Rice and food is decent. Had young kids working nbd, great for them to learn work ethic. But the poor kid was so distracted by his iPad game they staple my bag w no soy or duck sauce... nbd but there was an adult who definitely works there watching tv at the table. First time trying Tong Sing tonight and the food was very fresh if not just a little blah in it's flavor. The Kung Pow was not in any way spicy for whatever reason. I like just a little spice and this had none. Was a little disappointed but everything tasted fresh and was well prepared. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was decent but the majority of the dish was all white rice which had soaked up all the sauce. There was just a small amount of chicken and veggies so overall it was just a container of rice with a little veggie and meat added on top. The steamed dumplings were really thick and gummy and had an odd gravy type liquid on the inside. Both containers were thrown out. Just not that great. Lastly, the Mu Shu chicken was decent. Again, everything tasted fresh but seemed to lack in flavor. The wraps were decent and not stale at all. I think overall Tong Sing is a decent place to go for Chinese even though I didn't care for the food. Others might prefer the way the food is prepped here but I'll probably continue on with some of the other more local places. read more

Great This is a family run business with the freshest food! Don't be fooled by the small front. They made my food exactly the way i like it. I dont like the sauces, so he steamed my veggies and out fresh sliced ginger in it too flavor it, just as i love!! Yum!! I don't eat Chinese or a lot but will go out of my way to eat here again!! A+. This is the best!! When i asked for no msg, he said they don't use msg!! They don't need to! Even the rice was delicious and fluffy! Im not a rice person! Just delicious, all these years right down the street a place local with ok crab rangoons, this is a step up from the vast amount of places serving just absolutely awful ones. If you've read my reviews then you know where the best ones are. But their egg drop wanton soup is just wonderful and i highly recommend it. The general tsos got some very high praise. Cozy little Chinese Food restaurant on Route 10 near Dairy Queen in Plainville. Friendly workers & fast service. They are our go to for family favorites General Tso's chicken & Szechuan chicken. Occasionally I get their lunch specials. For $4 you get a meal with some fried rice. Taking the price into consideration I would have to say the lunch deals are a steal. I don't normally order if I'm not getting the lunch deal because the food isn't all that great. Avoid the hot and sour soup at all cost! I found the soup to be too thick and it tastes very similar to the instant hot and sour soup packs. Overall this place is good for small cheap meals but avoid purchasing anything over $5 because if you want a meal for over $5 you can find a better Chinese take out. read more

I really enjoy Tong Sing's food. The restaurant is small, but there are a few tables if you're on your lunch break or something. Limited parking, but there is a lot for the grocery store next door. Quick and friendly service, full menu as is expected at most chinese restaurants. Comparable pricing. My favorites are the general tso's chicken, which is not normally crazy spicy, but has a kick (you can ask for less spice - we frequently do for my grandmother), and the crab rangoons are delicious. Free delivery. Wheelchair accessible. They are also open pretty late on the weekends, which is great. read more

Wasn't a huge fan. Prices are good, but you don't get as much in a dinner combo as a lot of other places. The boneless spare ribs had a good flavor, but were very fatty. Pork fried rice was decent. I'm always in search of good Chinese food that delivers. They are reasonably priced and the food is okay. The delivery time was quick. They gave me a pint of their homemade Duck sauce. I got the General Tso's chicken lunch special. I asked for it crispy and it wasn't really. I should have asked for it spicier. They used a lot of peas in the pork fried rice and that's an instant dislike for me. A few, ok. A ton, blech!! The Crab Rangoon was good and the boneless spare ribs weren't too fatty. Almost as good a s I remembered it. Have not had this food for 15 years and recently moved back to the area and since they deliver...well, I had to have it of course! Had the bone in spare ribs and except for being a little bit dry, they were plentiful and tasty. Fried rice is better than average with actual vegetables in it! Lo Mein was very good although it could have used a tiny bit more sauce. Pepper steak was fantastic. Hot, fresh and loaded with steak. Eggrolls were how I remembered them = a bit below average. Small and not very flavorful. All in all, excellent choice if you want standard Chinese American fare, at a great price and delivered fast and fresh. read more

There food is ok, same as any fast foot Chinese. But today it took an hour and 15 minutes to get delivered. Our office called at 45 minutes and we were told he was on his way. If you've tasted good Chinese food, you won't like Tong Sing. I hate to ruin anyone's livelihood, but these guys should find another line of work - or at least get a new chef. The Orange Beef was mushy and couldn't be eaten. The Crab Rangoon was greasy, the fried shells of which were so thick and tough you could hardly cut them with a knife. Brown rice is not available. The only edible item was steamed chicken and vegetables - how do you ruin that? read more

well ill tell you what i ll never order from there ever again my mom had paid it all with her bank card and she looks on her bank and wham its more then what she /paid for in other news. in her statement they charged her 4.00 more for what. on top of it they don't believe they did. in other words i watch out if you pay with a card you to may be charged down the line. read more
