Why haven't I discovered this restaurant until now!?!! I guess it's better late than never! As you can see I'm very happy with this place! We came here for lunch to celebrate my father's birthday and everyone loved it. Each meal was loved by the person who ordered it and by the people who sampled it. My father, sister and niece ordered a steak sandwich. This looked amazing and was the loved by them. My uncle ordered a linguica sandwich and he and my father shared sandwiches. They were smart to do that so they can satisfy their tastebuds with 2 great flavors. My nephew ordered a hamburger. The size of this patty was huge and the meat flavor was fresh and definitely of good quality. My brother in law got a cheesesteak and I got a French dip. The meat on our sandwiches was so tender and melted in our mouth! The meat had no gristle and again of good quality. As a side to our sandwiches some of us chose Portuguese beans which I loved. I want to go back and order this to go one day because I can imagine eating cornbread with it at home while relaxing on a rainy day. Others ordered onion rings which were hand dipped and crispy wonderful rings of pleasure! We also had fried pickles. This isn't something I would ever think about ordering, however from this place I definitely would order again. They must have been hand dipped also. They were so good and addicting. The service here was the best I've experienced in a long time. We all enjoyed our waitress and hope to have her again when we return. (Because we all decided this would be a place we frequent often!) The prices were good. A bit more than a usual sandwich/lunch place but you get what you pay for and we were happy to pay what we did for our meal. I'm not sure what the dinner menu is like. I am looking forward to returning for dinner. It's got to be amazing if our lunch was so good. We will be back for our next family celebration! I will be back before that though. I can't stop thinking about it so I already know I'll be back soon. read more

Wandered in after a visit to nearby town of Locke. Stepping inside, the first thing you see is the bar, which made me think it wasn't going to be a welcoming place for my son and I to eat. GLAD I WAS WRONG! We found a table in the back room where we were served by the nicest server. She was able to help us with some food recommendations and quickly delivered Tony's beans to the table. My son quickly commandeered the entire bowl and our server found him licking it clean once it was empty. To our surprise, the cook sent out another serving for him, which he also devoured. I had the patty melt on sourdough, my dad had the philly, and kiddo ordered fish from the kids menu (but filled up on the beans :D). The food was delicious and the experience was made better by the server and cook, who seemed to truly enjoy serving delicious food with a smile. Kiddo is looking forward to returning, and so am I! read more

Quite surprised, came by for lunch on Sunday and ordered the cheesesteak sandwich with fries and the meat was quite delicious and the fries were great. Crisp on the outside and perfectly done. For $18 can't beat it ! read more

So Tonys has been a staple for years but seems like things have changed. Prices went up which I understand but the $40 steak was thin! It was much more like a breakfast steak than a $40 dinner steak. The service was amazing! The young lady (looked to be American Indian) was busy but she did a great job! Its not easy to be the only server and have every table full but she was a real pro. The Portugue beans were as always superb. I saw some burgers being served to other tables and I will definitely come back to try their burger. All in all Im hoping it was a fluke and they just cut the steaks a little thinner than usual? Gonna have to go back for the great service and that burger and who knows, maybe the steaks will get back to Tony's normal thick cut steaks? I sure hope so. read more

OMG! Run don't walk to this place. If you're a French dip lover. The roll is so fresh and soft. The shaved rib steak melts in your mouth. The au jus is very flavorful without being salty or greasy. My partner had the philly cheese steak and was so happy. We can't wait to try dinner here. I was so busy talking about the food I didn't mention that the service is friendly and efficient. read more

This was my Wife and I's second visit to Tony's this year. Our first back in May was a wonderful experience. Great bar and excellent meal. Just recently we were in Lodi for the street faire and came to Tony's that night. The Bartender was telling us that there had been an ownership change. When we sat down to eat dinner, they were short of wait staff so the evening Bartender did double duty and she was great. However, with virtually nobody in the dinning room but us our two steaks took forever to come out and both arrived well overcooked. We were very hungry by that time and didn't complain but were not very happy with the meal. If you're going to charge $40+ for a steak dinner you'd better have someone cooking who knows how treat steak. It will be some time before we return. read more

We were visiting few friends in Isleton, we decided to get dinner at Tony's. Eight of us arrived at 5:30 with a reservation. The place quickly filled up so the service was slow, but we saw that the waitresses were running around as fast as they could and the cook was busy. Food was comfort food. Lots of steaks, potatoes and chicken parmesan. I ordered their New York Steak Salad with blue cheese dressing on the side. I got it medium and it was perfect! We also got fries, calamari and onion rings for appetizers. All great! They had a full bar, so few of us enjoyed beers and Lemon drop martinis. read more

What a true hidden gem! We went in Saturday evening and it was a packed house. We were seated quickly and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Chicken Parm. OMG! Chicken so tender, marinara was so savory! Parents had Fish and Chips and Chicken Fried Chicken. Gravy was so flavorful and peppery ( just how we like it!) and the cod was fried to perfection ( crispy not greasy). Chef came out towards the end of our meal and she got plenty of applause. We will definitely make this a River road stop soon! Thank you Shirley for a great meal! read more

Been here before, but some things have changed fro the better. We were a very large crowd for lunch and they took good care of us. No complaints about the food and the service was spot on. My oriental chicken salad was very good and the dressings were excellent, the onion rings were large and hot and plenty! V had a mushroom burger with fries, tasty but a little too medium for someone who like rare - med rare. The Portuguese beans were good, especially with the added pepper sauce. Good meal, good service. We will be back if in the area again. We love the drive down the Sacramento River and its rivertowns. read more

My girlfriend and I have been to Tony's from time to time, recently when we went to have a bite to eat, the place was looking so run down and dirty. From all the dust and flys on the walls, to the dirty silverware and nasty foggy glass cups, this place just wasn't the same. On top of that terrible experience, our waitress seemed to always just be hanging out at the bar throwing back shots more than she was serving any cocktails to the patrons. This place just sucks now and we won't return read more

Went there for dinner tonight with my family and had a great meal!!! great service and awesome food! I had the Chicken fried Chicken and it was perfect! My Husband had the Fish and chips and they were excellent! My daughter had the Chicken Parm and loved it! Chef Shirley was great! We will make this a regular stop from now on! We are so glad we ventured out and tried this place out. Upon entering the wonderful feel of cold ac hits you. Nothing is worse then a hot restaurant. We were greeted immediately and given a table. This place is spotless, I mean super clean. The restroom was stocked and clean! They served lunch and I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and hubby had steak sandwich. We both got their Portuguese beans . The entrees come with two sides so we did potato salad and fries which were both handmade and fresh. We received our food quickly and it disappeared quickly too!! We can't wait to come back and bring our family and friends. The owner was amazing and talkative and made you feel so comfortable. Our waitress was a sweetie also. Amazing bar and great food! Super friendly service. The salad is amazing and for the dressing I recommend half of the "house" dressing and half ranch or blue cheese. The garlic bread is simple but toasted perfectly and all servings are very generous. The Portuguese beans were amazing! I highly recommend with the hot sauce. And always with garlic bread. read more

Been there now several times, bar and restaurant. Very friendly staff. Old time bar. I love the food. Six of us meet there and no one has ever been disappointed. We've had most everything on their menu between all of us. I'll be be making the 25 minute trip soon to get food to go this time. Don't know if it's always the same woman chef, she was there on October 8th. She was excellent as was Brandy. All the staff seems caring. read more

Went back for lunch. Even better than dinner. Went with a group of four. Two of us had the steak sandwich. I had the French dip and my wife had the cheeseburger. Everything cooked perfectly to our tastes. Two sides come with the lunches. So we had salads with Tony's original dressing as well as onion rings French fries and beans. Everything so yummy . We had a bottle of cab to top it off. Sonny our server was great. Nice clean restaurant area. We will be back. read more

OMG I we had dinner at Tony's tonight and it was so good! We haven't been in several years even though we live in Walnut Grove. Went tonight, had the Steak with mushrooms and onions. I ordered it medium rare + (between medium and medium rare, depending on the chef) and it came out perfect! Definitely prime meat used here now, delicious! I got the famous beans, and almost missed Tony coming over to put Pepper sauce in them and kiss my cheek, but not quite! Our server, Brandy, was fabulous, professional, pleasant and friendly, even though the place was jammed! Great prices too, you have to check this out! Oh, the broccoli side was cooked perfectly, baked potato succulent, and the salad had the freshest lettuce I have had outside in awhile, I do appreciate that! Check it out for lunch too, and bring your book club! read more

Went here yesterday on a Sunday with a couple family members. I'm all for having fun but there were some people across from us in the dining area that were super loud. It was ridiculous. We didn't say anything but wish the waitress would have sad something it was that bad. Thank goodness they left after we'd been there a little while. Took to long for our food and there was only one other table occupied. The food must have been waiting for the waitress because the fries were soggy and cold. Me and my niece had fries and really could not eat them. The waitress was really spaced out as well. Maybe hungover or??? I'm sorry for the not so good review. I did leave a decent tip because I know it's not easy. read more

And I was so surprised when they came!!! 3 huge fish tacos with slaw, plenty of crispy fish, smashed avocado, and spicy sauce. It was delicious!!!!! I could only eat one, I was filled after eating one fish taco!!!!!! I will defiantly be returning for these fish tacos!!!!

My favorite spot to hang out with strangers and friends talking about whatever comes to mind. Absolute chill vibe.

We chose to sit inside, and the indoor space is beautifully done with vaulted wood ceilings, exposed beams, warm lighting, and comfortable cushioned seating that makes it easy to settle in. From what we could see, the outdoor seating looks equally inviting, especially with the string lights, open views, and waterfront setting. I can imagine it being especially nice at sunset or on a warm evening. We started with potstickers that tasted homemade and were excellent. They came out hot with a flavorful dipping sauce and disappeared quickly. For drinks, my partner ordered a lemon drop that was bright and well balanced. I asked for a whiskey sour, which wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to make one for me. It was decent, though not as memorable as the lemon drop. For dinner, we ordered General Tso's chicken, snow pea chicken, and rice. Both dishes were outstanding. The General Tso's sauce was perfectly executed, flavorful without being overly sweet, and the chicken was tender with a crisp coating. Even the broccoli was cooked just right, still slightly crunchy but fully done. The snow pea chicken had a lighter, savory sauce and was equally well prepared. Service was attentive throughout the evening. Our drinks were refreshed promptly, the food came out in good time, and a woman who appeared to be one of the partners stopped by our table to check on us personally. She was warm and engaging and mentioned they serve the best Chinese food in the Sacramento and Delta region. After the meal we had, that claim felt justified. Even the restrooms were clean and thoughtfully maintained, which is always a good sign. Between the quality of the food, the comfortable setting, and the inviting Delta atmosphere, this is absolutely a place we would return to. We don't give out five stars lightly, but this one earned it.

THE SETUP Goldfields is a charming, rustic country-western stylized saloon that serves up beer at good prices. But we weren't interested in beer and wanted quality cocktails. Hence, our pivot next door to the Tack Room! QUALITY COCKTAILS & DRINKS! The Tack Room specializes an amazing array of martinis, bourbons, and other deLISH cocktail drinks at really really reasonable prices! So this was an excellent choice to chill, thus avoiding the tremendous *noise pollution* we were immediately subjected to upon entering Goldfields an hour later for our show. To our surprise, every table that arrived after us was served their meals while we continued to wait. We politely asked about our appetizer and were told the server would check on it. After another 15 minutes passed, there was still no update, apology, or explanation. In total, we waited 45 minutes with no appetizer, no food, and not even a check-back to see if we needed drink refills. We felt completely overlooked. Eventually, we got up and went to the server to close out our tab. Once again, there was no explanation and no attempt to resolve the situation. We were simply charged for our drinks and left, deciding to dine at another restaurant few doors down. We were really hoping this would become a cute go-to spot for a nice meal since the menu looked very appealing. Unfortunately, the lack of basic customer service and communication made for a very frustrating experience. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their service.
