Wow. Nice work all around. We stayed to eat in. Ordering was really simple and very fast. Menu was easy to follow. Got the three meat plate with ribs, brisket and sausage. Brisket was my favorite but the jalapeño sausage and ribs were great. Sides were coleslaw and fried okra. Both were great. I got the house bbq sauce and the spicy sauce. The spicy sauce was great. Just the right amount of heat. The staff was awesome and friendly. So on the way out, we got the XL Meal for the kids who were at the house. We got the ribs, brisket and chicken. Sides were mac and cheese, waffle fries and potato casserole. Also got 12 wings. The kids loved it. And yes, I ate again to try the chicken and mac and cheese and potato casserole and wings. Pulled pork was "Fluffed" to make it look like you were getting a lot. It was not the way Dickey's traditionally serves it. They scrimped on the fries also. My wife asked for her fries no seasoning and they made my fries the same way. They added a recycling fee to the bill and also charged me a 5.00 tip and said that I did it and there was nothing they could do about it. This place has gone down hill the past few years. Not the most mouth watering BBQ joint however a decent new addition to the Egg Harbor Township area as of recent. Unfortunately, my experience was meh as I went with my family on their grand opening Saturday where they had the $2 pulled pork sandwich. We asked for 4 of the $2 sandwiches and came back to our table with pulled pork sliders instead. I was ready to accept that it wasn't the best grand opening promo, however when I looked over to my right and I saw a family with regular sized sandwiches. I asked them if that was the $2 ones and they said yes. I was a little sad that the employees didn't think to question if we had wanted the sandwiches or the sliders especially since their one big promo for that day was the $2 pulled pork sandwiches...we went back up again for the actual sandwiches and had told people in line to make sure to get the sandwiches and not the sliders as the employees are not going to correct you and will give you the $2 sliders instead. The rest of the food we got was alright, but definitely not piping hot in my opinion and I had to add extra BBQ sauce to almost everything except the sausages. I've been to other BBQ joints and this fell below my expectations. However, if you're not overly picky and you're okay with basic BBQ this may be an okay location for you. First off you must keep in mind that this place has barely been open for one month. If not for that I probably would have given them one star. With that said...here goes.... The place has a great look. Very inviting and kinda what you want to see in a BBQ joint. The service was quick and the staff was friendly and eager so answer any questions that we had about the menu. I got the 3 meats, Brisket, Ribs and Jalapeño Cheddar Kiebasa. Sides were Baked beans and potato salad. My wife got pulled pork with green beans and cole slaw. The brisket was good and moist but it had little smoke flavor and very little of the "bark" you see with bbq And for "Texas" BBQ that's sad. The ribs were not good. Again, little smoke flavor and tough. You can't really screw up Kielbasa so it was good with nice flavor. The pulled pork was not good though. Again no smoke, no bark kinda tasted like steamed pork. Very sad. The sides were okay with the green beans being the highlight of it all. They were awesome! Peppery and done perfectly. The cole slaw was really good too but really cold. The potato salad had potential but it was like mashed potatoes (not sure if that's their intent) and were ice cold as well. Baked beans were soupy with little flavor too, they should be a highlight but clearly seemed like an afterthought. Baked beans and BBQ go hand in hand and these were a clear miss. They have three BBQ sauces that are served warmed. I personally did not like that but my wife did. The sauces were very basic. They have BBQ, Spicy and Sweet. Nothing special here. I'm a sauce fan so I'd like to see several options at my table, like most other places. You also have to spoon the sauces into little cups and that creates a mess. That's a product of them keeping it warm. A big plus....free ice cream! For "Texas Style BBQ" (I grew up in Central Texas btw) the brisket should be number one as it was here but, it can be way better that's for sure. I was very disappointed with Dickey's as I had high expectations. But, I will give them another try later once they've worked out the kinks as they are a new joint and that's understandable. read more

This spot never fails. When I travel to Atlantic City, I always head here. The staff is friendly, helpful. The food is always hot and tasty. Best BBQ I have eaten in a while. Beauty of this is you get fast food service with gourmet BBQ flavor. Even the fruit punch and sweet tea was magic. The ribs were falling off the bone. This is a newer restaurant in the area and since I'm moving and have to eat takeout until I'm settled into my new place I said let me give them a shot. I decided to go with the 3 meat plate to get to try a variety of bbq / smoked meats and a couple of sides. Seeing jalapeño cheddar kielbasa on the menu totally pulled me in and it didn't disappoint at all! It was the perfect balance of heat and meat and cheese! I've never had it but would totally order it again! The turkey was soooooo juicy and when that can be accomplished (because turkey can typically be dry) you know you've got a winner! And the brisket was also pretty tasty (and if I had to rank it out of the 3 meats it would be #3). The coleslaw was decent as were the beans but the Carolina BBQ sauce was BOMB !!!! I took a bite of the turkey with the raw onion and dipped it in the BBQ sauce and it was like heaven! My boyfriend and I visited Dickeys on Sunday around 4:30 pm. There were few other options for food in the area. This restaurant mimicks a southern BBQ dive bar. There is wood decor, they were playing country music and I could smell the wood fire stove. The cashier was kind, quick and helpful. I ordered a two meat meal (pulled pork, brisket, green beans, mac and cheese, texas toast) and my boyfriend ordered the brisket sandwich with mac and a drink. The food was delicious. I have four stars because of the price; my meal was around $18 and my boyfriend's was $13 and change. We didn't order a significant amount of food, and the portion sizes were lovely. I just think the prices are a bit steep, especially if more than two people are eating. A kids meal was $11-$13 and to order for a family, price range would look like $80 - $120. I think that's a little over the top. Overall, the quality of the food and the taste was great! I will return when I have more money to spend. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Just left and won't be back. Employees seem to want to get u out so they can go back to using their smartphones. Cashier was the main one, I went to get a bit more sauce from condiments and she sharply said I put it in your bag telling me I only get 2 for a $17 combo. I wanted a diff flavor. Anyway I asked for napkins and she pointed to "where they used to be" and had to bring paper towels out from the back. I left an realized she put no utensils in the bag and went bk for utensils and she pointed again . There was one broken fork in a filthy container . That whole condiment station hadn't been cleaned or restocked since prob lunch. Decent BBQ food that is boarder line fast food. I only say it boarder lines because as much as you like to order on line and pick your food up when promised it never is ready. Their policy is to not start your order until you show up to pick it up. You can even order hours in advance for a set time to pick up and it won't be ready. Therefore you wait always. Only work around is to then call ahead and ask them to start it now, and sometimes that works. I've asked and they said "it's so the food won't be cold". Umm I'm factoring that in like every other place I order from. I'm driving a 15 minutes each way and now have to sit and wait?? Nah it's good but not that good. read more

This is easily the best BBQ place in south jersey, if not the entire state. The brisket here is dripping with flavor, ribs melt off the bone, and the pulled pork is delicious. Great BBQ sauce choices, though I think my favorite is their signature sauce. Moreover, you get a really healthy size portion for the best price I've ever seen for BBQ. It was meh at best. Had the Brisket and the pulled pork with Mac and cheese, beans, and the included roll. The brisket was OK, but very fatty, so my portion was mostly fat. There was no smoke ring, just grey meat. It lacked flavor and required being dunked in their just OK BBQ sauce. It was not tender but not chewy. The pulled pork was very grisly and also very fatty. I couldn't eat most of the small portion because it just was chewy from way too much fat and the grisliness left a bad mouth feel. It wasn't very flavorful either. But adding the BBQ didn't really help with this one. The Mac and cheese was Also, just OK. Someone else said it tasted like Stouffer's and that not too far off. The beans were the best part, but still, not great. Sadly they also decided to not fill that side as much as they did for the Mac and cheese, so the one side I actually liked, I got less of. Go figure. All and all, it was as if they took a Famous Dave's style place and just did a worse job. The cashier overcharged me and when I tried to speak with her about it, she told me it's correct and shrugged me off. I ordered 3 chicken tacos with everything on it, including jalapenos. The cook informed the cashier what I ordered, she asked him for clarification "which tacos am I ordering is it the fancy?" He clearly said NO, IT'S JUST THE REGULAR. She charged me for 3 Fancy Pork tacos at $4.42 each plus $1.00 for cheese. When I told her it's not fancy or pork, she said it's the same price for all. If that's the case, then why is she asking the cook for clarification to ring up the correct item. I paid $22.62 for 3 small pint sized chicken tacos and a medium Okra. I took pictures of the food and receipt, which I'm waiting for a Manager or Corporate office to contact me about. I've been to this location many times, ordered the same item, and never paid this amount. I understand pricing can change, but $13.26 for THREE TINY CHICKEN TACOS that I previously paid aprx $6 TOTAL before??? I will add my pictures to this review as well, so everyone can see. Caught a weird vibe going in, counter folks appeared anxious and my request for extra sauce wasn't cheerfully received although I could've just got my own from the condiment bar. Pork ribs are indeed fall off the bone tender. The ribs, pulled and cubed pork all lack distinguishing characteristics but the sauces help immensely! Sausage actually tastes like a regular hot dog. Creamed spinach was soupy, not at all cheesy, same with the mac/cheese. Great cabbage cole slaw, nice balance, sorta sweet. Not authentic BBQ, just okay in my opinion. YOU be the judge. read more
