Went in to try out the newly opened asian resto but since it was late at night (they closed at 7:30), I tried out Flavors instead. This replaced the old Vagabond location. I got the crab empanadas and fried whiting with white rice and mac n cheese. The crab empanadas were really good! Fresh tasting crab and the entire empanada was loaded with crab meat! Surprisingly good take on empanadas. The whiting was good too and the mac n cheese was yum. Overall great experience. Will definitely be going back. read more

Much needed fast casual dining experience in Atlantic County area. It's perfect for the college crowd near Stockton, and the medical crowd working in the area as there's usually not much to eat. This definitely beats the college and hospital cafeterias haha. There are 4 vendors/food stands, (whatever you want to call it) inside this food court. It was built specifically for these vendors in mind. Interesting set up with three different restaurants in the building. You can pick anything from burgers to burritos, or even coffee! We decided on getting Vagabond Burger cause we well really in the mood for some cheeseburgers and fries. We arrived around 7:30 on a Friday night to no line, and the food came out super fast! There was two of us planning to take home leftovers for later in the evening, so we ordered a lot of food. We started with the tequila shrimp bangers, drenched in a spicy aioli sauce. These are a must if you're into funky new appetizers! I went with the Vagabond onion burger because it had fried onions and caramelized onions. Also, it had a mix of pepper jack and bleu cheeses, which is perfect for those who aren't too keen on a potent cheesy flavor. My friend got the spicy California burger with avocado and bacon and enjoyed it a lot. Both of us decided to make it a meal for a few extra dollars, so we got fries and a drink with our order. Picture a mini food court and that's pretty much what you have here. I believe there's 5 separate restaurants in which to choose. There's a burger joint, coffee shop, vegetarian place, one other, and El Coyote Mexican fare, that my daughter and I chose. You go up to the counter order your food and wait for your order to arrive at community tables. For lunch I decided on the steak and cilantro empanadas and my daughter opted for the half order of chicken mango quesadilla. Our friendly server came to our table with a smile and warned me my empanadas were blazing hot (temperature.) She added that she gave me a fork and knife so I wouldn't burn myself. Nice. The food was very good; I tried the quesadilla too. The dining area and the men's room were quite clean, food was enjoyable, & service was good. This is a great idea. It is a cafeteria style dining room with branches of popular local restaurants. So, this is just one of a few locations. At this location, currently is a Vagabond, Chido Burrito and Greens & Grains. These bring a variety of choices and make a good location to go with picky eaters. Further, I believe there is a sensory deprivation float tank service right next door. So, a burrito and sensory deprivation may be an interesting combo! :-) read more

First time being in The Exchange, the set up was very unique. There is plenty of seating and a wide variety of food to choose from. I went to El coyote and ordered the Tequila Lime Tenders & Chicken and Rice soup (soup of the day). My total order came out to be around $16. Now, as a college student, that's pretty pricey for only two items. Out of the two items that I ordered, I definitely enjoyed the Tequila Lime tenders. They. Were. Amazing. The sauce that went with the tenders was incredible and the tenders were juicy and not dry. I definitely recommend them if you're a wings/tenders person. On the other hand, the soup was not so great. DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW IS FOR EL COYOTE LOCATED IN THE EXCHANGE Stopped here to get dinner for the family. Came in around 6:00pm and placed our order. We ordered several things including the tequila lime wings, which I figured would take the longest to cook; the rest of the food was already pre-cooked and just had to be assembled. As we're waiting, I notice several other people come in and out, order, wait a few minutes, have their name called, pick up their order and leave. After about 35-40 minutes, I walk to the counter and ask if my food would be ready soon. The girl picks up a bag that had been sitting there for a GOOD 15 minutes, turns around and say, "Oh it's been sitting right here. I thought this was a pickup." I said it IS a pickup and I've been sitting right here. We get home and not only was the food COLD but it tasted horrible. The pork had NO taste at all and the tostada it was sitting on had become soggy from sitting so long. The wings were cold and not the best tasting and the rice was BEYOND bland. Same goes for the rest of the food. Just not a good experience. I should've just taken the $40 it cost me and flushed it down the toilet. Very disappointed and won't be going back. read more

Complicated to review because this place is four different eateries put together but I'll try to offer some insights here. The bottom line is that the food is WAY over priced for what they are serving and the kind of atmosphere provided (a sort of hip food court that by itself is neat, but can get crowded quickly) The coffee shop Roots is something I do still frequent but it is the only shop I'll patronize. Decent coffee, if not stellar, with very good pastries that are lightly sweet. The baristas have always been very nice. Price is on the high side but not crazy like the other restaurants it shares a building with. The burger place and mexican food place in particular are charging outrageous amounts for food. If you want a simple veggie quesadilla you'll have to pay the steak or shrimp price up around $14.50. Seriously? You are charging more for veggie than chicken or pork? The burgers are similarly pricey. I had a decent falafel wrap at greens and grains and some of their food is ok for the price considering the fresh/healthy ingredients, but they also want $8 for a small bottle of juice! I know it seems like I'm really hounding this place over the cost, but it is a very real problem. I want them to succeed because the location is great and I hope that they figure out they are out-charging their potential customers. If they are responsive and adjust their prices I'll come back, but until then I'll find something more affordable. read more

They have a coffee and tea bar, a vegan restaurant (Greens and Grains) which is to die for, a Spanish food restaurant, and a BBQ style place with burgers and fries. Just to start this review off on a good note. We have been to the EHT location at El Coyote. And the Mexican food there is delicious. We decided to try the El Coyote in the new Exchange in Galloway Twp. We decided to get take out. We ordered A Chicken Burrito. A Chicken and Steak Chimichanga's. And a whole Chicken Quesadilla. None of which comes with rice and Beans. And if you want sour cream expect to pay a $1. Salsa .50. Rice $2.99. Beans $2.99. We got home and opened our meals. We were immediately put off by the pool of grease that the Steak Quesadilla's were sitting in. Even though we ordered the Chicken Quesadilla. Then off to the Chimichanga's both were soggy and not Crispy. Then, I took one bite out of my Burrito. It was okay at best. Had really no flavor. Decided to take the food back. The Manager who was unsympathetic. Didn't even offer to remake our dinners. And told us the reason the Chimichanga's were soggy is because of the take out containers they were in...We did get a refund. Hungry, we decided to go up the street to Absecon at Mariachis. Where for the same price we will get Good Mexican food...Minus the grease. With rice, beans, salsa and sour cream included in our meals. read more

I've tried every place here and I haven't found something I didn't like yet. The food is slightly more expensive but you're getting really good food; you get what you pay for in a good way. I have a family member who is disabled and in a wheelchair/scooter. The Exchange is very easy for him to get around and it takes a lot of stress off of our family when going out.
