I went into the restaurant to buy a milkshake, me and all my friends went, we always go to them because they have great food, price is kinda high though. But I put in my order for my milkshake, put down my name, and that's when the lady called my name. She said that she wouldn't make my shake, because of what I put for the special request: "Can you make it freaky" Keep in mind, I did this a year before with a burger and they left me a little note telling me it was funny. I can understand that maybe I shouldn't have done that joke the second time, but the lady took it personal, I didn't know this person, nor was I trying to get a rise from her, she was yelling at me the whole time and making a scene in the middle of a crowded restaurant. She shouldn't have yelled at me for something so little, and she was very young too, at least 20. I was so upset that if I didn't already pay for the shake, I would've just left. Then she went in the back to get the manager, he and some cooks made my shake, and he told me not to do it again, but I told him I did it a year earlier and I even showed him the note, I kept it because the place was cool for the little note. He said to just not do it again. I even tried to apologize to the lady, but she wasn't having it. So overall, that one interaction with that woman ruined my mood and my taste for milkshakes! read more

First visit and it was exceptional! Very informal atmosphere, when you walk in, but immediately greeted by a staff member who went through how to order, etc. Very friendly. The hamburger choices are many, and can be a bit overwhelming, but we placed our order, including large family order of fries and milk shake. The burgers are fantastic and full of flavor, with a little too much salt, but very, very good! Order of fries was perfect for four people and the shake quality was creamy and flavorful. Delicious food. Burgers are always seasoned but sometimes a bit too much salt. The fries are perfect 90% of the time. I LOVE their cheesesteak fries with the candied jalapeño and damn that cheese is good. Husband loves the pizza me burger. And their milkshakes are good. Flavors aren't bad but I find the strawberry shortcake to be too sweet. But hubs loves it. You can easily spend 100 bucks for a family of 5, but I never feel ripped when I leave. Portions are perfect. Customer service is always great. And the signs crack the kids up every time. We make the drive a couple times a month which is an hour. I feel that speaks volumes on its own. We stayed at the Fairway Villas down the road. I was going to grill some steaks but by the time we got ready to go buy the steaks we realized it was late and we would have to still go to the supermarket and then come back to grill. So we began to look for take-out options in the area. We searched GrubHub and seamless to see what was available and close by. When Tony beef option came up we looked at the menu, once I saw the grilled cheese bun I immediately asked how far is this store. My wife said it was 5 minutes away I said let's go. We got there about 30 minutes before closing they were no longer doing dine-in orders but that's okay we were looking for takeout. The ordering process was pretty straightforward and they had screens to take the orders up front as if we were in a McDonald's or something. We each placed our Order for our burgers they had a lot of options to add to the burgers like different sauces, many toppings and a couple different bun choices. I got a single burger with a grilled cheese bun, cheddar cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, ketchup, and jalapeno ranch sauce. We loved this place so much on our first visit we came back two days later to try more burgers. They also can do some of them gluten free. Food comes hot and fast. Burgers can be either 1,2,3 patties. We buy extra to share with the table. Great tastes. The what the duck burger is exotic taste that you need to try but the ol' dirty bastard burger is the best unique burger taste (peanut butter and corn chips and other ingredients)...who knew? Grabbed lunch from here recently and enjoyed it. First, the restaurant is in a strip mall and is pretty small inside, but there were a few tables available for dine-in. All ordering was done via kiosk, which was kind of OK but we ended up having to talk to an actual human worker to make some specific requests, so it probably would have been faster to just start with the human :) Also, their fountain drink dispenser was broken but the kiosk made no mention of this. Minor quibbles but I think if you're replacing human workers with technology, the technology needs to be pretty comprehensive. I ended up getting a burger and fries and everything was pretty darn good, although I will say the food was very salty! So make sure you drink lots of water and/or knock some of the salt off. Overall, I would consider coming back here because it was affordable and tasty. read more

Found this place on tick tock. First, the food and service were very good, huge portions and great combos on their specialty burgers. I got the big shmacc. It was a higher quality Big Mac! Th sauce was spot on and huge! One reason for 4 stars over 5 is my patties were over cooked (a little dry). We also got milk shakes and the buffalo chicken sandwich which came with waffle fries and mozzarella sticks on the sandwich, it was very good. The other reason for 4 stars is, it is very spendy! We had a delicious burger last night. Best one I've had in ages. Juicy, bursting with tastes, perfect bun. Others in our group loved the black bean (veggie) burger- complete with a whole pepper & an egg in top. I caught him licking his fingers at the end. They even had a gluten free bun for the Celiac among us. The staff was very fun, a perfect compliment to an uncomplicated environment. After reaching out to the owner, he was more than gracious in refunding our order as well as covering our next meal. We returned tonight and had a great time. I visited this restaurant on a last minute food run. It was late so there were not many customers inside which was a plus for us. It gave the cashier more time to assist us with their ordering system. Orders are placed in one of the tablets located in front of the main counter. We were able to choose our burgers, customize them, add our sides, add beverages and pay once done at the tablet. This was easy to use, the menu wasn't extremely big so we were able to quickly browse through the selections and make our choices. The selections were made to order and were prepared in a timely matter. The dining room was huge and able to seat many people during earlier hours. Plus, we saw a few people stop in to pick up their take-out orders since you are able to order ahead with other applications. I ordered a cheeseburger with a grilled cheese bun, a large tater tots and a fountain soda. The tater tots were dark and over cooked. The cheeseburger was amazing; the grilled cheese bun was very yummy experience and I just wish I was able to have eaten in the dining area to fully experience the gooey melted cheese but luckily we were able to get our order in before they closed for the night. I have passed this location for the past 20 years or so, way before it was Tony Beef and still Shea's (both the old and new Shea's) and then Shea's moved down the street. I never really noticed that anything took its place because its pretty nondescript from the Jimmie Leeds Rd side. We were hungry and we wanted takeout after a day at the refuge and Tony Beef came up on the Yelp radar. Think Five Guys but better - juicy, plump burgers made to order and customizable in so many ways. A double would be challenging to eat. Use tablets to order or order and pay from your phone and come and pick it up. I am not a fan of the fries as they have some sort of coating on them. They are good, but just not my style. It wasn't gamey, had a very mild taste and went great with the rest of what made my burger. It was juicy and filling. Honestly my eyes were bigger than my stomach when I went for the double. A single would have been enough. It was hella messy though. Grab a bunch of napkins. The fries were cooked perfectly. Nice and golden, lightly salted. They are the regular fast food type fries, not shoestring or steak, but the medium size you get a most shops. The milkshake was also good. They have a ton of flavors, very interesting ones too. This place made me struggle between 4-5 stars. Something was missing and honestly I know what it was. If this place could have a liquor license in the hell that is NJ ABC laws, it would be over the top. Those burgers need a nice beer or a warm soothing whiskey to wash them down. read more

Legit good burger and clean smart design concept for this new burger joint in Galloway Twp. Kiosk ordering is convenient. The kiosk's (2) are easy to use and utilizes an easy interface for ordering. It's similar to how you order at a WaWa or Quik Check. A couple of suggestions to enhance the kiosk experience is to add an eat in/take out option, perhaps adding ability to add condiments on the side rather than on the burger and your preference of how you want the burger cooked. There was an attendant behind the counter to assist or provide any additional details not able to be handled by the kiosk. You can pretty much have as many toppings as you want on the regular burger at no additional cost with the exception of a few "premium" toppings that are a small additional cost. These costs are reasonable and they are posted so you know what you're adding. There are plenty of "free" toppings and the selection is better than other comparable burger places. There is also a self serve touch screen soft drink dispenser (refills incl) and the fries are really good, dare I say McDonalds"like", which is a compliment. Also, the buns are baked in house daily and are great. Kind of a cross between brioche and a traditional hamburger bun. The atmosphere compliments the simple offerings. It's kinda industrial with concrete floors/countertops, simple modern seating and retro signage/decor. The NO traditional wait service is also a plus and provides for a more casual experience. There are simple games on the tables to kill time while you wait for the made to order food like Connect Four, etc. It's Five Guys"ish" feeling where you order and they call you when it's ready. During our visit the counter attendant did bring our order to the table. Prices are reasonable. We had a party of 4. All ordered burgers (one with a .99 add on), 4 soft drinks and small order of fries and it was like 42 bux or so... I'll say it....Five Guys or Tony Beef. I go....Tony Beef. Went last Sunday afternoon. Staff was friendly, inside was clean, covid friendly seating, system to order was pretty simple if you are a tech savvy person. Took our order to go because kids. We are still kind of new to the area and have been looking for a burger spot for a while. So happy I read about this one. Our food was delicious. It had to be a half pound burger. It was huge. The bun was buttery soft. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with mushroom, LTO, garlic aioli and a side of waffle fries.
