Best BBQ pulled pork west of the Mississippi!! Being a native of the heart of BBQ country (Memphis, TN), finding good BBQ is one of my high priorites when I move to a new area. I feel so fortunate to have found Tom's. The food is flawless and the employees are kind and helpful. And I have to give 6 stars to the pecan pie. I have recently moved to Pearl, MS and can get great BBQ all over the place, but When I lived in Chandler Tom's was my go-to for my BBQ fix!!!! read more

Haven't had a single thing here I didn't like! Everything is tasty and comes out fast!

Just based off the service and the warm friendly staff this place is a 5 star. The food being delicious is just the icing on the cake. Don't forget to try the fish. Yes the fish, even though it's a bbq spot the fish is amazing. read more

I have been here twice now and both times the food has been very good. The servers are really nice and check back to see if you need anything and how the meal is. The bbq is good and the shrimp and fish too. I haven't had anything bad here. Only good Eatin' here. read more

Welcoming atmosphere and home town food. If you're from Chicago that is. Kaylee and Stephanie are the most personable servers ! Fun every time. Like seeing old friends. I love this BBQ restaurant. It's not too big but the menu has a lot of options. I almost always get the loaded baked potato with pulled pork. The pork is super tender and the potato has all the right toppings on it. Staff is super friendly and accommodated our large party easily. Also I had an old fashioned that is barrel aged and it was amazing. Definitely one of my favorite bbq places in the area. read more

I like Tom's. I am from Chicago and many of the dishes remind me of home. Everyone is very nice and friendly. The ribs are usually pretty good and the Italian beef is the best. Will be going back. read more

I get the same thing every time. Beef Brisket dinner...always good when dining in. Last couple time on our take out dinners was very disappointing. I don't usually write reviews, but when you spend $20.00 for 1 dinner and you get something that looks like my doggies put it together is nonsense. Wish I could post picture. Not letting me. I did try and call before posting this , but I guess they were very busy and kept being put on hold. read more

We ordered the burnt end dinner and 1/2 slab of ribs. The burnt ends were perfect and the ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious! The in only reason this visit didn't get 5 stars is that both meat dishes came out warm and not piping hot! read more

I loved everything about this place! Casual dining at it's best! Hard to choose between Burnt Ends or Brisket Dinner! Coleslaw was great, but the beans were to die for! I'm coming back again and again! read more

Overall awesome experience! Read a couple reviews before I went in and decided to get the 1/2 slab dinner plate with fries and Mac and cheese. My ribs were fall off the bone yummy and their mild sauce did indeed have some kick but not spicy at all. Mac and cheese was ooey gooey yummy too! My fiancé got the pulled pork dinner plate with the same sides as I (we are very simple people, lol). He said the pork was great but would have enjoyed a bun maybe? It just came with a good serving of pulled pork! Customer service was good. We came in 45-50 minutes before they closed on a Monday and it was us and a few other people. Kaylee was super friendly! We went home full and happy AND with some major leftovers. Next time my fiancé and I will probably share a dinner plate. read more

In response to Yvone D. My wife and I have been customers to this location for over 7 years since moving here from Iowa. We find the food and atmosphere to be very pleasing and comfortable. Now, I am white and my wife is black, and never have we ever witnessed anything you have mentioned. They have employed all races of people in the business and they treat all like family. I was not there when you supposedly witness the incident that you made remarks on. But believe me when I say, if there was ever a employee that were racist, they would no longer be employed there. The owner is very concerned with all his clientel and no favortism. As for the ordering of the food, it depends on the people. All are asked to order at the window and like many of us regulars, they pretty much know what we like and may take an order at the bar. Tom's has always held the upmost when catering to all its customers. And, they have helped many others in the community as well as the least fortunate. Supported food and clothing drives for the homeless. I see nothing of what you have claimed. I would definately give Tom's BBQ 5 stars! read more

Tom's BBQ - Very friendly services great smells will comment when we get food! - Barbeque Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

The brisket and Italian beef sandwiches were great! The jalepeno Mac and cheese SUCKED! It was watered down Kraft Mac n cheese shells with an absurd amount of jalapeño juice. Probably designed to mask the FAKE cheese. read more

This is the nicest Tom's BBQ out of all the locations I've been to. It's quite spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating. Ordering was easy at the counter, and the cashier was very friendly and engaging. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich combo with chili. It was made in lightning fast time- very nice! Sodas are self serve at the fountain, with iced tea as well. The sandwich was a hearty portion of tender pork, coleslaw, and bbq sauce. With the hot and spicy chili, I was definitely full for lunch. Definitely a good place for bbq if you are in the area! read more

I am completely biased cause I eat hear all the time and have since first finding this gem 7 years ago and totally disappointed I missed out on this place all the years before. The BBQ meats are so good we don't use sauce. I have never been to a BBQ place where the meats didn't need the places BBQ sauce. In addition to BBQ they have also got Italian Beef sandwiches that are better than Portillos so I never have to go to that crazy place again. Even the fish is delectable and of course one of my faves is Chicago burger. The owner and the staff is the best I have ever ever ever been able to be served by. Very accommodating to the point of adding thing to the menus because it's one of their customers favorites. I go out of my way to go to this place and any time I have friends or family in town this is where I bring them. God bless Tom's BBQ!!!!!!! read more

Very friendly people, mediocre BBQ. Wait staff was very friendly and welcoming. When I walked in I really had high hopes based on the service. unfortunately, as good as the device was, it just didn't make up for the bland and greasy food. I haven't had BBQ since we moved to the Valley about a year ago, and after living in Texas and Georgia this place just didn't cut it. I have never had Chicago Style BBQ before, and if Tom's a a valid representation, I won't be trying it again. read more

Always satisfying to stop in at TOMs! The loaded bake potato is awesome and burnt ends can't be beat(get there early)! Staff is friendly and efficient! Thanksgiving Smoked Turkey from TOMs was exceptional and the entire family raved about the taste and juiciness! We'll be back next year!!! read more

Really good catfish and shrimp platter. Mac n cheese is creamer style with a nice hint of some seasoning. Hush puppies could've used some maple brown butter or something to dip them in. Pulled smoked pork sandwich was really good and smelled like perfect smoked pork should smell. Very satisfied. My toddler loved the fish (ate half of mine) and she's not big on fish so that says a lot to me. Will definitely order again. Delivery was fast! read more

The All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry keeps us coming back on Fridays. The fish is great and the homemade tartar sauce is the perfect complement. Even our kids can't get enough! The service is good, the staff is friendly, the establishment is clean, and there's a "Cornhole Corner" outside where kids can burn off some energy. The patio also has long picnic tables, making this a great place for families with lots of kids. I'm so glad our neighbors (they are obsessed!) introduced us to this restaurant. I love the pulled pork sandwich, the coleslaw, and the hush puppies. read more

Great brisket here. Definitely will be returning. Everyone we came with liked their meal too.

The Brisket and pulled pork are excellent. Friendly staff, reasonable prices.

Pretty fulfilling meal, the service was very friendly and welcoming and the food arrived quickly. Nice atmosphere and the price wasn't anything outrageous. Loved the festive st Patrick theme for today. If I am in Mesa again, I'd stop here for another round. read more

The first BBQ I've had since moving to AZ like, 5 mins before lockdown and OMG!!! The chicken, get the chicken and then, get more chicken. We got a family meal with brisket, chicken (get the chicken!), and pulled pork with cornbread and Mac n cheese. I can't stop thinking about it and can't wait to get it again. The service was awesome, super nice, friendly staff and beers to go...what more could you ask for?! Love, love, love this place. read more

We love Tom's BBQ in Mesa. Great food, especially the ribs, Italian beef and pulled pork. Friday fish night is some of the best fish in town. The staff; Kaylee and Stephanie always treat us like family. read more

First time customers and we will definitely be going back. I got the pulled pork dinner and they made it a sandwich with a side of potato salad and a drink. The pork was so moist and a very good helping. The potato salad was amazing and I'm picky on ones I like because they aren't like grandmas. The bbq sauce I got was the "hot" one, not hot but had a little twang of flavor. Mom got a smoked chicken sandwich and green beans with bacon. The chicken was PERFECTLY cooked, not dry one bit. Mom's boyfriend got the brisket sandwich and baked beans... again, AMAZING!! I loved how friendly the staff was and how clean the restaurant was. As it was our first time, they brought out a sample of the fish and chips.... Heaven!! We will definitely be making this one of our top go to spots for bbq!! read more

Don't waste your time!! Nothing positive to say about this place. Mac n cheese was over cooked and bland. Italian beef was gray meat with beef broth I think... left hungry. read more

Ordered LOTS off the menu to try as 1st timers. Started with the homemade dirty potato chips. Light and crispy. Ordered the Big Piggy Pulled Pork sandwich with beans, Loaded Baked potato with brisket, Mac-daddy mac and cheese with pulled pork, and if that wasn't enough, Stephany brought us Catfish and the house tartar sauce. Fish was light and flaky with a nice seasoned batter. Pulled pork was very delicious and tender. It was offered with 2 different sauces, both really good. The potato was probably my favorite. Baked to perfection, topped with yummy goodness and Brisket! How can you go wrong with that! Now we're in a food coma! Recommend. read more

I really need to revamp on how they're doing their carry out service totally unacceptable how they're doing it they should be calling out peoples names instead of having wait for the people to come up to the order. Our food was cold when we got there and we waited outside to get into the restaurant ungodly hot with the heat and they shorted our order they didn't give us all on what we ordered. Terrible performance on the first day of opening read more

Oh how I love Tom's BBQ. Most of my life I was a vegetarian, and now at home I occasionally eat chicken for dinner, but take me to Tom's and I'll try just about anything. They also serve delectable potato salad and coleslaw. Everyone that works there is kind, patient, and very hospitable. I'm picky about where I eat, and Tom's BBQ is one of my favorites. read more

Brisket and ribs were very dry and not worth the money. The pulled pork was okay, a little soggy. We placed a large pick up order and I should have unpacked all of the bags to check the order because they forgot the sides of potato salad. They did remember the mac and cheese but I wish they would have forgotten the mac and cheese instead. It was soggy pasta shells with runny cheese and no flavor. I won't be returning or suggesting that anyone eat here. read more
