When in the area we usually stop next door at Dunkin for an iced tea. We'd see this spot next door and talked to an employee coming in with a box of pizza and said it's delicious. It looks like a hole in the wall type of place. So finally we went over and got a few slices for ourselves. I got the sausage and pepperoni and my husband just got the pepperoni. They warmed them up for us and we than tried them.. the crust was just right and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. The cheese was a mix of I believe mozzarella, cheddar and provolone. It was really tasty.. the cup pepperoni was standard around here and tasty.. but the sausage was the star are really tasty. Eventually getting to the top crust was fine and it was not too doughy or tough to eat a plus. My husband enjoyed the mix of cheeses and the pepperoni. For two pieces it was about $7 and change. They do have specials on slices and a drink and etc. They do catering and you can also sit inside..it was clean and tidy and old school in a good way. My husband and I were out in Buffalo (from New Hampshire) for a wedding yesterday, and this morning we felt ROUGH and really needed wings (yes at 11 am lol)... my god, I cannot express to you enough, these were lifesaving lmao. Grabbed a cup and char slice recently. The experience of eating this pizza was like eating two completely different pizzas. All of the grease must have flowed towards the center of the pie, which meant the first half of the slice was floppy/soggy, with a heavier taste. The second half of the slice was thicker/tougher, had less of a punch. Besides the double experience, it was an okay slice. The size was average (not huge like Perris or the former Checker Cab). Tip: when ordering an extra large pizza, ask them to cut it NY style (wedges) otherwise they take a round pie and cut it into squares. I'll never understand that. Recently moved to West Henrietta and was desperately in search of some great wings (since Duffs left)! Gave TP a try and LET ME TELL you!!! They did NOT DISAPPOINT! Perfectly sauced and crispy and juicy by far one of the best wings I've had in the ROC. The pizza has one of the best sauces I've ever had on a pizza- very smooth and flavorful- it doesn't take over the entire pizza as can happen with some other pizzerias. I got a chance to try their catered lunches (subs) for a work event recently. It was a very good lunch and they easily supplied for for at least 25 people. I had a Turkey sub, everything tasted fresh. It came with chips and a tasty cookie and little packages of mayo and mustard. It really rivaled getting box lunches catered from a large chain place we have used before. Today at 5:45 PM I ordered 50 wings, 30 country sweet, 20 mild buffalo. I am SHOCKED! I paid 60 dollars for this including a tip to the delivery driver and they have the audacity to send them looking like this? This is horrible! The delivery driver didn't even care or apologize when he handed me the dripping bag of wings. I called them back and their excuse was "we ran out of 50 wing boxes." So you don't stuff them into the box until it breaks and tape it like it's fine! You made a mess of an order that could have been fine if you just separated them better! We stopped in here a couple of days ago just to grab a quick slice and a couple of wings. The outside of this this palace blends in and doesn't stand out. Walking in reveals an older place. We were greeted right away by the folks behind the counter in a very friendly manner. We ordered a couple of slices and half dozen wings (see the pic). The pizza was surprising good. It was not a thick pizza which is what most of the Rochester pizzerias offer and people up here seem to enjoy. It folded well. Nice texture of crisp and chewy. The wings were prepared fresh and were delicious. I saw bread come out of the oven. I was surprised when they told me they baked their bread on premises which is used for heroes, sandwiches, garlic bread, etc. She cut me a piece of this fresh hot bread. Delicious!! It had a great taste. Nothing like fresh bread! Too bad I was too full to eat more but next time I will try one of their heroes on their fresh bread. Pizza stop on State Street is still my favorite, but this is not a bad option when you are in Henrietta or when pizza stop is closed on the weekends. read more

My experience with the food and service from Tony Pepperoni has swung across the entire customer satisfaction spectrum. Normally, the employee taking my order over the telephone is proffessional, but nearly always rushed. Their menu is quite extensive. Some of their servings are generous in size. Their potato skins, for instance, are a crunchy, cheesy, ample taste of heaven. The chicken parm, while very good tasting chicken, is squeezed into a container so ill-fitting that it left an imprint on my food. The chicken also seemed naked, with a very identifiable slice of square cheese slapped on top. (So much for some ooey-gooey cheese love!) And though I asked for extra sauce, the pasta was barely covered. Their subs are decent, though they don't even come close to giving you the amount of meat that Wegmans does. The bread, however, is delicious. Evidently this family-owned business also owns(ed) a bakery. With that knowledge I ordered their cannolis...once. They were stale and understuffed. It nearly broke my heart! The salads have always been remarkably fresh and generous in size, as well. I always ask for extra ranch dressing and am never charged for it. I appreciate their delivery service. Unlike several other pizza places nearby, there is NOT an extra service charge. read more

My favorite thing though, is that every member of the staff goes the extra mile. West Gate looks very promising, but a bit pricey after the overpriced Bellyflop that was the Blue Cactus the night before. Belly Family WILL try it some day... But, on to the food! After racking their brains trying to think of where to go for eat in, they decided to go with their old standby for takeout, Tony P's! Belly Family stumbled onto Tony P's thanks to a coupon in the Entertainment Guide a few years back. Since then, it's easily Bellyman's favorite pizza place. The pizza is full flavored, with wonderful, tiny little pepperoni slices that curl up nicely into little cups that capture all of the grease and hold it in place....oh, yeeeeeah...added bonus: Country Sweet-laced chicken wings. Oh, man, add in a Vanilla Coke and Bellyman is in heaven! About Bellyman's only complaint is that when he first found them, they had these amazing bread sticks. Most likely the best pizza I've ever had. I ordered twice from here--one specialty and one build my own. Both times it tasted great and exceeded my expectations. Honestly they deserve more recognition. It is a little pricer with each topping costed roughly 2 dollars or so (cant remember), it just made more sense to choose a specialty pizza than build your own. I had the country sweet and it's now my favorite. However if I had the chance to choose my crust for my specialty, i would have enjoyed the pizza a bit more (I'm a thin crust fan). Consulted Yelp while staying in the Rochester area and found Tony Pepperoni. Absolutely delicious buffalo chicken pizza. The thin crust has exactly the right combination of crunch and chew. The chicken is flavorful and not too spicy. I was more than satisfied with my choice. The only lamentable fact is that I got it to take out and when I got back, I discovered it didn't come with any bleu cheese dressing for dipping. Most places I have gotten buffalo chicken pizza, they give you a little container of dressing. I missed it. Sad. But other tham that...great pizza! The people behind the counter were super nice. The place is tiny and the atmosphere is very casual. Oh, another thing...I wish that somewhere on their fb page or website or somewhere, they would mention that they deliver.
