Getting grub

Meet Roxy super friendly and nice! We ordered the chicken bowl for my sons lunch told her that and she immediately told me there is a peanut sauce they have in the bag so we if he is allergic not give him good thing she told me because my son sure does have a peanut and tree nut allergy so she took it out the bag! My son enjoyed the food he said it was "fire" his classmates asked him where he this food! Ordered the fresh watermelon juice and that was also "fire" Mini bibingka is yummy! I called my order in the second time around and when I arrived in 15mins food was ready I just had to pay! So I would recommend you call! You could order through uber eats and door dash!

We came here and tried the pork skewer. It was tasty and well marinated. The meat was tender and had the perfect char flavor! I would come back again for skewers!

An outdoor dining, grilled food that's cook for you! Food : excellent Service : excellent Ambiance : outdoor Looking for a delicious outdoor sitting or to go? This is the place that serves delicious grilled food- it's worth a wait! Located in the plaza surrounded with Asian food ( mainly Filipino restaurants, Thai & Chinese) you'll love it!

Nasty lady

We called for food pickup, and when we came to pick up, we went 15 minutes later just in case they were behind. Guess what? It was still not ready. Then this lady here already has an attitude. How can you be in the serving industry if you have a bad attitude? Stay in the kitchen if you can't handle customer service! This lady acts like she owns the place. I'm guessing she's Tony's daughter or somewhat related to him because she acts like she's the boss. My husband asked for vinegars because we ordered 15 pieces of chicken, and she said there's one vinegar included. I told her we ordered 15 chickens and asked for 10 of those little vinegars because no one is going to share vinegars at our party; that's disgusting! She immediately gave a rude face and went to the back, saying she would ask. What do you mean you will ask? If I ordered 15 pieces of chicken individually and ask for vinegar for each order, you should give me the vinegars anyway! Then she gave me four vinegars and said that was all they had left, then walked away. Rude and unprofessional! This will be my last time coming here, and hopefully that lady finds an old grumpy tita to match her energy and put her in place. Don't ever come here!

Great local eats if you're craving for classic Filipino BBQ. Service was great and when you order, they will give an approximate wait time. For us, it was a 30 minute wait. I love that they cook everything fresh. Food came out swinging with savory flavors like I was in the Philippines. The chicken inasal was tender and juicy. The Java rice was awesome! My salmon belly was like Wagyu! Melts in my mouth goodness. Friendly people behind the counter. We were in the area for an event and so glad this place is on our way home to Simi Valley.

If I could give more stars, I would. From the moment we walked into Tony's BBQ, we felt genuinely welcomed--not just as customers, but like old friends coming home. The space smelled like comfort food and care, and that's exactly what we got. Chef Jon was the heart of the kitchen--he came out personally to greet us, made sure our food was fresh, hot, and made with love. You can tell he takes pride in every single dish that leaves his grill. Every bite was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with intention. Meanwhile, Mel at the register brought a whole different kind of magic--kindness and warmth that made the ordering experience feel easy and personal. She was attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in how we were doing. Her energy just made everything brighter. The food? The service? Impeccable. The vibe? Like a BBQ made by family, for family. I don't usually write reviews, but service this sincere deserves to be celebrated. Thank you, Chef Jon and Mel--you turned a regular meal into a memorable experience. I'll definitely be coming back.

Amazing bbq! Be prepared to wait for the food as they grill to order but it is so worth it! Ordered 3 meals and they were all so good! The portions are big and filling. The meals came with egg drop soup and dipping sauce that complemented the bbq really well. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

The restaurant is 'open' and "cheery", a bar to sit at and tables of different sizes. Nice selection of 'on tap' beers. Family style in the name of the game. We ordered the two protein and side. The brisket and pulled pork were amazing. The potato salad had a wonderful flavor. Coleslaw was ok. We also ordered the Garlic Parmesan Fries that I couldn't stop eating. All in all a great little place

About 4 TVs and they had different sporting events showing Service- this is where it started to go south. Your front of the house and those few minutes that a new customer has is crucial. Not very friendly and not really acknowledging the people that were standing waiting to be seated. Finally got a table, gave us menus and then 15 minutes go by and they haven't taken our order for drinks. As I look around there were 4 tables that had been seated, as well and no drink orders. We all waited about the same amount of time to get our drink orders. This unfortunately is why i took off 2 stars. To me, this unacceptable. After being seated and food came out, no one checked in until I needed a box and to pay. Did not feel welcomed and /or appreciated that I was supporting a small local business. Food- Brisket without the BBQ didn't have enough flavor. These types of meat don't need a hype man- the BBQ sauce. They need to be good on their own. Buuut Meat was tender. I read that their sausage is not great it's quite dry so I skipped it, my son had ordered ribs so I was going to steal from him, so I decided to get chicken- dark meat options. Chicken was very tasty, juicy and tender. It was the star of the dinner plate!!! Whaat!!! Their coleslaw- loved how everything was chopped nice and consistent- loved the Julienned green apples- again missing seasoning. DINNER ROLLS- Soooo fucken dry and not warmed up. I expect that level of hardness on my rolls when they are about to expire. Warm them up put them in a basket and give me butter. Such a small - perhaps minute action- but it was a huge miss. Other patrons were also commenting how bad the rolls were. We even joked, "death by dinner roll! " LOL. Cornbread- small portion but packed with flavor. I would say ease up on the Honey. I want to taste the corn bread too. It's unfortunate, I didn't have the experience others have had. Most likely not going to add it to my new restaurant rotation. There are other better options with better customer service.

First off, I totally recommend the Canyon City Sampler if you can't decide what to get. It can easily feed 2-3 people (I'd say 3, but 2 if you both eat a lot). Here are my thoughts on the individual meats and sides: Pork Rib - WOW. It's so tender and fall-off-the-bone. Nice BBQ flavor and just so good. (5/5) BBQ Chicken - Tasty with a nice bite and tons of flavor. I added some extra BBQ sauce to make it even better. (4.5/5) Beef Brisket - Cooked really well with a great texture. Soft and easy to eat. (4.5/5) Pulled Pork - Very good, but my least favorite of the meats. A bit drier than the rest. (4/5) Cornbread - Tasty and served with flavored butter. It's not the moistest cornbread I've had, but it's still super good. Recommended! (4.5/5) Mash & Gravy - A classic done well. The gravy has a strong flavor and is made from the brisket drippings. Tasty. (4.5/5) This place is a total hidden gem tucked away in a random corner. They serve really good BBQ at what I'd consider a reasonable price.
