Now as far as Atlantic City sub shop, customer service is superb, food superb....owners we're not even gonna talk about how handsome he is cause you could see that in his videos I think that's why dey madd but the couple that owns/runs the place they are the sweetest people you're going to meet. 5/5 from the first bite of my mushroom cheese steak with fried onions, lettuce and tomato on a torpedo role that I picked up today. On a day like today I was definitely in need of some comfort food and this hit the proverbial spot. The location has easy and free parking in the produce junction plaza. There was no wait on my order that was handed to me with the warmest of greetings and smiles. I look forward to returning to enjoy this AC Sub Shop's sandwiches. There are no photos of my sub because it's better if you go to see for yourself just how delicious these sandwiches are with the right amount of spice/saltiness. I normally have oregano and sweet bell peppers added. I didn't here in order have the most authentic experience on how they make their version of the sub and the flavor with no adjustments. I was very excited to try this sub shop but was sadly disappointed by their bread, which I feel really makes a sub. It's hard to eat, and doesn't allow much room for ingredients to be filled in it. I ordered the mixed cheese sub and i wasn't a fan. Felt like more cheese than anything else which overpowered the sub. I do have to say the service was great. They were out of smoked provolone and I got a call from them letting me know since I ordered online. read more

I used to love ordering from here but their customer service has drastically gone down hill in the last few months :( I usually place online orders for delivery or pickup without an issue. Recently, my deliveries have come missing items (usually the drink) and l've had to call back 2-3 times just to get my missing items re-delivered. Now today, the store cancelled my order because they were "out of bread and closed for the night" at 7:25pm yet google says there are open until 8. With today being a national holiday you would think they would be more prepared to have a rush. I will not be placing another order with them, the quality of their food is hardly worth this struggle. read more

While I was in Egg Harbor Township, I needed quick take out. I drove up to the strip mall where Atlantic City sub shop is located. They definitely stood out as having the most activity at that time of the evening. So, I went in. Because of Covid, they're not letting anybody into the shop, but the workers will take your order outside or you can place your order over the phone. Then they'll notate your car and bring the completed order out to you. I thought they were very friendly and accommodating. The style of Italian subs they serve is similar to White House subs, which is in Atlantic City and has been a landmark there for decades. Either this shop's style is based upon that one, or they both come from the same origin. I can't say. But what I can say is that is a time honored, perfected recipe, and I absolutely thought it was delicious. You can tell they use real baked Italian bread that comes from and Italian bakery every day. I really liked the hot pepper sauce that comes on the side. And the quality of the meats was excellent and very well arranged in the sub. So, combining both service and food quality, I would say it was a very pleasurable experience, and when I'm in the neighborhood I will definitely go back again. read more

I generally don't take my reviews in this direction, but I am going to for AC Subs. My parents both worked here during their young adulthood, so I am overly familiar with this location, their menu, and their consistency. I work at the Retro Fitness down the street and I order out during shifts when I forget to bring my own lunch/dinner. Today I ordered a house salad with chicken tenders, and I walked down to pick it up. I was blown away by the friendliness of the two women behind the counter. What stood out the most, though, was the fact that they were singing Taylor Swift to each other. It was so wholesome, and created a level of friendliness that I have not been accustomed to. I felt so comfortable in the shop, and I truly felt the happiness radiating off of these women. The salad was delicious, as always, and I will continue to return. Good Work Ladies!!! read more

I recently ordered a sub tray and some salads for a small gathering I was hosting. I am so happy I decided to stop in AC Subs. First of all, the staff was really knowledgeable and helpful. I told them how many people were coming and they advised me on how much food to order. On the day of the gathering, the food was picked up and I was very happy with everything. Not only was everything high quality and delicious, but it was nicely presented and garnished. My guests enjoyed their lunch. Another reviewer said it was a bit pricey, but this is a situation where you get what you pay for. Maybe you could find a cheaper sub tray, but it's not going to be as good as theirs and you're not going to get the service I got from them. I would definitely order from them again. read more

I'm town for the week and needed something to eat. Went to Yelp and found this sandwich shop. Staff was super friendly. The lady who helped me suggested a specific sandwich and explained why. Ordered it up. She was very personable and talked to me while she made my sandwich, showing that their customer service is top notch. The sandwich was awesome. The bread was fresh and all ingredients were fresh. It was not over loaded with a bunch of of condiments. Plenty of meat and cheese and just enough toppings. Not enough sauce on the more expensive Meatball Deluxe (Half) sub and the CHEESE ALL STUCK TO THE PAPER and could not even be peeled off. UGH. Meatballs were ok, but by far not the best I've ever had...acceptable. NO BREAD AND BUTTER was given with the garden salad. Curly fries small order was incredibly SMALL for $7 and superrr GREASY (wont order that ever again). Garden salad was acceptable. Roast Beef (Half) was good. Not so sure I'll order from them again. Seems hit or miss. Just not that happy with the order as a whole. Took 1 star off for missing bread and butter supposed to be with salad. Took another 1 star off for ALL THE CHEESE STUCK TO THE PAPER of the hot meatball sub, which couldnt even be peeled off. Another 1 star off for the super GREASY Crispy Curly Fries that barely filled half the tiny box they were packed in(I guess it was a good thing it was a super skimpy serving because I probably would've gotten massive heart burn if the order had a sufficient amount of fries). Cheese steaks are excellent. A bit pricey, but high quality ingredients none the less.

I remember several more of these restaurants in the area back in the 90s and I believe this one is the last remaining relic to that time. Their menu hasn't changed in 20+ years really, reliably decent cheesesteaks and snacks. Kind of dingy and greasy inside, the theme is pretty ridiculous but it works for nostalgia purposes. Not quite as good as Pete's or White House but just about on par with Dino's, Vic's, and Sack O's. read more

We were hungry on our way down to AC so I yelped it up to find this place in a little plaza. The service was really friendly. Prices were pretty cheap. We got the "healthy" chicken sandwich- I forget the name but it had a little heart symbol. We split a half and it was more than plenty. I posted a pic if you want to see a half of a half. I called the business this morning and before I could say a word I was placed on hold. After 7 or 8 minutes I hung up and called back but same exact thing happened. The third time i called and the same young woman answered a spike first and said " don't put me on hold again". This is a salad I paid $12.95 for, I have been going to this place for years and I have never been so disappointed in the quality of the food I was given. Their bread is amazing - a semi baguette style with a crunch - and the veggies are fresh. The service is always very nice and I have consistently been satisfied. Love this spot friendly service, great sandwich, delicious soups, a lot of bang for your buck and a lot of old school favorites. You can tell that they have a lot of regular customers but they treat the first timers with the same love and respect. Came in twice. Impeccable service both time. Got a whole eggplant parm and it was enough for two full meals. The second time I enjoyed Maryland crab soup. Can't go wrong eating here. If I lived in AC I'd be a regular as well. The Italian was made with delicious meats, crisp lettuce and tomatoes. There was just the right amount of oil and vinegar. The service was fast. I ordered delivery from ACSS over the weekend, and it was really delicious. Let me first say that I'm from Philly, so it's not easy to impress me when it comes to subs (or hoagies, as we lovingly refer to them). I ordered the "Atlantic City Regular", which is known as an Italian Hoagie where I'm from. The delivery was really prompt and the driver was pleasant. The sandwich itself really was delicious. The quality of the meat itself was very impressive, and the sandwich ingredients were very balanced. It wasn't piled on with lettuce as so many sandwiches usually are, so I didn't have to deal with everything constantly falling out of my hoagie...err...sub. The only bummer was that they didn't have any pickles or long hots. I couldn't tell if this was something they didn't carry or they were just out. Either way, you lost a star for that one, bro. I will say, as much as I like White House Subs and Sugar Hill for outstanding sandwiches (and their availability of pickles and long hots), ACSS might still win out because of the supreme quality of their meats. read more
