The food was exceptional. The beef tenderloin was juicy and flavorful. Good amount of food for the price. The service was quick and the waiter was attentive throughout the meal. Should have read the reviews before we went. We had dinner at Tony D's since we have eaten there before. Noise was definitely an issue but being asked to leave because the table was needed, even before we ordered dessert, shows that the restaurant doesn't really value their customer. There were empty tables around us so really confused as to why the urgency to turn over the spot. More interested in churning tables to improve profitability. Yes that's an important focus of a restaurant but showing some customer service is equally important. Definitely will avoid this place on our next visit. read more

After spending over $300 with no drinks you'd think 2 couples could have a nice experience. However, Bring your hearing aids or a megaphone as you won't be able to carry on a conversation from across the table due to the noise. We declined dessert but ordered after dinner coffee only to be met with a request to surrender our table with half a cup of coffee left. Our total time from ass on seat till we were asked to leave was barely 2 hrs. Meanwhile 4 empty tables to our right must be locked and loaded to maximize profits. If I ever go again I'll bring a chalkboard to communicate and a stop watch to time my stay. Textbook profits over customer service which was glaringly obvious. Walk in parties of two were seated before us seemed to be favoring young and attractive, not to mention her rude demeanor to us. I came here for the first time for lunch with my bosses yesterday. Our server, Rena was absolutely incredible. We all had sandwiches, mine was the eggplant with ghost cheese, peppers arugula and honey balsamic dressing. As a side we were all served a cold pasta salad which was delicious, but my friends said it was far more delicious warmed the following day, bringing out all of the flavors. The view was spectacular and looking forward to returning during warmer weather. Service was on point and I would definitely recommend Tony D's to anyone in the area. 3 weary travelers, from the opposite coast, showed up at 9:30pm on a Thursday night, hoping the kitchen was still open. They stayed open long enough to get our order in and it was so worth it. We just had apps, but enough to stuff us to miserable. Meatballs, arancini and the app special - fried eggplant stacked with mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes. And it was all EXCELLENT. Especially the eggplant. Be sure to get bread to sop up the amazing sauces. And, apropos, we had the coast to coast cocktail (their take on a paper plane), which was also yummy. I've been there many many times ... Last time I was there I ended up leaving very disappointed. I always get filet mignon but since the seasoning on it is very salty I said no salt and what happened they removed the entire seasoning on the sides and the meat had no taste at all.I love there spinach but that is very salty too which kills the flavor. Wine list is very poor as Italian restaurant they have only 2 choices baby amarone and supertoscany .It's always wait when u walk in even if u have reservation. Haven't been here in a while but took out of town family here for dinner this weekend. We had reservations but still had to wait a bit. All good as we found a place at the bar. The bartenders were quick and attentive. Once we sat for dinner the server came right over. She announced the specials... and all sounded so good! My daughter asked about something she had previously, but was no longer on the menu. The service said hold on... went to the kitchen, came back and said yes! The chef will make it for you! I recognize this place is oddly popular. I just can't figure out why. It's the kind of place where divorced real estate agents go to dress tacky and yell and believe they're having a great time. The night we went, we had a reservation and were seated promptly. All good things ended at that point. We sat for several minutes and no one approached our table. A couple was seated next to us a few minutes later. They were greeted promptly by their waiter and informed about the specials ...our table? Still no one....finally a server came over and let us know that we weren't his table, but he'd find out who our server was and get us some water. Couple next to us are now getting their appetizer....A server finally materialized...no mention of specials...just a drink order. We wanted "Old Fashioned's". She asked what type of bourbon would we like. I asked what do you have? She said "it's a long list" and rolled her eyes...here we go. So, we named a couple of bourbons and of course got back "we don't have that...not sure...". Ummm. You asked!?!? So...the drinks arrive after a pretty significantly long time considering the place is clearing out and many patrons have now left to yell in the entryway or the parking lot...we inquire about the specials...the server asks "oh? I didn't special you yet"? Wtf does that mean..no, you didn't. She then rattles off the specials so quickly and quietly that we had no clue what she was saying. Wasn't worth asking her to repeat. Just a mess. The food finally arrived and the veal was overcooked to the point of looking like a burnt shoe with Ragu over it. Just a lousy experience all the way around. I assume for some segments of the population this was, underline was, the place to be seen....but it's just gross. There are plenty of better pseudo Italian places out there. read more

Food. I was impressed that everything we tried was amazing! The Arancini was the best, the tenderloin melted in your mouth and was full of flavor. I like Sirloin because of the flavor but this beat sirloin. The pasta dish had dark meat chicken which Italians love. Service was outstanding! Ambiance: We were two on a Weekday at five O'clock and were seated very close to another couple. We started a conversation and enjoyed it. They had a salad and greens and beans and raved about there food too. We were in the same room with the bar...which was standing room only. It was packed by the time we left. Naturally it was noisy. I'm sure they would seat you in a more quiet area if that's what you like. Call for reservations if you're more than two. As far as price, you get what you pay for. read more

Excellent food! I was craving a chicken Parmesan and though it's not on the menu, they made it for me anyway. Our server (Alicia?) was super sweet and very attentive. This review is posted after going to their new location. I absolutely loved their old one because it was by the river but love the new one just as much. This was our first visit since the new owners have taken over and to be honest I did not see a difference. I am guessing real regulars have noticed changes. We made a reservation through Open Table which is a big plus because this place is tough to get into especially on a Friday. It was relatively quiet but it was a Saturday in summer. We asked for and got an outside table along the river (they do have some facing the parking lot - no thanks!). Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I tried their vanilla vodka mule which was tasty. We split their huge Caesar salad - it was very good and fresh. The greens and beans were as good as we remembered. I ordered the roast pork panini which was described as having a slice of porchetta. I was surprised when it was filled with shaved roast pork. The waitress did not hesitate asking me if I wanted to order something else but I decided to give it a try. It was actually quite good but they really need to change their description. Just google porchetta - that is not what filled their roll - it is very different. Overall the food was good. When the weather is not so nice we will make sure to get a seat around the pizza oven area - it is a good show. read more

On Sunday, I had my boyfriend's surprise birthday dinner here, with a party of 11 people. I was very pleased that they allowed our huge balloons, and gave us a long table on the side facing the river. The reservation and planning went pretty well--I was worried that when we walked in, the host would say, "party of 11?" But my friend instructed her not to so as not to ruin the surprise. Overall, the food and drinks came in a timely manner. My margarita was nice and strong, but not overbearing. We got the meatballs as an appetizer. They were large and in a yummy sauce. However, the inside of the meatball was a bit lacking. I was expecting a lot more flavor and it was kinda just....meat. The bread came with this delicious oil and vinaigrette sauce, which was very addicting. I couldn't stop dipping. For my entree, I got the chicken marsala. It came on top of cooked spinach and was topped with what I think were mushrooms (I admit that when the waiters list off the specials, I kinda zone out and just listen for things that stand out to me). The chicken was absolutely delicious! Perfectly crispy, and the flavor was outstanding. I'm a big texture person when it comes to food, and for me, each bite of this chicken was satisfying. The spinach was pretty good, nothing spectacular, but went well with the chicken. Im not sure what sauce the food was in; it was a brown, somewhat tangy sauce. All I know is that it was super YUM. I tried some of my boyfriend's filet mignon, which I thought was pretty average and almost lacking in flavor. meh. Overall, I would come back, and probably get the same thing. I'm a big chicken marsala fan, and it didn't disappoint here. The one thing that was a bit of an inconvenience was that there were 11 of us, all paying separately or in couples, but they only do one check for the whole party (I feel like this may only be for large parties?). My friends had other obligations they were late to, so they would throw me $20 or so for their meals and then leave, without having time to take into account the tax, tip, and appetizers. I paid for the whole thing on my card, but when I got home, I had to do some serious math to figure out how much everyone still owed me, minus what they had already given me. This could have easily been avoided by simply providing separate checks, but hey, what can you do. Oh, also, there seems to have been a mystery wine added to our receipt? I wrote down who ordered each item so that I could figure out who owed what, and they added a Matua wine that no one actually got. I checked the pictures throughout the night to make sure, and there was no Matua on the table at any point. I didn't notice until way later, since it was such a large party with many things ordered. I had everyone split the cost of this additional $12, but it's still a bit odd that this was added to our receipt when no one ordered it. read more

1st time at Tony D' with some close friends. Food was fantastic, especially my wife's lamb shank, chicken Boba, ziti with bolognese sauce & chicken salad milanese. Huge apps incl a pizza & another meatball app. Service from RYAN was over the top. He actually remembered me from another restaurant several years ago including my favorite dishes. This is my first visit to the new space for Tony D's, today, Sunday April 30th. I was not disappointed. Upon arriving, you could tell that you were walking into something special ... The atmosphere was alive, friendly & warm, with inviting décor that was modern but made you feel at home. The hostess greeted us with a big smile and hurried to prepare a table for us (we were a party of five), with no reservation. We heard the buzz ... so we planned on arriving early (4:45 pm). Our server Tiffany was bright, energetic, friendly and made us feel welcomed from the moment she arrived at our table. Clearly, she knew what she was doing from the 1st drink order to the care and feeding she offered throughout our experience; needless to say our service was delivered by a seasoned professional who understands top notch service while keeping it light and genuine. Then there is the food ... from the exquisite calamari to the impeccable salads and the gorgeous meatballs resting on a bed of creamy whipped ricotta ... these beginnings laid the foundation for entrée's to be remembered. A few in our party had the Sunday Sauce, quite literally a warm hug served on an oval platter, will not disappoint. Another had the salmon, a healthy yet decadent masterpiece in a meal! And then there was my entrée, this stunning Berkshire Porkchop with a Mushroom demi-glace served over a hearty bed of Rapini all cooked harmoniously to perfection. It is my mission to enjoy a porkchop wherever I dine, and Tony D's is one to remember ... inspiring! We finished our evening with one Cannoli as we were all quite full (with plenty of leftovers to enjoy at home) to share ... the crème was divine, smooth & silky stuffed into a perfectly produced pastry shell infused with chocolate chips ... it was both light and decadent at the same time. We had an amazing Caesar salad first, then mains of crusted crab cake, and The Berkshire pork chop with greens and peaches. Salad was great, crab was great. My husband and I went for a birthday celebration. I ordered spaghetti with clam, way to much pasta tasteless. My clams were good. When I was done the server came and took my bowl to package and cleared the table of bread and dipping oil. (Husband still eating). Then walked by and scooped our glasses.my wine still had a good sip, and he never asked if we wanted​ another. When my husband was done he took his packaged it up, brought it to the table with the check on top. Ok sooo... 1. We waited 18 minutes for the server to bring us water let alone take our order. (Not like they were understaffed, there were plenty of employees buzzing around, not to mention there was only 7 tables with patrons being served). 2. The wings were very salty and came out not how we had ordered. (We ordered sauce ON the wings not on the side). The spare rib tips were on point. 3. Our busser was high as a kite. 4. Glass was all over the place, had to move a large piece from under our table, thank goodness I wasn't in flip flops! 5. Lastly, a limited menu, and when it finally came time to order, 3 dishes they were out of for a 7pm dinner???? 6. The venue is very nice, large space, plenty of tables, no idea how things are run this way with half the patrons occupying tables and still not able to great guests in a timely fashion.
