Finally found a pizza spot that could go toe to toe with my favorite spots in NYC and Long Island. Reminds me of my local favorite Ciro's in Smithtown. Service was great, quick and not a mistake (several last minute large orders for an entire store, and small personal ones). Their large sheets are amazing, the wings are super crispy and with the just right amount of sauce, and salads too!! I'm a pizza snob, and just fell in love with the pies here! Pizza was okay. I really liked the thin crust, but I felt like the pizza itself didn't have a lot of taste. My family got a basic pizza with half broccoli and half pepperoni. The inside is really just a storefront...there are a few seats along an eating bar, but it's Def a takeout place. Stopped here while on my way home from baseball. Pizza was on the thinner side. It has a lot of "flop" to it even tho we ordered it well done. There wasn't a lot of sauce on the pizza. We ordered chicken wings as well which where nice and crispy. The Buffalo chicken pizza had grilled chicken on it which I would have preferred fried but was still good. This used to be our go to spot considering we are a 5minute walk away... but their service and quality of food has gone down hill in the recent months, overly greasy pizza, well done - I mean burnt to a crisp - boneless wings, it's actually disappointing that they even served these. My first time ordering from this place and despite the lousy name (All star???) the pizza we got was delish. Not quite authentic NY thin crust nor the artisanal type of thin crust, but it had almost a homemade quality to it. This was my daughters favorite pizza place until we ordered $55 worth of food and it arrived late taking 1 hour and 45 minutes. Text message said 20 minutes. Meaning the food was driving around for almost two hours and arrived ice cold. Paid online and tipped very well when placing order. Wrote a message on their website without any reply or explanation or concern. If this small business cannot reply to their regular customers when an incident like this happens I cannot support them. Pizza is very good. "Crust-o-Meter" a funny moniker for ordering any range from NY Thin to extra-thick. Pizza and Calzones are great. Service good. There are many pizza franchise options around but single-shop All-Star is All-(4)Star in my rating. They always go out of their way to accommodate our son's food allergies. They use separate gloves, mark the box, and make sure no cheese comes in contact with his pizza. We ordered pickup for a fairly complicated order. When we got home and started to dig in we noticed they got something wrong. I won't say what it was but what I will say is it was the sort of thing pizza places get wrong all the time so i wasn't really upset or surprised. That being said, someone in the group decided to call and let them know of the mistake. They apologized and what was incredible in my mind was that they chose to remake the order, and deliver it to us free of charge, even though it was originally a pickup order and we're kind of far away. The food is overall good, but the quality and customer service can be very inconsistent. I've ordered from this spot faithfully for almost three years now and I always give them another chance. The thin crust pizza is great and the wings are too when they're prepared correctly. They also have really good mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers and chicken fingers. However, the overall lack of customer service is baffling. On a mistake for a past order I was offered a "credit" on my account and my next order when I attempted to use it, the employee had no idea what I was talking about. My last order for a 10 piece boneless wings (mild) was burnt so badly I could barely eat any of it. The wings were burnt so badly the actual container was partially melted. The spot where you order is about four feet by four feet.... ok, couple of bar stools and no one was there. I got my food and got back to my hotel. I got the Philly Cheese Steak sub Mozzarella Sticks The sub was ok. Bread was good (soft and flakey), the meat didn't have any flavor and the large was on the small size. But would probably have given 3 or 4 stars... Mozzarella Sticks- not what you go there for, but still paid almost 8 bucks... was expecting good ones. I have never eaten worse ones, and i mean even compared to frozen ones from the store that sat out for three hours and I tried reheating.... I was just sitting at home and I heard a very aggressive knock on the door. I was not expecting anyone, and was home alone, and it was a pretty scary knock, so decided not to answer it. A couple seconds later, another, even more aggressive knock. Then, I hear this person walk off my porch. Then, I hear him stomp/run back up my porch and start knocking and KICKING at my door. This was so hard my house was literally shaking. At this point, I was terrified and having NO IDEA why someone was acting this way, assumed the next step would be to throw a brick through my window. so, I got my phone out, ready to call 911 and went over to my door to find a person holding a pizza. I told him I didn't order a pizza and he said something along the lines of "Jesus Christ that's all you had to say." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Then he storms off...
