misunderstood they would refund my deposit. I didn't misunderstand; I know what I was told. Landscape Supply wants to add unneeded repairs to get ever penny they can from you (screw the warranty work). Just look over their reviews on the Internet and their "F" rating on BBB. I sent copies of these reviews to the head office so they can judge for themselves if they want this business handling their products! read more

Watch out of the quality of their grass! I have purchased sod from Landscape Supply Co. over the last few years on several occassions. The first time, I just got one pallet of sod for my front yard and the quality was great, so I went there again for sod for my back yard. Big mistake. I bought 6 pallets and had it delivered. When putting it down, I noticed that there were some bugs, but I did not think much of it. About a week later the lawn was full of bugs and started to show bald spots. I called them, but they were not able to do anything about it, they said because having bugs is normal. My front yard is looking great, but the 6 pallets that I put down in my back yard were horrible. No solution, no discount, nothing. I stopped by there today, as I had to change the blad on my edger and I could not get the bolt loose. I figured that they would have the tools and that I would ask them to losen it for me. Well, after standing in line for 20 minutes (which I didn't really minded as I was hoping that they would help me, so in the meantime I looked around for some other supplies that I needed), I asked them if they could loosen one small bolt. The answer was "yes, that will be $5".... what? $5 to loosen a bolt? I can understand if I was asking for repairs to be done and I would totally expect to be charged for this, but to loosen one bolt. It literally took them 10 seconds. I had them put it on my Amex card and they gave me a receipt for it so in the end with credit card fee's, they only made $4, but lost a customer for life. Not a very good strategy. By the time everything was all set and done, I took 30 minutes and I was out $5,32 (incl taxes), but at least I did not spend any more money at this store and I will not be back. Again very disappointed in the customer service. They have some great products, but it appears that they only cater towards the professional companies and not the individual consumer. I just read Gabe's review from last year, but it appears that tehy changed over their company policy for helping customers without a charge, because they did not blink an eye, when they said it was going to be $5, take it or leave it... I will take it, but will not be back. Hope this review is helpfull to you and you will think twice before you give your business to Landscape Supply Co. Go to Home Depot! I am not in to buying cheap tools that last one season, I am willing to pay extra for quality and that is what i get with stihll products. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner one Saturday when i brought my product back for warranty work, not only was my problem handled on the spot and returned to me in minutes under warranty, but I also learned a lot about the man and the products he sells. I would highly recommend this company and their products to all in the market, this business was built by a hard working man who has knowledge and people skills, like any venture you undertake know and understand your environment and boundaries before doing business this will help in the process. I have read other reviews and quite frankly do not believe them after meeting the owner, the warranties are there and they do work, and the staff is helpful and knowledgable. When paying for service work you will put a deposit and it will be applied to the repair if you authorize them after estimate, any deposit not applied will be returned.
