Lomi

The lomi is good lots of toppings however the fried squid is dry. So much breading the inside is a dried up chewy squid. Not worth $17 50.

Small family-owned business that serves delicious Filipino cuisine. Service was great, we were treated like a family. Many people also come & go to pick up to-go orders, but we like to sit there and enjoy the food while it's fresh & hot :)

This was a mom n pop shop that reminds me of Lola's cooking. It was great Filipino comfort food!! Their siomai was HUGE!! It was almost as big as my son's fist. It's a cute small spot not good for big crowds but the service is great. It felt like my Tita's and Lola's were cooking for me. Would definitely check it out if you are craving a taste of Pinoy.

Miki House Special noodles

Miki House holds their image well for their tasty & hearty Chinese Filipino food familiar to customers as 'good in the neighborhood'. Most popular in the menu is the Miki House Special - a combination of miki & bihon (udon & thin rice noodles). It's loaded with big slices of kikiam, fish balls, shrimps & bits of pork & veggies. An order can be shared by two. Sprinkle lemon & soy sauce & you will go back to your childhood taste from a panciteria in Binondo. Or frugal students make this pancit as filling in their pan de leche. On our repeat dining after many years, we also ordered the lunch special choice of ampalaya (bitter melon) con carne sauteed in tausi or salty black beans. Classic & scrumptious! Take along your friends & family! Reasonable price but big servings.

It was our first time dining at Miki House, and it was exceptional. The service was excellent, and the food was fresh and flavorful. We enjoyed everything we ordered and devoured it. The fried chicken was super delicious and crispy on the outside. The fried rice was not heavily loaded with oil or soggy. The pork chop was not overly salted which was terrific. The lomi was top-notch, and its aroma was very inviting. Overall, we were super satisfied, and we would dine here again and try the different dishes they offer.

Reviews are largely positive. Many highlight the fresh and flavorful food, generous portions, and reasonable pricing. The Chinese-Filipino fusion menu, with favorites like the Miki House Special and siomai, is well-liked.

Also, I did not use their bathroom, so I do not have the full experience. I will say the parking lot was excellent. The staff that laid out the food did an amazing job. The food was delicious. I think the only thing I missed was Pancit. A table full of shrimp, fish, chicken, Sisig, fruit, eggplant, rice and so much more. We had a lot of fun eating with our hands and having a good time. We were there for like an hour an a half or so. I have been here for Boodle Fight before and I would love to go back for more. ***Please listen to the song I am parodying, "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon.*** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpOULjyy-n8&list=RDzpOULjyy-n8&start_radio=1 While you are reading my song parody portion of my review below. Dollar hits is a family fave. Whenever we are in SoCal, we have to have our filipino bbq fix. We…read morehave tried all the locations and this one in West Covina, we find particularly less hectic and parking is not an issue. Note: the place is a bit small so plan accordingly if you plan on dining in... Pro-tip: get some food and tailgate in your car! Oh, and dont forget to dunk your skewers in their spiced vinegar and house sauce! How to order: Get a tray and pick the skewer(s) you want to eat. Bring your items to the cashier counter and pay. They can grill the sticks for you or you can take them as is and grill them at home. Our favorites: Chicken isaw Pork tenga Pork bbq sticks Tokwa't baboy + gotto Melon juice Sago't gulaman Pork isaw Kare-kare They servers are super friendly and we always feel "at home." Nothing beats filipino hospitality and the nostalgia of being back in the Philippines!

We decided to go to West Covina location because we know the Los Angeles location would be very difficult for parking. Even though West Covina does not do the grill your own which is what our visitors have done before, it was still the better choice between traffic and parking. The difference between the two locations also is West Covina has other food items, such as pancit, diniguan, Chicharron bulaklak, lechon kawali, Balut, some desserts and quite a bit more, compared to Temple location is just the skewered meats. So you give up the fun of cooking it yourself for a diverse menu. I too, like the ability of cooking your own skewers. It's a fun experience and a you can have great conversations with people at the grill. I would return again, however one of the other disappointments is that the name is still Dollar Hits, but the price is now $1.75 per skewer which can add up very quickly if you let your eyes do the picking.
