DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE!!! This is truly a terrible location to wash your laundry. As stated in many other reviews, you need an app to wash your clothes. Which btw if the WiFi is down, EVERYTHING and ANYTHING is down. No Wi-Fi means the machine will not work meanin you can't do laundry n now you have to stay cuz you added money to the damn app. Staff didn't help, all they do is "‍ idk I'll be back on when it's on‍." As they are still trying to ring in customers knowing their stuff doesn't work. Not to mention like 75% of the washer and dryers in the places are "Employee use only" meaning if u get there on a busy time, then ur really fucked. Here's my advice, the money you want to spend here use it somewhere else. I honestly should've stayed with Sip N Wash on 2818, who give MUCH better service and the rates are flat. I like the convenience of using the app for the machines. However, their soda and snack machines only accept cash, no electronic payments. Also, the bar and stools provided do not match up; I'm a tall person but I felt like a kid sitting at the bar, which is where the outlets are if you need to charge your device. When I moved to the lounge chairs, they are old, with a lot of the covering stripped of, showing the fabric underneath, and when you sit in them, there is no practical padding left, and you sink to the boards underneath. They advertise themselves as a replacement for Harvey Washbangers, but they fall well short of that mark. On the plus side. The lounge chairs are an easy fix, as is having their vendor replace the soda and snack machines with units that accept electronic payments. The only difficult part would having the bar lowered to a reasonable height. In short, not as pleasurable an experience as Harvey Washbangers (even when I didn't get food or drink), but a serviceable laundromat, if they will make minor changes. read more

BUILT-IN THEFT. The complaint is with the use of the Huebsch machines. If you see this logo, RUN. You have to download the app and load money from your credit card onto the app. I only needed $2 to finish my laundry, but it made me load $5 onto the card. So, could I get a refund? NO. I had to talk to the manager, who was not there that day. I called one time after that, and my call was not returned. So, I am out $3 and will not drive 15 miles (30 roundtrip) to try to see the manager in person. I just gave up. I tried another laundry which had the same Huebsch machines, and I had to put money on a card. Well, the laundry was __.59. 59 cents will never equal a dollar. When I tried to get the 41 cents back, I was told they had no way to read how much was on the card. Excuuuuse me? Stick it in the machine. Ring up a refund and tape the register tape around the card. That was Harvey Washbangers, which is no longer around. There was no beef with the machines or facility being dirty or broken at either place. read more

This place is amazing! If you have to go to the laundry, this is the place to go! They will do your laundry for you for just $1.50 a pound so you don't have to stay, and it's all perfectly folded! It's clean, well organized and machines work! There are attendants here if you need help. They use an app, but if you are only here for 1 load, you can pay the attendant using a credit card or debit card. They don't take cash. The dryers are for 30 minutes. There are 5 different size washers. What a gr8 concept!!! read more

I came here for the first time today (Oct 24th) to wash my bed sheets (since my apt washer and dryer is small and weak). There's a setting for bedding on the washers that was really nice. There's honestly a lot of washers and dryers. I like that payments are online through an app that notifies you when the washer and dryer are done. Nice seating area too. Vending machines next to seating area if you're hungry. Bathrooms which were VERY convenient. Friendly staff. That's all I can think of. Oh, the staff can fold your clothes for an extra fee if you want. I thought that was cool hahah. I wasn't bothered much. Not too busy for a Monday around lunch time. I felt safe for being by myself. Washer broke, so I needed a laundromat. So glad I found Gr8. It's CLEAN. The machines look new, so they either are new or well maintained. When I had to wait for a giant dryer for my comforter, it wasn't a long wait. The coolest part is that they're cashless. You download the Huebsch app. Select your machine, set your temperature, etc. AND IT WILL TEXT YOU WHEN YOUR STUFF IS NEARLY READY. And you can earn rewards for free machine time pretty quick. It was pouring down raining in approximately 10 to 15 minutes after 9 PM. I don't wear jeans and don't wear anything cotton. Everything I have a synthetic & wool. When I was pulling my laundry bag out of the car, while becoming soaking wet, the attendant made me aware that the website is for Houston location(s). It worked out all great! The next day I went to a Harvey Washbangers and I will never return to this location again. I recommend Harvey Washbangers highly, not just because of the awesome staff, but they keep the machines clean, they allow pet blankets, and they have some really great food. read more

Went here twice for wash and fold service. They fold everything to a single sized board, so t-shirts and small towels come unfolded when you separate them to put them away. Kind of defeats the purpose. They also don't let you inventory laundry, so if you take expensive stuff here and anything happens, you're out of luck. My washing/drying machine broke in my new apartment so I was in dire need of a laundromat. I found Gr8 Laundry online and decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did! Gr8 offers several sized washing machines. To pay with a credit card at the store, here are the prices: 2 loads: $2.50 4 loads: $4.50 10 loads: $10 I had a hamper full of clothes and fit them all in a 4 load with room to spare. I forgot detergent too but tide pods were available for $1 which was super convenient! The washer took 23 mins to run and the dryer, which cost $1.50 took 30 mins. I was in and out in less than an hour! The lady managing the store was super friendly and helped me as I navigated my way through the laundromat. She informed me that Gr8 is also app-based and has rewards programs when you pay through your phone. Gr8 can also wash, dry, and FOLD clothes for an extra fee, which could be super handy during busy times. When clothes are washing/drying, there is a nice waiting area with comfy chairs and vending machines. Next time I'll probably bring a book and a coffee with me! I'll definitely be returning to Gr8 Laundry. Fantastic amenities and service. read more

I usually go to the wash haus to do my laundry because I wash for me and 3 other people. As I pulled up to my usual spot I realized some really shady things happening so I decided to try gr8 laundry. LET ME TELL YOU, I will never ever ever do laundry at another place again. The washers and dryers are all super clean, and very nice looking. The only downside was I had to add an extra 30 mins on the dryer for a couple of my loads, but that's genuinely not the biggest issue in the world and I had no problem doing that. Everything is controlled by an app on your phone and you can choose which cycle you want to do all from your phone, they have signs everywhere with recommendations on what kind of setting you should put the washer on for certain items of clothing. The lady that's working is extremely nice and friendly, and a little added bonus... the bathrooms are spotless and smell like cinnamon. My clothes came out smelling fresh- not burned, like other places I've been to. Hope the word gets out about this amazing place. I didn't pay for them to do my laundry for me but that's a super awesome thing they do and I asked how much it would be for them to do mine and she said it starts off at 68¢ per pound. That's amazing they offer that service, and I know I'm gonna take advantage of that at some point in the future. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that likes clean, friendly, and inexpensive laundromats. read more

Machines work great, place is spotless and if you forget soap/dryer sheets they have some for sale at the counter. Lounge area with plenty of space and a tv. Different sized washers to suit the need for your loads of clothes. I've come across two different people working at this location and they both were very friendly and approachable. A big perk about using the app is you can set it to notify you when the machine is 3 minutes out from finishing its cycle. Also, the place is located near a few clothes shops, a gumbys pizza and a Krispy Kreme so plenty of options if you want to take a quick walk/eat. Saturday mornings before 10 am has 10 cent dryer cycles, as of this posting. Keep an eye out on any discounts they might have throughout the week. read more

My family and I visited the Gr8 Laundry the first time around the first week of June. We fell in love. Being a family of five, it's impossible to keep up with laundry, so I thought this would be incredibly helpful. However, things took a turn on Friday, June 17. We dropped off three large bags of laundry after loading them just 20 mins prior to our arrival at Gr8 Laundry. 2 Hours after we dropped off, I get a call from a worker stating my "bag is full of ticks." To my complete shock, I head up there and immediately ask to see the bag. I go through all of the laundry, with the employee standing next to me. There was not a single bug or evidence of bugs. I asked if they had any photos to which the employee replied "there was one bug and we weren't sure what it was, so we bagged up and asked you to come." I then asked "since we have no evidence of a bug and there's no bugs to be seen now, can you take my laundry?" To which she replied, no we cannot accept the laundry at all. So I'd have to take it somewhere else entirely to have it washed. I was completely shocked. I took my three bags and left. I went through the bags again at home, still there were no signs or evidence of a bug. On Monday, June 20, I checked the bags again, no bug, I loaded the bags with laundry and brought it back to Gr8 Laundry. Within 5 mins of dropping off the bags, I get a call from Jackie, the manager. She stated that she could not accept my bags. I went back to the shop and asked the manager to show me the policy regarding finding one bug or that I couldn't bring laundry back. She started to argue with me and again I asked to see the policy or proof of the "bug" as both my husband, and I, did a thorough check of all of our clothes. Yet again Jackie argued that she could not accept my bag. After I asked to see the policy one last time, Jackie stated "I will take your bags this time but we will no longer service you in the future." I am shocked and upset by this. I certainly do not want there to be issues however I am appalled by the responses. Jackie also stated "the supervisor who checked your bag has been with us for 2 years." However, there is still no proof of this bug. I wouldn't have an issue except that there is no policy in place, that I can find, where it states one bug is cause for them to turn away laundry. Additionally, I wouldn't have an issue if I could have proof of this single bug. I asked if the supervisor took a photo of this "bug" and she said "no." I would understand completely if in fact my bag was covered in bugs, but to have this whole ordeal over one bug that there is no proof of, is quite ridiculous. I am not sure how they are allowed to turn away a paying customer who is asking for proof of either a policy or proof of a single "bug." I'm disappointed because we really do love this service but this situation just makes no sense. It would've been nice to have some proof. We have no idea what kind of bug it is because it was never found. It's just frustrating to deal with this but then to have the manager argue and then tell you you can't come back. Just really disappointed in this whole situation. I would be disappointed with the way the manager handled this if this was my business. read more

I don't like doing laundry. However, doing my huge loads of laundry here makes this task a pleasant one. The machines are well maintained and cleaned as well as the interior space. The machines are efficient and quick. If you don't have much folding to do you'll be in and out quickly. I also appreciate not having to juggle around for coins or trying to get cash to operate the machines. The app makes this process easy to use. The workers are always friendly and professional.
