I'll start off with it was decent but absolutely nothing to write home about. First the macaroni and potato salad are store bought and if there aren't store bought, they taste store bought. For $27 for a plate I expect more love in the food and flavor. The meats were ok, nothing bad and nothing spectacular. Definitely not winning any BBQ competitions. Life is too short for ok food, I want to be blown away. I think you guys can do better. Seriously I'm not a chef but my potato and macaroni salad is way better. Im just being honest. The food here is absolutely worth the drive…read more I'm a little late posting this review, but we ordered from here for our Fourth of July celebration, and it was one of the best decisions we made. We traveled from Modesto, and after trying the food, I'd gladly make that trip again. Whether you're planning a special gathering or just looking for a reason to take a quick drive for incredible barbecue, this place is worth it. If you're dining in, the shady outdoor seating is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy your meal, and the welcoming atmosphere. We ordered enough to feed about 15-16 people, and every single person left happy. That's saying a lot because we have some pretty picky eaters in our family! The ribs were tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the mac and cheese quickly became the crowd favorite. You can tell there's real care and attention behind every dish...the flavors are bold without being overwhelming, and everything tastes homemade with its own unique touch. The staff was welcoming and friendly from start to finish, making the whole experience even better. Great barbecue has a way of bringing people together, and this meal did exactly that. Between celebrating the holiday and seeing everyone go back for seconds, it made our Fourth of July even more memorable.

Our recent dining experience at Famous Dave's this afternoon:…read more We dined in because last time it was a "To-Go" order and the temperature of the food was unacceptable to him. So, the Tuesday Feast for 2 special brought us back. In addition, they have a hamburger special for $6.00 and $10.00 if you would like a side. We particularly enjoyed the mac and cheese, which was as good as I remember, and the brisket was very tasty. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to substitute mac and cheese instead of fries for both of our meals. Additionally, the ribs were a hit with my family, and the bread pudding had excellent flavor and consistency. I enjoyed it very much, while he thought it was too soggy. However, there were a few areas where we felt the experience could be improved: - The Burger: I ordered my burger medium-well, (as I like no pink, but not burnt) but it arrived heavily charred and blackened, which was quite noticeable and disappointing. - The Sides: The baked beans and coleslaw did not meet their expectations. They were "just ok". Additionally, the corn on the cob was overcooked and soggy. - Portioning: We ordered the "Feast for Two," which is noted to serve 2-3 people, yet it only includes two cornbread muffins. We would suggest including a third muffin to better accommodate the group size mentioned. - Dessert Quality: While we enjoyed the bread pudding and the sauce, the ice cream served with it was freezer-burned with large ice chunks.

Her attentiveness made our visit truly special--I will certainly be coming back to try more of what was on the menu!

This worked fine for us. We had our menus and drinks in a reasonable time and had a relaxing time throughout. We both had the pulled pork sandwich along with the ice tea. I also had the cup of chili (nicely spiced). I enjoyed my sandwich (skipping the bun, as I am trying to limit carbs). My friend, whom I realized often fusses about the meals we share, was more critical. His comments were "Wrong bun, hamburger bun shoulda been an onion bun" and "How long does it take to make a sandwich?" (The wait time was totally reasonable to me.) He didn't like the potato salad (but ate it all with little time spared). He liked the meat in the sandwich, giving it a 5 out of 5. He liked the service less (I felt it was on point and just fine.) The twisted pig is a good place to eat, if it is noisy inside (as it often is) check out the patio.

Funny how the world works, I was looking to buy some strawberries but our usual stand was closed,…read more so headed over to 132 to check another strawberries stand .. yes beautiful local grown strawberries is there anything better? Well if you are living in Modesto , and have been looking for real BBQ and I mean REAL GOOD BBQ .. then my strawberry stand being closed sent me down 132 , so drove a bit further to take Dakota Ave. home .... And on the side of the road as we turned from 132 were wind flags calling me to stop and look around BBQ .. there to my left a small orange trailer just beyond a huge smoker .. to the trailer we went an array of BBQ fair listed on menu board ... now I have been looking for good bbq in Modesto for some time, and in my opinion There has been none since "My Sisters Kitchen " closed, there some good BBQ people serving the community, but seems to me no one really stood above the rest .. until now Biggityo's BBQ on Dakota Ave. we purchased 1/2 pound brisket and a full rack of pork ribs and a small Mac &cheese. WOW incredible? The brisket was flavorful tender and a generous 1/2 lb for sure, came with a small container of BBQ sauce sauce was good , nice spice but as my wife said not necessary... the meat was that good on its own. The Ribs , shiny meaty tender and so delicious, nice bite a bit of smoky goodness that did not over power the meat, sauced with just a whisper of a sweet and spicy sauce. This was the best BBQ I have had since my last visit to Rolling Smoke in Las Vegas, it used to be when asked I was going to Vegas to play pool , now when asked , I am going to Vegas for the BBQ. Now I am happy to say I can just stay in town to enjoy exceptional BBQ. It may be what's for dinner tonight too ..

Why does this Tri-Tip have to be so ridiculously tender and juicy?!…read more Seriously... why even bother giving me a steak knife? This Tri-Tip was so tender I could've sliced it with an old butter knife from Grandma's kitchen drawer and never missed a beat. And the flavor? Absolutely unreal. I swear that cow was out in the pasture happily munching on fresh grass about two seconds before it made its way to my plate. Every bite tasted so fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor that it almost seemed unfair to every other Tri-Tip I've ever eaten. This wasn't just dinner--it was a full-blown meat experience. Tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked so perfectly that it should probably come with a warning label: "Caution: May permanently ruin all future Tri-Tip for comparison purposes." 10/10. I'd gladly skip a salad, ignore my diet, and make questionable life decisions all over again for another plate of this masterpiece.

I was really looking forward to trying Big Vic's BBQ because I've heard a lot of positive things…read more Unfortunately, my experience didn't quite meet my expectations. I ordered the pork belly sandwich, but it wasn't what I expected based on the menu. Instead of the tender, sliced pork belly I was anticipating, it came with three large chunks of meat covered in barbecue sauce. It honestly didn't resemble what I would typically consider a pork belly sandwich, and I found myself a little confused by the presentation. The macaroni and cheese had good flavor, although it seemed a bit dry and firm, as if it had been sitting for a while. I understand that everyone has different styles of barbecue, and this may have simply been an off day. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope that it's helpful, because I know many people speak highly of Big Vic's. I truly hope this was just an exception, and I'd be willing to give them another try in the future.
