Barbacoa was perfect, tortillas were big & fluffy, and the salsa was immaculate. I wonder why they don't get more hype than what they already have these guys are amazingggg!!!

Sooooo me and my brother decided to try because my bf, brother and me had to take my baby blue bird to the mechanic and we saw this sign that said Tony's Barbacoa. It was a small little place but very well organized! I was treated respectfully and was served right away. When I got home with my order and made some sunny side eggs after I served my self i was super hungry so I savored everything and came to conclusion that Tony's Barbacoa is good & I could definitely see why their a 5 star restaurant. Now the charro beans were ok! I'm not going to say they were good because they just weren't like the ones I make or my momma make but they were healthy looking ones lol overall all I review 5 stars because of the great customer service and the barbacoa and big red were bomb .com! My plate "No Tenia chanza" will be going back for sure!

Update on menu and prices!!! Totally worth it!

Absolutely LOVE Tony and his barbacoa!!! The corn tortillas are the best in town as well as his beans and spicy salsa. I do not have one bad thing to say, I love all of his food!

Storefront isn't where they put profits!

Great breakfast tacos - I did simple bacon and egg - fresh super hot. Weirdly they didn't have cheese for a bean and cheese, but family run, authentic to this South Texas native. I wouldn't have tried this place without Yelp. Looks sketchy. But yum! Glad I took a chance.

Cute little hole in the wall restaurant that's open Fri/Sat/Sun from 7am-3pm. My Mom had been telling me about how great their food was so I decided to get my usual breakfast tacos and try their barbacoa. I would suggest ordering/calling in rather than dining in because they only have three small tables. You order right when you walk in and Tony's offers a nice selection ranging from family barbacoa meals at $25+ or simple breakfast tacos at $1.25. I felt as if I was walking into a small grocery store catered to all after church needs, plenty of Big Red, fresh packaged tortillas, and other items. The people running the show were pleasant and constantly busy answering phones. The tacos were a bit small but very good. The barbacoa went perfectly with their green salsa that was almost too HOT for me to bear. The carne guisada with cheese was very tender and to my liking they used American cheese instead of cheddar. The corn and regular tortillas are all extremely tasty. I'll definitely be back to sample more items. You must try this place if you're a barbacoa fan! For some odd reason Yelp wouldn't allow me to check in when I was ordering.

A coworker recommended Tony's after I told him there weren't any good Mexican places around me since my beloved one was closed due to a kitchen fire. Went in around 12 and thankfully he wasn't sold out. I got the #2 which was 1LB of barbacoa, 1 order of charro beans, 10 tortillas of your choosing, and salsa. The barbacoa was great, there wasn't any fat and it had great flavor. I was disappointed in the tortillas, they looked store bought but when I heated them up, they were redeemed. I'm not sure they are home made, though. The charro beans had great flavor but could have been cooked a bit more. The salsa verde was AMAZING. It had amazing flavor and a burst of heat. We will be returning customers

Barbacoa was DELICIOUS only reason for 4 stars is I was hoping for "thick Fluffy" style flour tortillas. Tortillas were good but more of a thin style. But if you don't mind either way then it was definitely a 5 star barbacoa

Barbacoa really good! Tamales not so good.

Party of 2, dined Tuesday 1730 and Wednesday 1230…read more OVERALL Great service, phenomenal food, good ambiance. SERVICE Cafeteria style. Well organized. Very kind employees. Expect a confirmation of the meat cuts to your satisfaction. BEEF RIB Acquired the middle cut. Beautiful bark (thin), juicy, tender, flavorful, smoky, beefy, digestible, fall off the bone. A single rib is great for 2 people to share. BRISKET Delicious bark, thick cut, juicy, tender, smoky, flavorful. So easy to eat. PORK RIB Fal off the bone. Juice, tender, smoky, and clean pork flavor. Glazed added a subtle sweetness that complimented the savory flavor and fat. Cartilage was tender and smoky. BONELESS CHICKEN THIGH Great smoky flavor. Not dry but moisture content was lower than expected. Very lean. Perfect texture to make a sliced chicken sandwich from. BACON MAC AND CHEESE Full bodied cheese sauce. Elbow macaroni. Bacon flavor was not overwhelming and complemented the Mac and cheese very well. GRANT'S POTATO SALAD Very flavorful! Such a balanced flavor of tang from mustard and pickles, herbs, and pepper. Well texture. Flavor went really well with the beef rib. TANGY COLESLAW Suble tang, not sour at all. Great cabbage texture, seasoned well, and not runny or thick. Great, refreshing complement to the smoky and fatty meats. Very fresh. PIMENTO CHEESE & CRACKERS Savory, hefty texture, and freshly made. Lights sweet flavor of Pimentos definetaly tasted. SMOKED BREAD PUDDING Must try! Freshly prepared upon ordering. Bread Pudding is full bodied. Sauces are not too sweet at all and add a balance of spice and savory. BANANA PUDDING More sweet flavor than banana. Nila cookies are soft. There is a buttery flavor and cinnamon is noticed! Good texture, not runny or too thick. BIG RED SODA Tastes like a sweet cream soda. Goes well against the smoky, savory, and fatty flavors of the meats and sides. AMBIANCE Cafeteria style, open seating. Cooling is just right that it does not alter the meats. Can get loud during busier times. The line that just reached to the street during lunch took about 45 minutes to get through. Line that just reached the end of the patio too about 30 minutes to get through.

GRILLED WINGS Mind-blowing! Large sections, very juicy, smoky, spiced very well! Great flavor from the grill. COUNTY LINE BRISKET TACOS Unfortunately this item cannot be reviewed. It did not have a good day and was taken off our table and Bill. GRANDMA'S BANANA PUDDING Worth a try! Has fresh bananas. The pudding tasted freshly made that day. Great flavor and the right amount of sweetness! AMBIANCE The two seater booth at the bar had high walls so it was very private. Surrounding lights were low and our personal light was lit well. Place has an old-time western field to it with cows on the wall not sure about the skeleton at the bar, it's still fun. Our server was super quick and their homemade bread with honey butter was delicious! I got the second cut brisket with a side of potato salad and greens and two others in our party went all out with the all you can eat barbecue. Really the all you can eat is just the amount of food that they bring you the first time around as they bring out a loaded platter of ribs, poultry, sausage, and brisket along with potato salad, baked beans, macaroni, salad, queso dip with chips, and I'm sure I'm missing something else. My 2nd cup brisket was very good and tender with a strong smoke flavor. Their sausage has a mild almost kielbasa taste to it, which went good with the queso dip. The standout was the barbecue ribs, which were very good, tender with a nice bite and good smoke flavor and barbecue sauce. I wasn't the biggest fan of the greens, but that was more likely due to all the other sides available. Not surprising, I really liked the queso dip and practically polished it off by myself. I would say this place is definitely worth the price.
