I was pleasantly surprised with our dinner at Bling Pig. I assumed the drinks would be very good,…read morebut did not have high expectations for the meal. Thankfully, Bling Pig exceed my meal expectations by quite a lot. Our whipped ricotta appetizer was enormous and delicious, and we shared a burrata salad that had a wonderful dressing that beautifully balanced sweet and spicy. And my fish tacos were excellent. The ambiance feels a little like a speak-easy. Kind of fun that they have a video monitor where the fireplace would be, and its showing a burning fire! That made me chuckle. That said, while I appreciate this is a bar (in addition to being a restaurant), the music at least where we were on the restaurant side of the place was too loud for normal conversation. My wife and I were right next to one another, and I felt like we had to converse with deliberate intention, which should be the case at a restaurant. On the plus side, our server was reasonably attentive and super friendly. Our bill was $120 after gratuity. It feels cheap to charge customers a percentage (I think it was 3%) for using a credit card when that's probably the primary way patrons pay. This just took away from the good vibes.

The ambiance was sexy and inviting, the music was lively without making it difficult to have a conversation, and the staff were warm and friendly. The drinks were definitely a highlight. I ordered the Purple Panties, and it was delicious and strong enough that I felt a buzz after three. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered another! My husband had the Old Fashioned and really enjoyed it. We kept things light with truffle fries, Philly eggrolls, and chicken eggrolls. The Philly eggrolls were delicious, especially paired with the chipotle sauce. The chicken eggroll was a little dry, but the honey sauce was delicious and helped balance it out. I wouldn't order the chicken egg roll again. The food overall was good and perfect for sharing while we enjoyed our drinks. Most importantly, we were able to relax, talk, laugh, and actually enjoy each other's company, which made it such a memorable anniversary night. Great drinks, sexy vibes, good food, and a date-night atmosphere we'll definitely be returning to!!

Set in North Salem,…read morethe dining room overlooks a beautiful meadow with rolling hills in the distance, creating a peaceful backdrop that feels quintessentially Westchester. The space is modern, warm, and understated. Everything we ordered was excellent. The panisse was golden and crisp on the outside, soft and creamy in the middle. The hake was light, buttery, and cooked perfectly, and the lamb chops were tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. Every plate felt carefully put together, with classic French techniques and just enough creativity to make each dish feel special. And then there was dessert. The profiterole was the perfect ending to the meal--a light, airy pastry filled with ice cream, covered in a crisp hazelnut shell, and finished with a smooth chocolate glaze. It had the perfect mix of crunch, creaminess, and rich chocolate, but somehow still felt light enough that you wanted every last bite.

It's a great space: simple and comfortable, lively yet not too loud. My one complaint is re nuts. Why so many dishes with them when so many people are allergic? And...I chose the 1 of 3 desserts which didn't mention nuts only to discover that had nuts in it and the other two could leave them out. Frustrating. Overall though we really liked it and will probably return.
