I needed to find somebody in town who could do alterations and searching on Google was not helpful at all... after asking around, I was recommended to this little hole in the wall and I'm very pleased. Pros: They do good work. I brought in three older pairs of pants to have the waists let out and I'm very satisfied with the job they did. Neutrals: Price. I have no idea what to expect for a job like this, so I can't judge if the cost was high or low or normal. I paid $45 for alterations on three pairs of pants. Is that good? No clue. Cons: Parking isn't great here. You're kinda caught on Villa Maria and it can be a little difficult to get out. Also, if you don't know this place is here, you'll never find it. Overall, I settled on four stars. I really like the work they did, but I can't judge pricing because I have no idea what would be considered normal. So I went to Tony's after looking up a few reviews online. Here on Yelp, it was pretty much a toss-up between Tony's and someplace else, but since Tony's does dry cleaning as well as alterations, I figured I'd give them a shot. It's a great local shop, and they definitely take debit cards, so I would assume they take credit cards as well. I took in a buisness suit (coat and pants), as well as 2 dress shirts, and got them all done for just under $14. I've never done dry cleaning before, but this place seems like a very nice little place to do business with. I checked all of the buttons and everything seems great. no noticeable flaws or anything. They do offer same-day service, but that's only if you drop off the dry cleaning by 8 or 8:30 am. (I don't remember the time, but they open at early and close at around 6 pm on week days). **Pros: -Great local business that seems to do a good job. -No flaws found with my dry cleaning on quick inspection. -Very friendly staff -It looks more like a business office than a dry cleaner's place (which I like, personally). **Cons: -The parking lot is right on the corner of Villa Maria and South College. Since the parking lot only opens out onto Villa Maria, this makes for a bad location to pull out. If the parking lot is full, you could wind up waiting a while for traffic to die down so you can pull out of the parking lot. -The lady that took my order when I first went had trouble understanding my name. To be fair, I was speaking a bit fast, but I've never had most people misunderstand my name so badly that they have trouble typing it. All in all, it was a pleasent experience, and I would definitely do business with them again! I gave it 4 stars because of the parking, but that cannot be helped. Be VERY careful if you use the parking lot in front, as inexperienced drivers could easily back up into oncoming traffic or cars stopped waiting for the light at the intersection. It might be a risk to use the parking lot behind the store front, but it's worth investigating whether that is open for customers of Tony's or not. read more

Glad to have found this shop, thanks to the reviews of two fellow Yelpers. The prices (of alterations and dry cleaning) are much better than several other places I have visited. Work quality is very good. Hem work is completed without extradition fee in just 24 hours. The lady at the front desk is friendly AND efficient. I asked her about parking at the back of the shop (on S. College) to avoid the busy traffic problem earlier reviews mention. She said it is allowed. I will try that next time. Hopefully they get enough business to keep the prices low and the service quality high. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I came to Tony's this past week to have a dress taken in and the straps adjusted. When I arrived to pick up the dress, the alterations were very poorly done. The straps hadn't been adjusted like I requested and the tailor had only stitched the outer fabric of the dress without actually taking in the waist. I obviously refused to pay $30 for the alternations because they weren't done properly. The store attendant then made me call the tailor (instead of doing it herself) to discuss my concerns about the dress. After arguing over the phone with the tailor for nearly 30 minutes, he threatened to call the police on me if I did not pay him for his terrible alteration job. THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. I was terrified after he threatened me so I paid him $20 for the alterations just so I could get out of there as soon as possible. So after being threatened and verbally assaulted, I ended up paying $20 for alterations that ruined my dress. I will never go to this tailor again and I would not recommend him to anyone else. read more

I had to take a skirt with a stain on it back three times. They told me the item was clean, and each time I saw a stain on it still. Then after the third time being cleaned, I was told I would be charged more money to clean it. I refused to pay more when it hadn't been cleaned the first, second, or third time and the owner got angry at me because of it. BEWARE! Tony's ruined a brand new shirt which I brought them new in the package. They literally took it out of the package. When I brought it to their attention they refused to take responsibility for it and tried to stitch the holes back up. After months of trying to get a hold of Tony he finally agreed to compensate 10 times the cleaning cost which fell well short of the shirt's cost. COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED read more

I was highly disappointed with the services I received at Tony's. I took a dress in because I lost one of the buttons on the sleeves (maroon button) and asked them to take off the other button and sew on two matching buttons. Irene assured me that this could be done and would be done the next day. I showed up to pick up my dress and there was my original maroon button on the sleeve that I had asked them to take off, and on the other sleeve was a black button. I asked why she didnt remove the maroon button and she said "because they didnt have two black buttons" but they charged me for two buttons, not just one. She seemed genuinely interested if I would just take the dress with mismatched buttons. She then assured me that she would let her tailor know to take off BOTH buttons again and have them sew on two matching buttons. She told me to come back the next day. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY-- went to pick up my dress and they had done NOTHING to it. They left one maroon and one black button on the sleeves and said they did nothing because they didnt have two matching buttons to put on the dress... When asked if they had my phone number in their system, they nodded and had NO explanation why I wasn't contacted and made aware of the problem. I Will absolutely NEVER do service with them again. We had them alter a flower girl dress. It was a handmade dress with a tulle skirt and sequin bodice with the back opening shaped like a heart. We simply needed a zipper below the heart so that it was wide enough to get over her shoulders because the fabric had no give. He did not think that would work so he said he wanted to put elastic there. I assumed from the way he described it it would be a little short piece of elastic in the waist line and he said he would put it behind the tulle and not distort the heart cut out. Instead he put a huge piece of elastic over the top of the tulle song down to the tulle and totally destroyed the heart shaped cut-out. When my daughter picked up her flower girls dress for my granddaughter to wear she was in tears because of the horrendous job that was done. It made the dress look horrible. if it is something for a formal occasion or something you want to look perfect I would not recommend this alteration shop. I am having to correct the dress myself. read more
