It was quite expensive just for the transmission evaluation and if I needed more work it would not be discounted in any way. Despite their polite attitude and fast service, I took it to another dealer which was half the cost for an evaluation and their report was the complete opposite of Lake Sumter Trans!! They suggested a transmission flush and fluid replacement and it absolutely worked. It also cost half as much for what I was quoted at Lake Sumter! My truck is running like brand new. I appreciate the time they took to try and help but there is always a benefit in having a 2nd opinion. Even their explanation of why my engine has issues was totally wrong. They stated it is one of the worst engines/trans and yet the other place said they hardly ever have any issues with this engine and that it is super reliable and low maintenance. They suggested a flush of trans fluid would probably fix it. I guess just google info and kinda know what you are dealing with before you go so you know the "motor" language and don't get talked into something that doesn't sound right. So glad I went to a second place. I was about to sell off my beautiful 2019 Chevy truck with 52,000 miles on it and in mint condition bc I thought I would be spending over $7,000 on a transmission. I went to drive it on Sunday to the shop and I lost my brakes, needless to say I am so beyond upset. I was able with my husbands help to bring it to a shop near my home for repair. Even without an appointment, they promptly pulled my car up to a service door to see what they could do to help. One tech instantly noticed a screw in the tire tread. Less than 10 minutes later the screw was out, the tire patched and I was on my merry way. Only cost $30. Great deal to me With so many tire stores around, I chose Barnett Tire as they have been servicing our tire needs on our truck, trailer and rv for almost 11 years now. Spouse has always brought vehicles so this was my first actual experience.
